Reviews of Gisborne Farmers' Market
S.
Right near the heart of town, Saturday morning farmers market has a plethora of stalls, of many different varieties to satisfy yourself with.
Locally grown, owned and run businesses presenting their wares in the freshest manner possible. Wines, cheeses, baking, freshly squeezed juices, hot coffee, seafood, meat, fruit and veges, seedlings, hot food as well as live entertainment, make for a pleasurable shopping experience.
B.
Good stalls with nice product. Not all of them have eftpos but there is a stall you can go to. Bought good organic veges they had eftpos
J.
Close to town which is a plus. With some nice fruit. Not many stalls from local producers and things that you can’t buy in a supermarket. Unfortunately COVID protocols have changed the focus of the market as you can’t eat there or have samples etc … which is often a reason for going to these types of markets.
b.
Love this place! I make it a point to come here to get the best coffee in the world from the Far East coffee people and they NEVER disappoint! Love the vib and just having a nohe at all the stands. Local markets rock! 👊
b.
There was live jazz music while you shopped. Nice fresh produce and awesome avocados 🥑
M.
Small market but great produce and stalls. If here when on it is worth checking out.
C.
Great farmers market with good variations of veggies. They’re selling a great freshly pressed orange juice.
C.

Awesome place to get free range, organic and local produce in Gisborne. We go every Saturday for the Market Breakfast. Best omelette ever 😁👍❤🍳
D.
Great market everything must be locally grown or made to be sold there
D.
I always buy great stuff like fruits, vegetables, honey and other food and I have a great breakfast and drink
N.
Was OK for locals to stock up on veges. Noisy Anti-Mandate protest outside which ruined things
Y.
Lovely fresh produce, great selection. friendly people .
R.
Great morning, lots of people, excellent fresh produce. Don't leave without your "ABC", apple, beetroot and carrot juice with ginger...cheese, honey, chutneys, pickles, jams, soaps and beautiful skincare and massage oils and balms from the Lavender Ladies 💯👍👍
C.
Love this market! Beautiful local produce. Excited to find new season's gold kiwifruit and loved my Hika coffee - bought a bag to take home.
H.

N.
Buzzing from the rising sun everyone is happy and joyful mixing with the locals and trading goods, skills and hobbies.
Worth the early rise and a tasteful time if that is what you're after.
R.
Amazing market with fresh local produce, food, coffee, bread and so much more!
D.
Sort of like a confusing kileidoscope of color between hipster haven, boomer hangout, poor people pretendin:g to be rich and rich people pretending to be down to earth. Live Folk song rings out from the flavour of the week busker wile hippie girls look on swaying to said musio uncaring of judgment from the punk rock likes of me self. Socialy significant aspect of the community. Long may in reign.
T.
Lovely, fresh, local, food, coffee and more ! beautiful vibe
C.
3 bunches of long stem Rose's for 10 bucks!! Love Gizzy farmers market 😍
R.
Small limited stuffs but sweet and wonderful ambiance around. The venue is near the city centre and it has got an ample amount of fresh produce for sale.
B.
Best little farmers market in the east. Caters for all you fresh and healthy food options as well as lifestyle little indulgences. And always good intertainment. It can be a bit frustrating to move around as it is a great meeting place and many like to stop where they are and just chat forgetting that there are other shoppers around.
M.
Great Sunday morning outing interesting stalls love the food
S.
Organic food galore! A dedicated, hard working woman of the land with solid knowledge of nutrition and organics.
Kia Kaha! Well done young lady 💪👍🏼
B.
A happy & delightful atmosphere, vendors are bright & helpful with good value for money. Only one problem, too many 'customers' bringing their dogs with them, which is a health & safety issue. Also pretty mean on dogs with all the food smells & not being able to eat anything. Young children eating food at doggy leavel!! a good height for a quick lick in passing.
N.
Great farmers market - also a good place to sample some of Gisborne's wines. Nice laid back vibe.
J.
An active, busy Saturday morning market even if raining. There is surprising variety, whether you are after a locally made bite, organic veg and fruit, wine, breads, deli meat or even fish. Plenty of fresh coffee too, and even live music (and so slightly bigger and more lively than Napier).
R.
I love our market & go most Saturdays - very pleased about dog ban there wasn't enough room for them. Buskers always good - a happy friendly atmosphere & wonderful local produce.
p.
Seemed really friendly, the coffee carts are really good. Wide range of things to eat on-site and some cool honey places.
J.
Great place to get your veges for the week! So fresh, grown by friendly local farmers. Heaps of vegetable selection along with jams, coffee, live music, sweet treats, cheeses etc. Good vibe

J.
A great place to get a coffee, your weekly fruit and veges and just meet up with the community.
T.
Renata's sweets, the omelette, if you like cooking the mushrooms. Ready-made meals from Wendy. And of course hill orange juice. If you are lucky and they have the ugly fruit, you should definitely try.
R.
This market was a little too small and way too crowded for our tastes. I'd love to see more booths and more space to accommodate all the people. The customers are here and ready to buy; they just need more businesses.
M.
Scored some wine, some fruit, brioche, some more wine, happy with those purchases. Note, can't buy anything until 9:30 AM, so getting there too early is not a wise option.
J.
Excellent farmers market wide selection of quality produce
