Reviews of Tauranga Farmers Market
J.
Incredible variety of stalls! Stocked up on fruit, veg, bread, fish and meat. Had a very good coffee and ate the best Dutch croquettes (kroketten & bitterballen) we’ve had in NZ!
D.
Mostly fresh produce sold here. A few ready to eat foods. Looks like most things are grown, made and packaged with love. Among the things we saw included nuts, smoked fish, eggs, veggies, kombucha and breads. Ready made food included crepes, noodles, dumplings and some deep fried foods. Live music really sets the tone for a great Saturday morning
R.
This isn't the biggest market, but it has a nice variety of produce, some delicious cheese, good bread, and a few food stalls. We went early and it was already getting crowded; so I suspect it gets very busy later in the morning.
N.
Beautiful market with plenty of fresh produce. The stalls are run by growers who know their product and love to share their story. Eftpos is mostly available and you can withdraw cash for a $2 fee. Meats, veges, breads, cheeses, fruits, baked goodies too. Great place to stop by for a chilled and friendly Saturday morning.
H.
thanku to all u market farmers we apreciate ur food service an frendly smiles 💜
B.
The vibe at this market is the best. Hard to beat, so many friendly people and amazing vendors. It's definitely one of my favourite places to be on a saturday morning :)
徳.
Fresh veggies, eggs, milk, meats,bakery…
It was awesome!
J.
Very nice place to spend some time and but nice quality produce, always fresh.
J.

M.
Great selection of fresh produce and friendly vendors
H.
It was beautiful morning to visit the market, we got some sweets, dumplings, a steam bun and orchid plant pot. We will come again.
M.
Vibrant farmers market and mostly selling their own grown fresh produce
R.
Beaut market this one, I get most of what I need here, other than the supermarket. Great coffee, French bread, organic veges and fruit, eggs, fabulous cakes, and traders always very friendly and helpful.
C.
Have been visiting for a few years now since moving nearby. Great vibe, decent and reliable selection of stalls.
G.
Great market place with lots of local fresh produce, Live music, coffee and more.
m.
attractive, full of vibes,I bought lots fresh organic veges,Lillies, macadamia nuts, oranges, black sourdough.. always more like eggs, sweets and foods. easy parking around 10am.
M.
A great place to find local produce, home baked goodies and many other fresh produce. Sometimes, you get to hear some nice music too. I like to take a stroll there, listen to the buzz, admire the different breed of dogs that one can see and enjoy fresh crepes and bread.
J.
If you're chasing organic produce, there are a couple of great market stalls to make a run for. Six toed fox Organics is one, and Abundant Backyard organics is another. There are other smaller organic stalls, but hardly worthy of your time. Forget organic coffee - you'll have to drive your hybrid hippie kombi to the Mount for anything decent. I had to drive to Huckleberrys to get organic fruit, as Abundant Backyard and Six toed stalls don't sell any. Definitely worthy of an early start on your Saturday morning- who cares about your hangover ... get some high quality greens in you and get the detox going!
G.
Always great. In the main, all stall holders are pleasant and attentive. BUT, like everything in life there are always some exceptions. This place is no different. Customer service "Should" feature prominently
A.
Live music that you want to hear even when you don't listen to that style of music, excellent bacon and egg buns, friendly staff, good spot for breakfast and a browse. Cheap prices direct from a local. Did I say the smoked bacon and egg buns were EXCELLENT! Yes I did so we will be back.
W.
Enjoyed the samples. Yummy foods. Across the street is a good second hand shop
r.
Been to many different markets around the world and this rates very well.
Clean, organised, friendly with a nice ambiance, quality produce from growers, love to support small producers.
W.

D.
So underrated. You can get most of your fresh produce here for the week at massively reduced prices. Awesome live music as well. Great range of specialty foods as well with spices, cakes, and cheeses. Would absolutely reccommend Sage & Grace for their amazing fresh cakes!
H.

J.

S.

Genuine organics/home grown vegetables on every Saturday. Plenty of parking spaces for customers. Cash out is available inside by swiping your eftpos card. 2$ charge for one transaction which is really handy to help the shopkeepers. Coffee, tea and fresh juice stall is also available. Prices are really meeting expectations. Kudos to the farmers and the people buying from here
S.
Perfect spot for fresh seasonal veg etc

Great place to stock up for the week. For a small market it covers a lot. Saturday morning each week. A must go.
P.
Great experience, especially on a sunny Saturday morning. Good splattering of fresh produce sellers, cheese makers, some meat product makers and fresh food and coffee guys.
A good outing for families, and even with dogs, for some good, and a leisurely coffee while listening to some busker..
S.

R.
Great market. We arrived late in peak season and there was still plenty of produce to choose from. Really good range of organic and free range range.
Great parking even for out 11 meter veggiegardener.nz bus which was a bonus.
R.
Was invited to go along to this market and really glad we went. Lots of different produce and home cooked products. There was even music with a number of small stalls to have coffee and food if wanting to sit and relax for a while.
A.
I love going every week. Live music and awesome products ranging from vegetables to meat and breads. It's is a family friendly event which I highly recommend .
N.
A fantastic farmers market. Lots of fresh yummy things to buy. Grab a coffee, have a look around and buy some goodies.
There is always live music too.
Don't forget your reusable bags😁
S.
Lots of interesting stands that have fresh foods like eggs, tomatoes, and oranges. There are plenty of prepared foods including pies, grilled peppers, and even food for cat & dogs. There are usually 2 coffee stands on either side which are always busy. Everyweek there is a different musical group playing tunes for all of our enjoyment. Its a lovely place.
The only issue is more of a social one and that is every gate into the farmers market is guarded by beggers. Its certainly uncomfortable seeing them every week. But NZ simply isn't taking care of our people. We need universal basic income now more than ever so that no person in NZ will ever "need" to beg the gov or its citizens for money. As UBI is NOT tested like the current WIC system which is really horrible.
UBI will reduce crime, reduce homelessness, and reduce begging.
L.
Great place for local fresh produce and to sit back listening to the live music, having a drink & yummy bite to eat. Always makes for a nice morning out.
