I bought quite a few of vegetables and fruits. I also bought eggs for the first time as someone told me they are very nice. I love different stall that serve cooked food. I also bought sourdough breads and danishes from the bakery stall and the lady's stall who sold us the sausages is so tasty and delicious. It's a great place to hang out in the morning and have breakfast at the waterfront if you feel like having something different on a Sunday morning.

Good alternative when there is 1 drop of rain and they close the riverside market. There is good variety of quality food, but expect some pricer item than the Lower Hutt market. Recommend

Hand crafted Miss Korea Kimchi made in Porirua for sale here. What's in the Kimchi are Incredible. No artificial flavour or nasty chemical. No Sugar, GMO free and of course no MSG. Use fresh vegetable from locally produced if possible. Many different kinds of Kimchi. It can be taken away to home to eat with your home meals or you can eat at site with your purchased meal. Beautiful day, endless food choices. Recommend the oyster fritters from the mussel cart and empanadas from the Chilean food truck. Next time the dhosa stand.

Full of fresh veg and fruit for reasonable prices, also has hot food vendors on sight. A must visit if you're in town

Open fresh market. Located between Te Papa Museum and New World Supermarket. Fresh vegetables and fruits are on sale. Buying from direct vendors is really cheap. There is also a street market next to this fresh one. Food carts are along the street. International food from several countries are cooked hot for you.

This market has varieties of fruits and vegetables at slightly cheaper than supermarkets but this are fresh not frozen so you can go for it. Don't forget carry your own bags 🛍. Around the market, you can also enjoy listening live songs while eating as there are lot of different types of food stalls are also there. Overall, it's a great place to must visit if you want to spend some quality time.

This is my Sunday morning love❤️. Walk by the harbour front and get all the fresh produce with considerable prices. You will get all sorts of vegetables, fruits and poultry. I also enjoy the musical performances every time I visit. Many eateries from different nationalities and something new to taste every Sunday .

Only walked through the market to get something to eat & that was a rote from Rote Bay stall. I got chicken and shrimp with garlic yogurt and mild chili sauce and it was very nice in deed.

Even in the rain they turn up. Thriving and the fruit and veges are cheap!!! Dumplings slap hard too

Loved my empanadas and my partner got a very oystery fritter that she said was pretty good. Free filter coffee with the fritter though.

Had the most amazing dim sums and sticky rice from the Chinese stall! They are so friendly too! A dozen was $14 totally worth it! Chilli oil is divine but very hot! Definitely going back again!

A good size farmers market with lots of fresh fruits and veggies to choose from ! Also some good food trucks out there.

A bit on the windy side today. But awesome veges, fresh juices, fresh baking from the Regal Shortbread Co, honey from Wellington Manuka Honey Co, and Gringo Killer Hot Sauces. A good day out at the markets! And coffee don't forget the Espresso Rescue coffee!

The Oldest Market in Wellington and You can get your Vegetables and Many different Food from different trucks

Overpriced, understaffed veggie market. My least favourite in Wellington. Food stalls are great! I wish there was a bigger seating area (outdoor furniture) where people can enjoy their food while seated.

Best place to stock up on vegetables for the week, and finish the grocery shopping off with a cheeky hotdog from one of the food trucks 😉 Despite being open until mid-day, it's better to go in early before some of the veggies start wilting under the sun.

Such a lovely market by Te Papa, with delicious Espresso Rescue fair trade, organic coffees from the bright green caravan, a great variety of fruit and vegetable stalls, Thoroughbread GF breads, and a good variety of food trucks too!

Fun and interesting! The food trucks had a wide range of food choices and the food we ate were delicious. The veges looked fresh and was sad that we couldn't do any massive shopping because we were leaving that night.

Awesome market. The fruit and vegetable section had lots of variety, and good value. The food truck section was much bigger than expected. The doughnut place was amazing. Parking is a bit difficult, but that's to be expected.

Great range of fresh food available here. Shopping bags and portable shopping trolleys recommended. Best to shop around for fruits and veges. Sometimes you find better quality and price at the next stall once you've bought something. Can get quite busy too.

Can't beat the price and quality of this produce, I'm here every week without fail to save my self cash. There is the occasional item that the supermarket has a better price on but for the most part this is where you want to be doing your weekly shop, 7:30am - 2:00pm

Cheap fresh produce! Can't buy fruit and veges at the Supermarket again!

Great prices and selection of fruits and veggies every week. Much cheaper than foodstuffs stores.

Besides the fresh produce , be sure to check out the food stalls along the harbour . There’s Indian, Greek, Italian, Chinese, Damascus, Indonesian, French, Dutch food among others and it all smells and looks good. a great vibe. Love the live music too. Just wear a jacket as it gets windy. Parking is a bit tricky but there will be people leaving as you come so it should be fine. Parking charges are $2.50 per hour on weekends.

Large Sunday market selling wide range of fresh fruit, and speciality products, cheese, bread, meat, etc, plus loads of ethnic food stalls, coffee and smoothies. Definitely worth a visit during a walk around the harbour.

Fantastic Market. Plenty of range from fresh fruit and veg to bakery stalls, butchers & fresh fish straight off the boat filleted or cut as you like right infront of you. Dogs welcome but I would suggest going as early as possible as it gets very busy. They have a great range of vendors so don't have breakfast before you come down! Coffee trucks, juice trucks, crepe trucks and all sorts of others. A lovely vibrant start to a Sunday morning.

Lots of stalls. If you have time to hunt for bargains, absolutely great way to find best prices for best fruit and vegetables. Service varies stall-to-stall. Food options all excellent range and quality - priced as you'd expect for instant supply. Many gems of home-made or small-business items. Can be very crowded close to midday. Great range of fresh fish direct from the boat, and some excellent artisan meats, cheeses...

Fresh fruit and veg. Some of it is a bit tired by the end of the day as the heat gets to it but on the whole the quality is fantastic and it's cheaper than the supermarket! Always a bonus. There are also food stalls running to the waterfront serving a range of tasty foods

Only went to buy fresh fruit and vegetables. Check prices before you buy. Price per Kg can vary enormously. There's hot international food from all over the world to tempt your palette. And a nice walk along the harbour if you want to.

Best product at the best price. So much better than a supermarket. A must visit every week.

Cool market with lots of cheap fruit and veggies. Bring cash! Eftpos machines are available at some stalls but it's much easier to just bring some coins. Many of the stalls have their own marquees to keep food cool, but some of the smaller ones are sitting out in the sun so would definitely recommend getting there early.

Love it. Fresh produce and fruits and food trucks.

This market has the most food stalls and extra things to see and do but it is not my favourite market and does not have the same good deals as the Victoria St or Newtown Markets. Often the quality of the product is not that good. Still cheaper than the supermarket in most cases though.

What an absolute pleasure it is to have the Harbourside Markets once again operating after the lockdown ended. Always the best place for seasonal fruit, veggies and so much more!

This market is an amazing way to get your groceries whilst saving money and also supporting local businesses and producers. The quality is super good and the store owners are always so happy to help! For $2 you get to park which is a great price and you always get your money's worth, you can even save on plastics by buying eco friendly reusable bags. This market is so good for the environment and I would very highly reccomend, even if you are only going there for a bite to eat as the food that is available is always top quality too. Baguettes to carrots, reusable straws to freshly baked chimney cakes, you can find it all at this diverse market! Fresh milk and meat, vegetables and fruits, eggs and bread, traditional cheeses all available and this market is easily accessible from anywhere in Wellington as it is just outside te papa.

A large selection of cheep fruit and vegetables. It gets crowded quickly though. Wellington's usual food trucks turn up to compliment the fresh produce, so you can have pancakes and coffee if you're not so keen on the veggies.

A true market, one where you can buy produce at high quality and low prices. Plus it's surrounded by excellent food trucks for a nice morning out. Don't forget to hunt down the fishing boat! Just follow the seagulls for the freshest fish at amazing prices

Dogs everywhere! There are varieties international food stall, and I like Indonesia fried mee! Big portion and it’s tasty. Friendly staff! Next time can try their spicy sauce. And I ate French crepe, but there is nothing special for their Belgium dark chocolate as they just put little portion of dark chocolate.

A great place to go for a wide variety of fresh veg & fruit & flowers, with plenty of manufactured food & coffee to keep either the hunger pangs at bay or to take home for lunch. Some places offer eftpos. Great place to go on a Sunday morning and get your week's fruit & veg. Take your own reusable bags to help reduce the amount of plastic in our environment tho all sellers do have a big supply of plastic bags

The Harbourside Sunday Market has become THE weekly event for me: veggies and fruits for prices well beneath what you'll find in stores; artesan food in forms of bread, meat, pastries and so on; always some musicians present who lives up the place with live music...seriously, do visit even if you're not planning to buy anything. The atmosphere is amazing! Oh and I love to end my visits with a meal from one of the many pop-up food wagons that are scattered all around the market.

Best veggie supply for those living in downtown Wellington. Market gets busy so earlier the better!

Pretty good market offering abundant fruit and veg, however, there is so much of that and also other foods such as bread, there isn't what you'd expect to find at a typical market, such as clothing, toys, books, collectibles or cheap jewelry. The fruit and veg, and the other foods are available and quite tasty, but upmost, in a great location on the waterfront, next to Te Papa Museum.

Fresh produce at reasonable prices. Take cash though or you're kinda out of luck at majority of the places. Reasonable food as well. Just a good all round seaside market experience

Best vege market in Wellington! Always go down there on the weekend to buy produce and there's an awesome selection of food nearby. Must check this place out if visiting or loving in wellies.

What a great way to spend a Sunday morning! Fresh veges from local suppliers, awesome food vendors and entertainers provide a real laid-back vibe. It has become a must-do for Wellington visitors we know. The only blot: way too many plastic bags given out!

Great Sunday morning market with amazing choice of food and fresh vegetables ! Try the Chinese Bao and the Moroccan stands they are fantastic ! However AVOID absolutely the JK’s juice stand (with the sign ”we do not serve Donald Trump”) where my friend and I (and 2 other French girls a little bit before us) got YELLED at by the owner for literally just asking him... To repeat the choice of juices left ! He’s been the worst experience we’ve had in Wellington since we arrived 3 years ago! The rest of the market is lovely :) On the Wellington “Must do” list

For us who love fruit and vegetables, with our meat, this is a somewhat more affordable option than your regular store. Some good bargains to be had and the setting makes it even more attractive.

OK, Harbourside Market, every Sunday that's the place to visit if you want fresh vegetables, and also just a few meters away there's a fishing boat tied up by the wharf, you can purchase fresh fish off it, like they say..you can't beat Wellington on a good day, check it out take the family for a day out.

Amazing fruit and vegetables, normally spend about $50 at the supermarket, spent $20 and got heaps more. Plenty of food stalls as well.😀

Best value produce in central Wellington. If you're prepared to pick through the bruised and battered, undersized and overripe, you can eat very healthily on the cheap. As well as fruit and veg, there are many other regular stalls, including herbs, flowers, fish, meat, cakes and bread. My personal favourite is the fresh tofu, soy milk and noodles from one particular stall. There are also food trucks and buskers, so you can get a meal and entertainment as well as doing your shopping. Be aware - most stalls are cash only.

Fresh, local produce offered straight to the public from small market gardeners / wholesalers. This Sunday, open-air market between Te Papa and Waitangi Park is a great resource for Wellingtonians as produce is much fresher and cheaper than those found in the supermarkets. It is much smaller than the Hutt Riverbank Market but seems adequate as stalls do not run out of stock except for some lines at the end of the day. Prices can vary from stall to stall for some items but on the whole these truck-stalls are still competitive. And when it comes to variety, markets are your best sources, eg. find various Chinese mustard greens and other Asian vegs such as Kang Kong (water spinach, water convolvulus), snake beans (Yard Long Beans / Chinese Long Beans), Asian gourds, bitter-gourds, winter melons, daikons, Asian brinjals, Asian fruit, fresh spices and herbs, etc. when in season (in addition to the usual lineup found in supermarkets). You can haggle if you wish for boxes of over-ripe / old produce which stall owners will usually offload for a modest fee at closing time eg. bananas, other fruit (ok for cooking purposes). Cooked-food stalls offering different cuisines also debut at the same time providing shoppers with a variety of instant, takeaway foods. HM opens early and closes at 2 pm.

The best nitro cold brew coffee (I tried so far). It’s mild, fruity and smooth like the foam of a Guinness. Quite surprised, I can find something special in a Sunday market. 😌

Fruit and veggie market at the waterfront with good prices (on average a little bit cheaper than the supermarket). There are also several food trucks around for a cool lunch at the waterfront. Parking space is limited near the market.

This is a great market but i would recommend going earlier rather than later in order to beat the crazy rush and get the best produce. So many stalls to choose from. Make sure you bring cash and I would recommend bringing your own cloth bag.

I love this place ... the food and fresh vegetables are delicious.. I also look forward to buy the fresh fruit ice cream which is absolutely delicious. Great place to go to with family.. they only difficultly is the parking .. it's very busy at city

The harbourside market is a good place to buy fresh vegetables and fruits.You can find young artists playing music there.You can also find different food stalls there serving live food.

If you are in town on a Sunday, do drop in to have authentic masala dosa made the traditional way from Brahman at the market All foods are gluten free and vegan friendly.

Great Chinese dumplings and Sri Lankan butter chicken / satay chicken roti. Lots of other ethnic food. Always busy as locals know this is the place to eat on a Sunday. Often open from early morning until mid-afternoon.

Nice market to buy fruits, vegetables and more

I had the dry Mi Goreng, I should have asked for kiwi mild it was a real burner, it may have been because my mate added some chilli. Guy making the noodle dish was professional and conversant so had a bit of a laugh. Make sure you have a drink or water you may need it.

Fantastic food and produce plus super handy walking distance. And if you're driving in parking is pretty inexpensive.

Stall for Wellington Manuka Honey & Bee Fresh Farms - excellent place on Sundays for me to get locally sourced honey to help counteract my hayfever. Great service and competitive prices. Always good to say hi to stall holder, Bill (?).

Every Sunday this place transforms into a large market with vendors selling fresh produce, eatables, local craft items. Nice experience to buy stuff from here. Most vendors have EFTPOS as well.

Great selection of fresh F&V and some decent food stalls. Haven't tried them all yet but the sichuan noodle place, the greek trailer and the dosa place are on the top of my list. Got a completos hot dog on my last visit, didn't quite stack up to the Chilean ones... there's an interesting nitrous infused/tapped cold brew that ill have to crack into next time.
