These guys sell the best real fruit ice creams. Real value for money. I have tried 3 different places around the area and their ice creams contain more fruit and ice cream than their competitors.

As your travelling to Whakatane, you have to stop off here and pick up some strawberries, embracing the PYO movement. A fantastic juicy and sweet product which, having been out of the sun all day had turned the skin a bright deep red. Reasonable priced per kilo. $4.50 for a proper frozen fruit crushed ice cream with a waffle cone for added delight. Plenty of seating area outside, and a toilet is available.
