I met a guy in Queenstown who recommended a burger at GAS Hawera. It was the Bronson burger, it was named after him, He gave me the full story behind how the burger got it’s name. On our summer roadie we took a big detour just to get the bronson burger! It was well worth it, best burger I have had in ages! It was huge, and bloody delicious! I would highly recommend stopping in for a burger.

Popped in to use my AA Smartfuel discounts, could not believe a gas station can do such top notch fried chicken takeaways. Best Chicken Chunks ever tried - crispier from outside and juicier from inside, Energiser real fruit smoothies was Bomb. Keep up the great work GAS Hawera, will definitely come again.

G.A.S is an OK petrol station but it isn't my favourite. I am more likely to go to G.A.S for country fried chicken then petrol. I think that they are too expensive for fuel and I would rather spend my money somewhere else. Even with the AA smart fuel discounts, the petrol is still quite expensive. However as the only AA smart fuel petrol outlet in Hawera, I do occasionally pop in when that have a 10cents off day, otherwise I'm more likely to go you Gull

Hey turned into the station due to our tire flat. Took tire off to find a bolt in it! Asked the girl and the guy if they had a air pump which worked great if the tire didn't have a puncture! Pain stakingly taking off the tire with no breaker bar, but your staff were really nice to give us some chips and gave us directions to a motel to stay the night. They were very friendly and tried to help us the best they could and even let us buy a pie even tho they had already closed. Would reccommend to anyone in hawera needing gas or supplies! Thank you lots.
