I travel from Whangarei to Auckland regularly and will try and fuel up at Caltex Kaiwaka. Not only is the gas considerably less expensive than Whangarei; the service is brilliant. Great friendly staff that make a difference to my day.

Stop there now and again. Parking is sometimes awkward as a local or two drive in, park haphazardly across the forecourt and block the pumps. A tight fit at the best of times!! Serves it's purpose.

A small gassy in half way between Nowhere and The Unknown. They have surprisingly great coffee. The views are amazing too if you want a quick stop on your travels.
