Delicious food in the warmer. Always a delight stopping there

Always make it a point to stop here - they accept Bartercard for store purchases (excluding ciggies) which is a really big bonus. It can hardly be described as "good" food - but they do have a bay-marie / grill / pie warmer with things like fish, chips, chicken, sausages etc that are hot and ready to go. Much better than waiting while stuff is cooked if all you want is a quick snack while on the road. They also had some lovely fudge on the counter when I was last there - which was great. Staff have always been really friendly, smiley and chatty, which is a big bonus and makes stopping there a real pleasure.

Always good priced fuel, especially with a Smiles Card. The hot chips are the best! Pile on your own chicken salt 😁 The people working there need to start being friendly though, sometimes it seems like the most impossible thing for them is to smile at a customer. So much for Mobil Smiles card...

The Mobil petrol station @ Rakaia is a great place to stop & they have a wonderful selection of food 😋 & then of course they have all sorts of other bits n pieces as well. I was driving for a company that let me stop there from time to time & I would have to say a lot of others frequent the place as well. There is a workshop to the side of the shop & no doubt they get busy as well. Overall the impression I got was one of cleanliness both outside @ the pumps & especially in the shop, keep up the good work team.

Always a good roadtrip stop off , good food and service , could still do with another till at food counter to speed up turnaround. ps. our dog loves their sausages for lunch 😀

This is an interesting monument, there is a cool play park and toilets so it is a good place to use as a photo opportunity and toilet stop. I don't think that you would be able to spend a lot of time here though.

Every time we go to Christchurch we pass by to buy fried chicken love it tender and juicy. Good place people come and go.

Top site Roger and Rayleen. Pity some of your staff don't have the passion to serve your customers with a smile and a cheerful manner. Sometimes the coffees are burnt which is not a great way to get repeat business.

Great friendly staff clean toilets and a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks as well as some other items.

Love stopping here when on the road. Great food and staff and play ground across the road for the kids.

Nothing like the experience of filling up a campervan in Rakaia, especially after going along the bridge that felt like it took nearly a minute to cross.
