Great venue, attended wedding. Staff brilliant and when there was a medical incident stepped up and handled superbly. Ambulance called and patient then to hospital whilst staff kept serving and checking and serving guest. Amazing 👏 👏

I quite like this place. $25 smorgasbord special on Sunday nights. Mains last Sunday were beef, ham and fish pie plus lots more. Very nice passionfruit pavlova to follow as well as fruit and other treats. Oh, and first course soup. The place is noisy and there always seems to be too many children running around with very little parental control. The smorgasbord till has PayWave but the drinks bar does not. How crazy is that? It just makes the bar queue slower and longer.

Great place to eat with family and friends. Has one venue the caters for all types of functions, celebrations and gatherings. Truly great staff and very clean. The well maintained space is somewhere I would go back and highly recommend.

Ample parking. Clean, well lit, beautiful premises with an old school feel from the 60's. I think you have to be a member to access the premises. I came as a guest to have lunch with a friend. Friendly staff, especially the lady who waited on my friend and I. Only $11 per person for lunch from the menu, which included a selection of salads from the buffet that you choose while waiting for the rest of your meal to be cooked. I had pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce & mashed potatoes. I chose for my salad - coleslaw, pasta, and a tossed salad of fancy lettuce, tomatoes and sliced onions - all dressed with mayonnaise. There were other options for both salads and dressings, such as curried potato salad. The other menu items included mussels, chicken, and red meat. The meat portions were enough. I'll definitely be meeting up for lunch here again with my friend Sally, who is a member here with her husband.

Has the reputation as being "the best chartered club ion NZ" Lives up to it, too. I have been a member for around 25 years or more. Love the place. It welcomes children BUT THEY MUST be supervised effectively, if not, you WILL be told!

Iive out of Auckland this is a great club to belong too. Have to watch out for fast running children sometimes. One kid nearly took out a drink carrying member while I was there. Proves its a happy place I guess. Fantastic buffet restaurant. Great place to meet friends.

There's always a place in selective individual's heart and this place is one of them. It won't suit everyone but at such an affordable membership price and staple offering, it represents a good venue for exclusive meetings amid a quiet setting. The premises is well-kept and the staff friendly and professional. Ample parking is available with some shady spots too.

Great club and facilities especially the snooker and pool tables, 4 of each with quality cues etc. lots of clubs that one can participate with and all sorts of events, entertainment etc. going on all the time as well. It is a huge building with the main central bar which is well staffed and stocked with good quality bar foods available. The only let down is the restaurant both alacarte and smorgasbord meals, can be hit or miss as to its quality and quantity, especially when compared to places like the Pukekohe Cosi Club restaurant especially it's smorgasbord in all three points, quality, variety quantity and pricing.

Really great venue to hire. It was well suited for our wedding. The staff change regularly but always seem helpful. The meals here often receive good comments from around the table and are usually large portions (the buffet definitely helps). Being a member keeps drink and food prices down which is always a bonus.

It is always a pleasure to dine here. The buffet is very good and they have a great menu as well. I like that the restaurant is set apart from the dancing / band area. You can eat and talk in peace. The decor is tasteful, clean and comfortable.

I went as friend/guest. Lots of misbehaving kids while mom/dad have a drink. Very clean and tidy while not being posh.big range at the bar. All you can eat smorgasbord plain kiwi classics but very well done. Roast beef was excellent and the apple crumble was real home made as was the custard. Nobody dressed up for dinner. See the same at local Macdonald's. Only exceptions was no men in singlets. Very casual. Bit disappointed as sign say high standards are expected. I would go again for cheap drinks and great meal.

Visiting The Howick Club has been a tradition of my family for years upon years. The wait time is minimal, even when crowded. The regular food is moderate, I would personally recommend only dining on buffet nights. The ham is fantastic then. I love it

Lovely place, for all kind of things to do and with good diner possibility's! Exclusive winecard accomplch it all! Bert Pepping is taking care of that very well!!!! All the serve-lady's were verf friendly! On friday these is always life music and then thee is the possibility to dance! Greet fun! It is nice to learn how you are arranging things over here! For me, as a wonen from the Netherlands, it was a nice experience!
