Aucklands best course. Some terrific holes in this Alister MacKenzie design, lots of elevation changes and curvy terrain. Lush pockets of subtropical rainforest feature alongside a few of the fairways and walkways and every hole is different to the one before, providing constant challenge and enjoyment. And the course conditioning is usually great. Highly recommend.

One of the best Auckland has to offer. Not long but some challenging terrain. Really enjoyed my time here.

Easily Auckland’s best course. Natural terrain beautifully used to craft holes around natural hazards. Not the longest but one of the more challenging courses around. Must play if you care at all about golf

This is a fabulous course with natural formed hazards and well maintained facilities. Highly recommended.

The only Alister Mackenzie designed golf course in New Zealand; and constantly ranked in the top 10 golf course in New Zealand. The exterior of the club house is rustic, but the changing rooms are surprisingly modern and well designed. It's a private club, but offers opportunities for non-members as well; although only members that can use the all-grass practice area. Some area around the green can look patchy, but that's actually part of the challenge. If you go to the starting/pro office, you can get the information about the holes on that day. It's a strategic course and many holes will trick you, so play wisely. The green are very-very fast and very tricky as well. So if you want as much information as possible, you better buy the detailed course information booklet.

Great place for green feild game

The 1st of our multi golf game tour to NZ. We played on 1st March and joined the Black Tees Friday. The 2 high handicappers (used to resort style courses) couldn't understand why I selected this course until the 2 low handicappers explained the intricacies of the course layout. After our round, we met Doug White at the restaurant and he's even more friendly in person than on email. Only regret was 17th hole was under repair so there's the excuse for a return trip 😜

We played with two local members, Ron and Karen, who were very welcoming, friendly and shared course knowledge. The course is dry from the drought, but still a great layout and very challenging and fair. The greens are in good shape and you must be aware of uphill v downhill putts. This is a great course and will be excellent when the rain comes.

Well definitely one of the top courses in Auckland, if not the best. A little short in the front 8 holes but pretty technical. Gorgeous course well maintained. Greens are hard and fast so make sure you bring a fairly new wedge and polished short game to this iconic course.

I would have rated higher ,but after the day I was totally buggered 😉the day was great,it was all for charity and it was a fun day playing ambrose. We four in our team had good shots and bad , me more bad 😆 there were great prizes and free alcohol and food all day,as well as water, and we also had a very nice dinner after the prize giving. I would go again ,but probably use a cart if available. Thanks for the day ot with Van de Brinks Chicken company 🙏👏👏👏

Superb. I see why it's so highly rated. Open fairways and not very long but very challenging greens. A good wedge player's dream come true. Friendly members. Good clubhouse. Didn't eat at the restaurant. Good practice facilities. Will be back for sure!

What a beautiful golf course! After a tasty lunch here I enjoyed whizzing around in the golf cart watching hubbie and nephew in law as they enjoyed a round of golf. Golf cart was a tad temperamental and kept stopping but once we sorted that it was all good!

A great Alistair Mackenzie course, and the only one in New Zealand. It's tough but rewarding, and the layout is so interesting. You can't bomb this course with a driver, it requires more subtlety than that, the greens are undulating, fast and true, and protected by some brilliantly contoured bunkering. It's a true golfers challenge. You'll use just about every club in your bag, but don't be surprised if you shoot a little higher than handicap - if you get out of position, Mackenzie hurts you - but you'll love it anyway.

What an awesome course. The front 9 was good with some fast greens, but managed to post a good score. The back 9 really challenged me and added another 10 shots. Will definitely play again.

Great course. Friendly staff throughout the club from pro shop bar and kitchen. Recommended.

Course in excellent order and greens outstanding for this time of year. Always a great challenging course that most golfers will enjoy. Clubrooms and Locker room confirm it is a proper Golf course

Titirangi is NZ’s only Alister McKenzie Course. It’s short but challenging with wonderful native trees, fast and testing greens. A great clubhouse and 19th hole and welcoming club members. The club professional is a terrific fellow as well. No better place in Auckland to play golf. No one who enjoys golf will be disappointed here.

Very challenging and we'll setup course! Need to hit the ball straight and find the right part of the green. Greens were a bit slow when I played otherwise it would have got 5 stars

Great course layout. Unfortunately can lack a quality finish in fairways and greens. Hopefully they sort this and it will be a top 5 course in NZ.

Without doubt Auckland's premier golf course...Alastair McKenzie design ensures every hole a challenge...typically challenging greens, numerous bunkers in parkland setting. Excellent facilities, pro shop, club rooms, bar restaurant. A must play if in Auckland.

Hands down one of the most enjoyable golf experiences in Auckland. A course you could play every day and never get bored. Every club in your bag will get used. A real challenge off the Black Tees! Especially the Par 3's!

You'll never get bored here! Constant challenge to shot making, course management and your own mental strength. Brilliant design by Dr Alistar MacKenzie. The ultimate test is on last friday afternoon of every month, The Black Tee Challenge- 6,000 metres of golfing brutality.

The fairways are not in as good a condition as a golf course of this quality should be. It was good though and the bar staff excellent

Awesome layout. A couple of weirdly layed out holes but otherwise great. Fairways were in pretty average condition but the course with a little more time spent on the fairways would be one of the best courses in NZ. Great food upstairs :)
