What an awesome family friendly spot! It was our first time camping here for the long weekend and we loved every moment of it. There were large groups staying and my children had lots of play mates. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Great facilities, well maintained. The pool and playground were a special treat. Forgot to try out the mini golf course, next time. Thanks for a great camping experience, we'll be back!

Definitely a great place to take the kids after daycare, very beautiful, calm and a pet friendly area. A hidden gem for sure! A beautiful sunset for those that want a romantic evening. The area is very peaceful and lovely houses too.

Just finished up 2 nights here and honestly it is an awesome place. So family friendly, pool, kids playground, everyone is so friendly and the facilities are so clean! Get away from the city with this one! We will be back!!!!

We had a good 4 day stay at the holiday park. Good facilities and a child-friendly environment. Easy access to the water and some good fishing to be had near the boat ramp. We will be back.

Our first visit… such a fascinating place, with a nice stony wharf over the water, make it the best place to watch sunset… there’s also a cool playground there

Great place..ask about a pet site ..not enclosed but all the rules layed out. Very friendly staff. Was very full when we arrived..beach a short walk away.

This is a lovely gem of a place very close to central Auckland. It took us just 45 minutes to get back. We stayed in a pet friendly cabin with our friends in tents on the powered site next to us. The toilets, kitchens and showers were clean and everything worked well. We also had friends staying in some of the self contained units which had amazing views from their deck. All in all we had a wonderful time and the kids had so much fun and oh of course my dog had a great time as well.

Did not stay at the holiday park but went for a beach walk as a group of us had gone to a dear friend's favourite place to remember his life and the impact he had on all of us. A man who had a great trust in his Maker, and a real appreciation for all creation. Could not have had better weather. Great to see the guys on their wind surfers gliding on air over the water.

Is an ok park. Dog friendly but they are picky about the breed and you are almost shunned for bringing a dog. We took our dog and when we popped out for a few hours into town we left him under our awning (fully covered) with water and food. Dog never barks would have slept the whole time. However when we came back we had a big notice attached to our caravan telling us we couldn't leave the dog at the site when we went out. No where on their website does it say this, just that he would need to be on a lead at all time. The guys came up and told us there had been heaps of complaints - unlikely! I would recommend putting this information on the website so people know. You arent allowed to walk your dog through the park at all - you have to go out a back way - nice reserve to run the dog though and right across from the beach. Pool was closed due to too much splashing??? So we couldnt use one morning after we arrived. Then it was really cloudy and gross looking so we weren't that keen to use. Had bits of junk floating around in it. Very dated. Rubbish also floating around the perimetre of the park. Lots of it, was off putting. Showers are amazing! Great pressure and was impressed to see they spray the entire bathrooms down with disenfectant each day due to covid. they always looked clean which was nice. Kitchen facilites very dated could do with an update. Really cool playground for the kids. Pool table was broken. This place is really close to the beach was too windy when we were there but nothing against the park - just a nice cyclone blowing through. Found the staff to be very abrupt and rude. Especially the reception woman. Although the guys around the park were quite helpful. Wouldnt stay there again though, didnt really feel welcome.

Wonderful place to camp for a relaxing holiday. Very helpful friendly staff, sparkling clean facilities, swimming pool and children's playground. The beach is also great for swimming and walking along the picturesque coastline. I will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful campsite so many facilities suitable for everyone, affordable price and beautiful location. Had a lovely lady Suzanne organize our booking. However, lacking customer service and manners from other staff very disappointed.

Great place to camp. Friendly and helpful staff. Campground guests were quiet as church mice after 10 pm. Good facilities, adequate kitchen and loads of hot water in the showers. You are asked to keep the showers to no longer than 6 minutes, which is plenty of time to have a hot shower.

We loved this park. Perfect spot for us! Very friendly people there (thanks Troy and Claudia for making our time there memorable!) the waterfront was stunning too.

Shared facilities were great. Very clean and everything you need in the kitchen / showers and toilets. Great that there was access to a few bbqs as well. This was our first time camping with our four young children aged 8, 6, 3 and 2. The playground, swimming pool and games room were enjoyed by my children. The free mini put was OK and very worn but it was free so can't complain. There was also access to a myriad of free balls, trucks, water / beach toys which at reception which again I thought was awesome. You could also hire go karts and bikes which my kids loved. Our cabin was warm, clean and spacious. We hired a cabin with a kitchenette which was adequate but you'd probably need to use the shared kitchen and oven to do the cooking for the family as its easier than the hot plate thing we had. Overall a great facility that I would come back to again.

Enjoyed two nights there. facilities are dated but all in good working order and clean. warm welcome. hot showers were enjoyable. recommended. :-)

We have been going to Clark's beach holiday camping grounds over 15years now. We stay in a beautiful unit which over looks the beautiful Bay. The camping grounds are so peaceful, clean, the owners n staff are so friendly, helpful, . It's gotta be one of the best holiday secret location, not now, in New Zealand

We stayed here last week for business and brought family and one of our employees. The atmosphere was just so relaxing. Hosts were absolutely lovely and made us all feel very welcome, went over and above what was required. Swimming pool was excellent and the main attraction for the kids. Couldn't reccomend it enough. Thank you Clark's Beach Holiday Park.

The service here was ok. The decor of the room we stayed in was quite dated and had a musky smell to the room. Although it was very comfy. I felt the holiday park is not kid friendly, as we had a lot of (not quite sure if they're permanent residents here or visitors) snarky comments and unnecessary attitude from people with our kids using swimming pool. Kitchen, toilet and shower facilities were very clean for both female and male facilities. Overall I'm 50/50 with returning to the holiday park. Price is right for the rooms but would suggest maybe airing out the rooms and a slight update to the decor, wheres possible. Thanks

This is one of the cleanest and friendly camps I have visited. Have always found the staff really helpful and welcoming. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Great camping ground, clean facilities, great showers, good kitchen, pool is excellent, kids love it. We've stayed here twice & will definitely be back. Beach just down the road is really nice when tide is in.

Whilst we might choose another location for the beach, etc. We had a great time with or 7 and year old sons here. We didn't explore everything, but had some great times in the pool and ex morning the local area. Camp staff/ management were all super helpful.

Friendly and helpful owners. The facilities are rather old and well used but cleaned daily. Generally well maintained with perhaps a few too many rules and polocies making it awkward in some circumstances. Biggest issue perhaps are the airoplanes which fly directly overhead while taking off or landing which especially at night can be disturbing.

Great, dog and child friendly camp ground! Very friendly owners! Very clean, all areas, kitchen, bathrooms, toilets. There are also enough facilities. The pool is great with full sun cover.

Nice location. Facilities are hit or miss. They had a nice TV room with a pool table. Mini golf is not worth it - course is in shambles and they charge for use. Bathrooms could be updated. For $20/person you shouldn't have to pay for a shower.

A good camp for Adults and children alike with mini golf, swimming pool, pool table, ping pong table, and kayak canoes. The kitchen is well presented and has 3 fridges, toasters and 3 stoves. Outside undercover are large bbq's, All amenities are free. A short walk away is a large park with boat ramp ,swings and sandy beach, ideal for younger kids however it is very tidal so planning around tides may be wise depending on what you want to do.

Nice Campground, old facilities but well maintained. Great fishing spot. Nice green sites. The Owners and their coworkers are very friendly. We enjoyed your time there. A but on the pricey site though.

A pleasant camp with a nice family friendly environment. My only issue is the recreation room is closed at the incredibly early time of 9pm. Many of us were happily reading or on their phones and were kicked out on the dot of 9pm. The kitchen closed at 10pm so why not use common sense and close both at the later time. This is the only time I have encountered this closing time in a camp. There was no other place to read afterwards with no seating in the kitchen and poor lighting around the seating area outside for reading.

A tad dated but everything in good working order. Lovely quiet location, super close to the beach and a 1.5km walk from shops and a great restaurant. Pet-friendly sites are lovely and there is a convenient access point for dog walking down to the beach.

Nice park, welcoming management, very close to beach. Mini golf which is their advertised and sign posted major draw card is about 30 years old and hasn't been looked after or maintained since it was new. They charge $4pp to play a game which is embarrassing. Also showers cost 50c as well. Games room and play equipment is pretty good but like alot of these parks they just try and get every cent out of you as possible. It's in a nice quiet area though but a bit pricey at $20pp for a powered site when you still have to pay for everything else.

Such a quiet and lovely place to just chill and enjoy the view, also amazing to sun bathe. Would recommend anyone going there if they want to escape from the busy life in city Auckland

Awesome camp ground and wonderful friendly managers. Clean and well run. Perfect spot with good swimming on the beach and a pool at the camp. Lovely area for walks and quiet and relaxing. Good prices.

Clarks Beach Holiday Park is dog friendly hidden gem in Auckland that most people don't know about and only 45mins from Auckland CBD. The beach itself is 5 star. There are plenty of cabins and space for caravans, motor homes and tents. The owners are super friendly (I think they are the new owners so ignore old reviews). Clarks Beach Holiday Park has everything including pool room, children's play ground, BBQ, table tennis, large kitchen and dinning, swimming pool, 18 course mini golf, water on each site, peach tree, kayak and bicycle for hire. You can also drive to Manukau Heads Light House which is an hour drive. Clarks beach town also has a golf course, pub, liquor shop and mini supermarket. Will be going there again.

My friend and I struggelt to get a spot on any campsite near auckland. Because our debitcards were denied over and over again, we drove arround for more than 2 hours to check all the other campsites there , we only wanted to stay for one night ( because of my flight). But everyone declined. But they didn't, they gave us a discount and the wifi passwort and let us stay at the shore site . Thank you for your kindness. 10/10

Has its own covered, outdoor pool, playground, kitchenettes and games room as well as camp sites. Has nice hot showers and is a thirty second walk to the beach. Only half an hour to Auckland too.

I have been a long time resident at the beach,now live away, always go back. The place is paradise. Don't tell anyone.

I visited Clarks beach just for a day trip as it is not far away from where i live. Its a remote location and has got a liquor store and pantry within 1km. Nice beach but nothing much apart from that.

Great place to stay prior to handing Campervan back in Auckland. Can clean and vacuum van. Easy walk or bike ride to restaurant for last dinner.

Enjoyed our stay

Had never been camping before first experience had the best weekend of my life asked for a private spot and was provided one so much to do here swimming walking mini golf pool table tennis but my favorite was the kyaking close to toilets showers kitchen very clean and tidy thanku owners of the camp will definitely return

The facilities are ok, a little tired. The staff however don't seem to want to show a smile or any hospitality. Ok but wouldn't rush back for camping

Nice beach area, small play area, clean. Good place for a walk. Lots of pokemon go spawns near the cabins.

Such friendly recption and the rates are affordable for Aucland, actually cheap. Everything you need and beautiful sites. Will come any time again

Stayed in mid December '17...what a lovely peaceful place...our unit was compact but perfectly suitable and the view was worth a million dollars. We will definitely return.

Very good size camp sites, facilities are clean and plenty, Kids had plenty to keep entertained they loved the mini golf. Amazing sunsets, the location is perfect for some sunset viewing and walks along the beach. Dog friendly park which is well managed.
