R.Don’t play here if you are looking for pristine fairways and manicures greens. But that is not what this course is about.
Look at the views and the complete & utter New Zealand rural community experience. Yet another little gem.
Sure, you may be practicing on how play out of the rough while on the fairway, but in all fairness, the volunteer member turned up while we were playing, started up the ancient, rusty ford tractor and started mowing the course.
Loved it! To the members, keep it going guys.
R.I love playing different courses and am always on the lookout for Golf Course signs on my travels. With the mountains as a backdrop it was a pleasure to play. 9 hole course with long grass around some greens but good practice to get ball close to hole.
J.We spotted the sign to Glenorchy golf club as we entered the village and played the course a few hours later. We're so glad we did. An absolute pleasure. No manicured fairways or greens but instead the sense that you're part of a wonderful, caring community. Free golf clubs, balls, tees etc and great value. My son and I had a blast. Thank you to all who are part of this club.
