T.Very nice and traditional Golf Course. An extraordinary nice Lady in the Pro shop gave me some introduction and we had a lovely chat. I found the course itself is well integrated to the terrain and has some very nice holes. It's varied and has beautiful old trees. A small downside is the street in the middle of the course, probably owed to the age of the course as the city grew around it.
P.Professionally run and relaxed. Course physically challenging for my husband in his early 60's. Hiring a golf cart was essential.
P.We had the fortunate opportunity to visit this incredible, historic golf course on our trip to Dunedin. We were politely met by Shelley, the Director of Golf, who gave us a friendly history about the golf course including the fact that it is the oldest golf club in the Southern Hemisphere and it is thanks to this club that golf was introduced to NZ! Shelley also gave us a handy run down of the course layout and direction, which certainly came in handy when playing. The course itself was in great condition and the fairways were like playing on carpet. The staff were welcoming and the players around the course were friendly and respectful. Would highly recommend popping in to this course if you have the time. Thank you so much to the club’s generous donation of green fees and a cart to support CureKids and Putting with Purpose. When we have to complete 10 courses in 5 days, we hugely appreciate the use of a cart! Thanks again, the Putting with Purpose Team
J.The early Christmas dinner was very enjoyable with a good variety of food of top quality. The surroundings were very pleasant.
M.Hubby and friends played here. Gorgeous course. Oldest golf course in the Southern Hemisphere. Staff very, very friendly and nice. Made you feel like a member. (Seems like everyone we met in New Zealand were super nice.) Members are also very friendly. Check it out if you're a golfer and visiting Dunedin.
R.We used this facility for an all day zoom conference, so a few if us could be together. The facility is great and the catering for the day excellent😀

The course is good with plenty of challenging and interesting holes. A must if golfing in Dunedin.
P.The course is in fabulous condition and the greens superb...way too good for moi!! Bunkers are the major downer, bad sand on a hard base. Club rooms have an extensive and great beer selection.
N.Oldest club in the Southern Hemisphere. Not overly difficult. Great variety of hole design. Excellent service and pro shop. Bunker sand not up to expectations
C.An unbelievably good golf course that’s let down by the fact that the older members treat it like a private club and are still living in the dark ages. In general they’re unaccepting of junior members and refuse to see that they’re the future of the game. Attitudes like theirs will continue to lead to dwindling membership numbers!

M.(Translated) Beautiful place, old trees, well maintained but in the pro shop they tried to rip us off a bit and wanted to bring something for the rackets although we brought our own, then the price for an electrotroly although none and then something for old dirty rented shoes as it was very wet was. Then a greenkeeper chased us on our lap and shortly before the approach he drove to the green to mow and we had to stop speaking. Not very friendly. Apparently marks on the green are not being repaired here!

Wunderschöner Platz, alter Baumbestand, gut gepflegt aber Im Pro Shop versuchte man uns etwas abzuzocken und wollte etwas für die Schläger obwohl selbst mitgebracht, dann den Preis für ein Elektrotroly obwohl keines und dann auch noch etwas für alte dreckige ausgeliehene Schuhe, da es sehr nass war. Dann verfolgte uns ein Greenkeeper auf unserer Runde und kurz vor dem Approach fuhr er aufs Green um zu mähen und wir mussten das Ansprechen abbrechen. Nicht sehr freundlich. Offenbar werden hier Marks auf dem Green nicht ausgebessert!
