What a wonderful place. Friendly staff and quiet, private rooms. It felt like we were staying in a tree house. Also, it was nice to have a small continental breakfast to start the day. I wish we had booked more days.

Love this place. So clean and beautiful views of the bush. Lovely friendly hosts. This is the second time we have stayed there. Would definitely stay again. Loved the bathroom so modern and the heated floor. The room had a heat pump which made the room very comfortable. Great blinds and sheer curtains blocked any light out. There are three rooms to stay in and an amazing shared lounge with spacious kitchen and breakfast was included and everything you need was provided. In summer you can sit outside on the balcony and listen to the birds or just enjoy the views or inside on the large dining table. If there was anything else to say it would be it could have done with a light leading from the car park through the walkway leading to the entrance of the house where a light did come on outside the house but other than that its a great stay.

Superb stay! A professionally run lodge with a friendly atmosphere. Clean, modern property located five minutes from central Kerikeri and two minutes from the historic Stone Store. More than happy to maintain the perfect score rating for Richard and his team.

Our stay at the Stone Store Lodge was absolutely amazing! I got ready for my wedding day at the Lodge with my family and friends. I woke up in the morning to a breathtaking view of the forest out my window and it really calmed my nerves for the day ahead. It was the perfect backdrop for our photographer to take photos of our hair and make-up being done and putting my wedding dress on. The accommodation was clean, roomy and inviting in a spectacular natural landscape. The beds were also very comfortable. I would return to stay here anytime, I wish I had booked to stay longer!

Great spot, easily one of the best places I have stayed. The host Richard was friendly, helpful and good to chat to. But at the same time he gave you your space. Room was big and basically catered to most of your needs, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee etc. The bathroom was brilliant, under floor heating and heated mirror. Great shower, plus the toiletries provided were the best I have had anywhere and everything was sourced local. Eco Castile was the brand I think. Room came with a spacious deck and great views out into the woodland. The common shared area was also spacious, modern and clean. You had multiple options for breakfast in the morning which they cooked for you at your desired time. I had the French toast which was very good. Can’t recommend this place enough. If I was back in the area again I wouldn’t even consider looking anywhere else.

Highly recommended stay, lovely spacious room in peaceful bush surrounds, close to great restaurants. We enjoyed a wine relaxing in front of the fire in the evening in the shared lounge and beautiful breakfast with other guest's.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely place, in a very peaceful, relaxing setting. Very comfortable and spacious room and facilities. A very good breakfast to start the day and Richard was wonderful friendly host, so easy to talk to very easy to deal with. Thanks for the memorable stay.

Great position in a quiet, secluded location. Richard is a great host, happy to chat or leave you alone based upon your preference. The rooms are very well appointed and the bed is like a cloud. Breakfast is fantastic as are Richard's talents with his espresso machine.

My husband and I stayed at Stone Store Lodge to begin our 2 week trip in New Zealand. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our trip. The house is beautiful, comfortable and Richard is a wonderful, gracious host. The bedrooms and bathrooms are top notch and the views spectacular. We Look forward to returning to Stone Store Lodge.

We were booked in by our daughter and son in-law as a thank you for baby sitting services and because they had stayed and loved it. A great choice! Our host Richard was warm and welcoming, the facilities outstanding and the setting magic. I hope we get the opportunity to return.

A great stay with Richard at the Stone Store Lodge. Richard is a lovely host and makes a mean breakfast 👨‍🍳. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a stunning kowhai blossom in the window- complete the a sublime tui chorus. We’ll be back again !

The Stone Store Lodge is superbly located, just a few minutes walk to the historic Stone Store and Kemp House. The room was spacious, well appointed, and with a private terrace overlooking the Kerikeri Inlet. We enjoyed a beautifully cooked breakfast in the adjoining lounge area. Stone Store Lodge is upmarket, and extremely modestly priced.

We had a great time at this peaceful oasis. The accommodations are very comfortable and Richard is a terrific host. The lodge is walking distance to two terrific restaurants, and several interesting short tracks.

Congratulations on a world class establishment, Richard. Superior room and facilities, fabulous breakfast to start the day, and the host with the most. Thank you for a memorable stay, hopefully we will get to return.

Absolutely beautiful! A wonderful, natural, pacific feeling - the tasteful building and the environment. Generous space for the guests, fantastic choice of breakfast, perfect service - unbelievable. We loved it!
