A delightful course with outstanding views (but keep your eye on the ball even long after you’ve hit it - those cross slopes are wicked!)

Back nine has some great views of the ocean and more difficult than front nine. Challenging when windy. Greens are true and fast.

Nothing really special about this course. If you in area and want to golf- course is fine for one round or two (one was enough for me). No set tee times- they just tell you to go to the tee box( #10 two days ago when I played). No marshal, no one in control of time to take off or groups you should play with. I was as single and no one would share a round with me until I passed 4 groups and settled with 3some. I requested a rental set, regular. Got ladies graphite P wedge and stiff shaft driver. Went inside after 9 holes to exchange to different driver and person at the club house was not really happy with me. Oh, well. Greens are fine, on the slower side. Fairways has a really hard ground. That course has 4.4 stars on Google, which is really far from reality. Go play!

Waitangi golf club is probably one of my top 5 courses I've played at to date. Terrain was a challenge all day. Greens were true and quick. Front 9 was forgiving, however back 9 ,WOW , trying to keep it in play was a battle but Rewarding. Views throughout can't compare and i recommend a visit as one off the bucket list. Local pro Pieter happy to help aswell. 5 stars from me

Awesome pro shop, with friendly staff. The course is in good condition, the greens are a good speed. Beautiful back 9. This was the first time we played Waitangi. We will be back, good value for the price. We walked the course, and we were done in just over 3 hours.

A course with great variety of holes. Some quite up or downhill but great golf holes, Amazing beautiful views across to Russel. A must visit for any golfer.

Really is a course of two halves, with front 9 being out the back through the bush, and the back 9 being centred around the waterfront vistas. Great course, but I did think that what you get for your money (course-wise) it's a bit above a country course, but priced well above that at $50, + $45 for a cart.

Magic little spot. Taylor in the clubhouse was awesome - and suggested playing the back 9 due to its epic views. Course has benefited from the recent rain. Some great par 4s like the 12th pictured - reachable for the big hitters and par 5s play nicely too. Didn’t manage a bird on any of the 3s but that’s user error! Rock up and enjoy. P.s missed the eagle putt.

This is an excellent golf course. Gorgeous views, beautifully manicured greens and nobody there! The staff in the Pro shop are friendly and helpful. We love playing here, it is a magnificent course and great fun to play.

This place was a surprise, because it has such amazing views... Could literally just sit, have coffee here and watch the scenery.. it's amazing feels like the time stopped!😍😍 Also the Korowha Cafe here serves amazing food.. it's a must to try the scones and coffee! Actually all of their menu is delicious!! Loved being there, would surely visit again!

Pride of the far north, great membership. Open to all. Views breath taking. Even keep a fish rod in bag if you want stop off at the 14th. For spot of fishing off the rocks. Snapper always biting. 19th hole is friendly and bar and food bar prices better(by far) than Paihia central cafes n bars. Love the course. Back 9 borders coastline with fantastic views over looking sea,Paihian Russell.views on par with kauri cliffs without the price tag . Waitangi is must play for golfers if visiting far north. You won't r be disappointed.

Feels like a world glass course you are on because of the outstanding views. Also we enjoyed the cafe food there . Girls you do a great job with the home made cooking and well priced too.

Beautiful views on the golf course, especially in the second 9. Patrons were nice. The only downside is during the summer the course can be very dry.

Waitangi Golf Club rated 3-1/2 stars: Although not of championship length, nor perhaps championship quality in all areas, the Waitangi course is still a hot favourite with locals and visitors alike. After a very pleasant parkland front nine, with lightly tree-lined undulating fairways, the back-nine is immediately more open, more wind-prone and wonderfully more photogenic - just about every hole has spectacular views of the Bay of Islands and the Pacific Ocean.

Always love a round of golf at Waitangi GC, such a stunning course with friendly people. The Pro shop is under new Management now also with Pieter Zwart taking over. Not only is he a great player but he is also a great teacher and always keen to provide the best possible customer service experience he and his team can. Pick a nice sunny day and you can enjoy a beverage or 2 with some tasty food from the kitchen and kick back and enjoy the views over looking the Bay of Islands. Highly recommend making the trip to go and play Waitangi!!
