Great golf course. Very spectacular views. Highly recommended when traveling in this area.

An awesome golfing experience. Nothing like id ever played before and I will definitely be back. Golf carts are key, and gives you more time to take on the views. Course was well maintained and the unique landscape made for a lot of tricky approaches. Bring extra golf balls for the wayward shots, and don't miss the fairways.

Don’t know where to start. Personally I don’t think there is a better course in NZ so far that I have played. In my opinion it’s leaps and bounds ahead of Kauri Cliffs in every way, even though a lot of people say Kauri cliffs is better. The locker room is unmatched for me, the clubhouse inside is beautiful and well laid out. The staff beat every staff member at every other course that I’ve ever been to. They really bent over backwards for us the entire day. From having food ready when we arrived, to parking the car and moving it into the shade beside the front door when we were due to finish so it would be kept cool, to taking us out extra drinks on the course as we annihilated our water so quickly in the 30C heat, to friendly chat and constant service...at one point I asked where the bin was and the guy replied I’m right here, insisting that he took my rubbish for me, next level! They were seriously good!
As for the course, loved it and enjoyed every single hole. My scoring wasn’t good for the day, but I simply didn’t care. Was blown away by the setting. Can’t wait to go back sometime, and fully recommend to everyone.

Spent a morning at the driving range and putting practice in anticipation of the next day of golf. Super friendly environment and great coffee and lunch spot too.

Special golf experience in New zealand.
Wonderful view. Fairway is very wide and green is smooth. However a little confused when finding gate, 8km to club house.
W.
Top course, but unplayable in the wind. Friendly and inviting staff. Golf products are a bit pricey. Although they a priced for the overseas visitors.
R.
Great golfing experience and the view was phenomenal. Deserve its place as top 16 in the world.
L.
Definitely a highlight of our trip. Despite being autumn when we played in March, the fairways were lush and greens ran true. Scenery was fantastic and wind made club selection a critical factor. Staff were extremely friendly and Clubhouse offered good selection of food.
D.
Great! You must have a try to play but I lost ten balls.

Arrived at front gate buzzed intercom & let in, it’s approx 7 Klm drive winding through the old sheep farm to reach the clubhouse/Proshop. Changed in the locker room which is massive & resembles the interior of an apartment, with lounge chairs etc. Played a round here with my son during June, we were 2f 7 on the course that day, weather was brilliant with just a mild breeze, a little stronger on ocean holes. We were originally set to play the white plates, but my son wanted to play from the back plates (we’re both low markers) when we arrived at starter, we were told “it’s long & tough from the Back, Adam Scott had not long played here & shot 75?”
None the less off we went. What a truely awesome golf course, it’s a decent drive to reach fairways which are manicured & lush, greens are huge with undulations, tiers & tricky breaks, all running quick but perfect. Views from the ocean holes are absolutely stunning looking down the coastline with massive vertical Clift faces. A fantastic day a golf, starter was right but you gotta play the course, hit a lot of great shots, score was so so but the experience was magnificent.
A couple of beers & a burger at the refurbed shearer’s shed clubhouse which has a lot of character, with memorabilia of its sheering days. We sat overlooking the practice range reflecting on a great day.

The course is staggeringly beautiful.
Yes you will lose a lot of balls as the longer grass on the outbounds hides all balls that go beyond rough.
Day was great. Some mild wind. no push. Enough time to enjoy the fabulous views.

My partner is the avid golfer not me. Yet on arrival I've never felt so welcomed. The staff were super helpful, friendly and genuine. The club house bathrooms were amazing, I had my 3month old with us so these made an awesome feed/change area for us. We went on a windy/cloudy day but the course was still beautiful. Can only imagine how amazing it would look on the perfect summers day!
J.
Loved the experience, warm welcome, then the golf course fabulous views and challenging holes, with a little lunch after the 9th thrown in. Have not played it when it is windy that might be too challenging.
G.
Beautiful course. Bucket list. The guys in the pro are just great and so helpful
E.
It was a nice course with some great views, but honestly I expected much more of an experience. Some holes you did not see the hazards or where to place your shots.
No real chipping green either so you can't prepare your short game properly.
L.
Manicure course, but hard for me, high/medium range handicapper.
I.
Beautiful course. Well maintained. Not sure what sets it apart to charge close to $600 for green fees. That’s why I give it 3 stars. Even Pebble Beach is less than $500.00 and it’s world famous. I went for it, thinking it has to be spectacular. At $50/hole, I felt a bit cheated. It was part of a golf day offered by Crystal Cruises. So I figured that there would be some wow factor in it. But if you have the time and the money, go for it. You will have a lovely day of golf. Don’t forget your camera. You will want to snap a few photos whilst golfing.

(Translated) 2020.01.04, score93, yesterday was too focused on playing, neglecting the beauty, today aerial photography and walking to experience again, slowly realize the designer’s intentions and wonders, it is a masterpiece
2020.01.03, the famous kidnapper corner, less shocking than expected, the wind is too difficult to judge the distance, very dramatic, people are sometimes happy and worried, the stadium is very nice, encourage family to accompany 👍

2020.01.03,著名的拐子角,少了些期待中的震撼,风大得难以判断距离,极富戏剧性,让人时而欢喜时而忧,球场很nice,鼓励家人陪看👍

(Translated) The course is built on the cliff topography by the sea, with beautiful and spectacular scenery. Several holes have to cross the cliff, which is very challenging. Among them, there is a par 3 hole on the top of the cliff. The wind is very strong, the standing is unstable, and the putting is affected by the wind. , Very exciting. The scenery is too beautiful and there are too many challenges.
