This is a beautiful privately owned golf course. The owners have kindly allowed the use of their golf course to respectful visitors for nominal fees. The golf course has stunning views of the Bay of Plenty, Major Island, Motiti Island and beyond, beautiful mature trees and fairways.

Amazing views of Bay, well maintained course, immaculate greens. Fees were only $25 for 9 holes, cart $40. Well worth every penny. Customer service was very professional.

What a beautiful golf course…and the views! Thoroughly enjoyed a round with friends after recently visiting Tauranga and I would highly recommend the trip out to Summerhill Estate Golf Course. Right from the first hole (which isn’t as intimidating as it seems at first!) the course is challenging without being overly demanding and is full of interesting twists and turns along the way. And did I mention the views??!!

This is an absolute treasure of a course. A hidden gem. Loads of work has been done by the lovely owners. Owner Tonia is the loveliest hostess. The views are totally amazing. Lunch was a delicious toasted sandwich sitting in the sun under their veranda. Would certainly recommend for everybody to play and would play it again at a drop of a hat but being from Timaru may not be possible, but so so pleased we have this one ticked off our golf course list.

A hidden gem on the hills above Papamoa. Lovely course with great greens. Taking a cart made the hills easy and we had a very enjoyable round with a nice casual lunch and a beer after the golf. Highly recommended.

Haven't played it yet but looks fantastic. Will be a hard walk as pretty steep, and no carts available. Basically a 9 hole course with different tee blocks to alter angles and distances for 2and nine. Really challenging because of the slope.

First time playing there & only managed 9 holes as my fitness level wouldn't allow me to do a full 18 holes, especially the climb uphill on No 1. Beautiful panoramic views of the entire coastline north and south. I recommend a local to play with as a many of the fairways are difficult to get a driving line on if you are unfamiliar with the course. Tonia in the Kiosk was very helpful & made a nice coffee to help me recover from only 9 holes. Highly recommended as a golfing experience with amazing views as if ymight have arrived in heaven.

This is a great course but slow play on the weekend is horrendous. I appreciate it's marketing a relatively laid back vibe, but to spend 3 hours being stuck behind groups of 5 and 6 who share 2 bags of clubs between them kind of puts you off

First time up there today. It's a steep course with several blind crests to drive over. Fairways in very good condition. Smallish greens with tricky slopes. Excellent condition greens. Very quick. A real bargain at $20. Can't wait to return.

Fantastic Golf Course! Come out for a staff function and it was great. Course is in excellent condition, awesome views and friendly owners! We would like to highly recommend that other visitors go have a game at Summerhill!

Went to another course and couldnt play due to a tournament. So one of the gents in parking lot directed us to summerhill. So glad he did. Had a blast on a great course, challenging and well kept. Had a great time though and lets justice say that we will be back to summerhill and not to the other course. Also, the views speak for themselves.

Tauranga’s best kept secret golf course. The views from here are breathtaking and the course is a great little 9 hole course. They have eftpos and a round of golf is $20. The grounds are immaculate and the course is just a pleasure to play on If you want a relaxing game of golf with great view this place is a must
