Reviews of Titahi Golf Club
A full 18 hole golf course overlooking the Titahi Bay. Awesome location with very well maintained course. A must visit place for golf lovers & everyone else too. Savour the sumptuous meals served over weekends which are open for all ( pre-inquiry with the club is recommended though).
Titahi Bay has world class views, unforgiving rough where you’re not finding your ball on much of the course (links grass and pine forest, steep drop offs off course), and some pretty decent up and down terrain requiring moderate fitness if not using a golf cart. Aside from the occasional muppet taking advantage of the pretty high trust model admission and hitting a ball at you on the fairway, it’s an underrated course and, I’ll say it again, the views are insane. The onshore wind might write off the occasional round but all and all, a great course.
Brilliant! Location is amazing, the course is 9 holes and feels links-like. Good risk or reward challenges and nice greens. Probably one of the best 9 hole courses in the land. Oh and this is the home of Michael Campbell, a golfing legend.
Very efficient yummy kai I o ly had cream paua and fried bread
First time here, think we lucked out with only a light breeze from mana island, real risk and reward course, almost drove a couple of pat 4, still walked off with 7 as I was in the rough but only by a few feet.
Stayed in motor home over night, expect if wind was up you might get rocked a bit. Well worth the drive up the hill.
Went for dinner tonight. I was pleasantly surprised. Some great menu options all in some quite large portion sizes. The burger and chips will fill you and a mate up, or make for a nice bit lunch the next day. The staff are upbeat and responsive. The drinks and food are all VERY reasonably priced. Would recommend for a nice dinner out that doesn't cost the earth. Just be careful of the parking at night, not very well lit.
*Open Friday nights from 5.00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11.00am*
Great course Great members..so I joined up.
Great food, fantastic view.
Great for moderately skilled players
Rolling hills and exposed to prevailing winds make this course a great challenge. Ideal for learning to plan your holes.
I was living in Tawa 1989-1990 and I was a member of Titahi Golf Club. I liked the course, sometimes it was a little special hitting a drive over 2-300 sheep but no problem with the sheep as the greens were fenced.
Every Sunday it was a Members day, starting with golf around 8.00 and then great food and some drinks in the afternoon.
As all NewZeelanders the members were very friendly and helpful. I really loved my year in Wellington and all good golf courses around Wellington.
Maybe some members still remember the Swede that hacked their golfcourse 23-24 years ago!
Sven Johnson
Great local course, $20 for 9 holes, $30 for 18 holes. Challenging in the wind.
One of the most friendliest clubs you can visit. The food and company alone is worth even if your game sucks that day
