As a visitor from the UK I was made most welcome by the Management and the members of this delightfully friendly club. You have to know where to hit your ball to on the course especially on the magnificent undulating albeit large greens. It was a truly fantastic experience thank you Royal Wellington.

I am a new member of the Royal Wellington Golf Club. I would consider myself very lucky and proud to have the opportunity to play at the best golf club in Wellington. First, I would like to thank you Royal Wellington CEO Kurt Greve. He is so friendly, helpful and has shown me around golf club making me feel very welcome at the club. A special thanks to Marina Wilson, Wills and Charlie whom are so friendly and pleasant. The golf course and amenities are beautiful, excellent, the green is great condition. I love playing on the greens. The clubhouse facilities are of a very high standard and the staff are friendly. I am looking forward having more fun and meeting members at Royal Wellington Golf Club . Wellington’s best golfing experience .... a mix of picturesque parkland and riverbed, this place is both magical and challenging..... but, there’s more .... the membership is both strong and civilised, the clubhouse oozes history and the staff are friendly and efficient. Several groups play during the week which welcome visitors.

Royal Wellington Golf Club rated 4-1/2 stars: As one of New Zealand's oldest courses, and to date one of its only two "Royals", Heretaunga provides a very pleasant and not too stressful golfing environment. At nearly 6,900 yards from the back-tees, the course not only provides a very good test, but includes a few nicely elevated tee-boxes as well.

Beautiful course. If you get the opportunity to play here, take it. Immaculately presented and some very challenging holes. Make sure you are dressed to the code, this is not a club that makes exceptions!
