Te Marua Golf Club has a picturesque course located north of Upper Hutt. Enclosed by the hills and Te Marua River and laid out over different level, thearde course presents both challenges and amazing views. The course itself is in excellent order with lots of colourful flowering plants and gardens. The prices are moderate, about what you would expect for a course of this quality. Thr clubrooms have an upstair eatery and bar that provide both great affordable food, but also great views of the course. My favourite golf course in the whole Wellington Region.

Best golf course in the Wellington region. Very picturesque and a great mix of both easy and challenging holes. Definitely a must if visiting Upper Hutt. The 1st hole for men is the signature hole whilst the 15th "the drop" is for the woman.

Didn't feel overly welcome being a paying guest on the course on entry. But all was good when on the course. Beautiful greens and tranquil atmosphere with the river running throughout and round the course. A cheeky beer and food in the clubhouse hit the spot nicely too.

The course is looking good in particular the greens. #1 is quite a challenge where you got to drive over the river. Its wider than you think. Yup my ball ended up in there this afternoon lol🤣. That's golf. If you are a casual average golfer you need to carry a few golf balls.

Challenging course with two quite distinct halves and some long holes for the average golfer - but a fair test, with a premium on straight hitting. First hole requires a tee shot across the river, which gets your attention early!

Great challenging course. Signature hole is number 1 with a elevated tee with views across the front nine. Tee shot off one is a full 180ish carry across the river to the fairway. River is in play on many of the holes

Difficult as non te marua members can't book tee times. That being the case you cannot pick up from the Web site competition start times to ascertain availability and have to ring. I don't believe club is manned all the time and so opportunities are falling between the cracks. Having said the above Te Marua has the best front 9 in my opinion and of late the greens have shown far greater speed than in the past
