Reviews of Carlucci Land
N.
A fun place to go for mini golf. Although pick your time to go carefully, as it's a compact space and can get crowded with people, and vehicle parking is limited. It takes about 1 he to get around, depending on your group size and MG abilities.
D.
It was a fun day out. The courses were great and well looked after. The decor was creative. A lively place to visit.
G.
By far one of the most quirky and fun mini golf courses we've visited... and we've done a few! The green on the first hole was a bit bumpy, but the rest played well. The kids loved the extra challenges on some of the holes, watching their ball travel the rusty tracks and spirals hoping it would pop out close to the hole. Some of the holes were on split levels of the course too which was cool. Perfect family outing
l.
Have always wanted to check this place out & finally got the chance to & loved it..🤩....Gem of a place, very creative & fun..Wellingtonians should be proud & embrace this place for its unique, quirky vibe...Family had a great time..Has an honest, family orientated buzz to the place..will definitely go back to have a proper look as was too focused on winning..lol..💯💥💫
B.
Fun little mini golf course. 18 holes. Lots of well designed hole incorporating metal tracks and tunnels. Awesome metal sculptures
S.
Best challenge mini golf around (kids likely to bend rules or may get bored! Keep that in mind & be ok with it). Fun sculptures and side activities for everyone
P.
We went as a family of six and enjoyed the course. It was superfun experience. We had some good laughs and squeals too, at the odd hole in one, which was hard to come by. We will go back again!
G.
We were pleasantly surprised by what we found when we arrived. I'd only seen it from the road before and built an expectation around that, but we were after mini golf for the kids. The course took a while to get through and provided interest and entertainment throughout. It was decent value for money and we'll probably go again, now that we know what's there.
There are a couple places where parents need to be very careful with younger children, especially those that have to touch everything and those that are prone to stumbling.
The sculptures are quite varied in interest levels. Some feel like scrapyard salvations and others are clever designs. There might be something for everyone, but you might need to look out for gems amongst the rough.
R.
Great place...have been a few times and forever being updated. Great sculptures and little surprises. Would totally recommend.
J.
Absolutely amazing place! If youre not enjoying the minigolf for some unusual reason, the steampunkish art there is sure to blow you away. The staff are as amazing as the atmosphere and I'd happily (and desire to) go back again sometime soon. Thanks very much Carlucci Land!
A.
Best Mini Golf course I've ever done and I've been back several times. You can tell that the owners have spent YEARS making this quirky little place into the repurposed-wonderland that it is. $12 / person, and fun for every skill level. The art walk at the end is a rad bonus!
D.
Awesome mini golf experience here in Wellington. The art is a very interesting addition to a common concept which makes it stand out above the rest. Staff were friendly and even put the lights on for some twilight golfing. My children loved it. Thank you Carlucci Land!
K.
Amazing place to visit full of individualistic metal sculptures repurposed from their original homes.
Also one of the most crazy crazy-golf courses that you will find. A must do.
D.
So many awesome sculptures and random things to check out while playing putt putt. Greens could do with bit of maintenance..... but that's part of the charm. Fun for all ages
B.
Such a cool place, highly recommended for young and old. Fun mini golf course with a range of easy and tricky holes. Many have neat metal contraptions to guide your ball. Space is covered in really well made metal sculptures made from old junk and parts. Mini golf was cheap and while busy you didnt feel rushed.
A.
Absolutely amazing definitely recommend great fun for the whole family.
b.
Very interesting and quirky obstacle course for the golf balls. interesting sculptures from scrap metal. Best minigolf I've experienced.
S.
Great fun
C.
Honour system of payment, awesome set up, not fenced though and next to a busy road so can't take your eye off little kids. Loved it.
S.
A really fascinating, fun place to visit and the mini golf course is very well thought put with ball runs made of metal, going around trees and down hills. Nothing like it!!! Definitely a must see, kids had a blast!
L.
Had an awesome time with friends. Really, really cool that you can phone to get the lights popped on for some mini golfing in the evening. Well worth the money!!! The sculptures are amazing and the way things are incorporated into the holes brings the fun to another level.
B.
Crazy, creative, fascinating but tough mini golf course on the road between Brooklyn and Owhiro Bay. May be beyond the patience levels of kids 7 and below (unless you forget scoring..)
P.
This is the best experience I've had in Wellington since arriving 2 1/2 years ago. Fantastic, quirky, technical fun mini putt. Full of humour, engineering brilliance and good ole fashion kiwi ingenuity, we all had a blast. Sculpture trail is primo. Can't recommend more highly.
A.
Excellent place. We talked with Carl and it was really great opportunity to know about his dreams with Carlucci land.
Hope his dreams come true soon with this place.
D.
Wonderful time here. 17 exciting holes for only $12 is a great deal and we will definitely go again
P.
We (a group of 12 elderly) had a very happy outing...we loved the steel artwork, especially the motorbike, dragons, and television sets all crafted from pieces of steel welded together... very cleverly made. Everywhere you looked, we were amazed at the beautiful pieces... elephants, spiders galore, awesome rock ornaments too. There was an amazing mini putt golf course which we saw, but we didn't play. A mini putt golf course that looks amazing to play... unfortunately our group of aged seniors walking on uneven ground is tricky, so we didn't attempt it.
A wonderful outing, thank you very much 😊
H.
It a cute 18 hole golf extravaganza. Very unique and the artist has weaved his sculptures into the holes so you get a little show with each hole. Easy enough for the kids to try but still held my interest as an adult. Walked around after looking at the sculptures. It reminds me of the mad hatter's workshop.
A.
Great family minigolf fun. This place has an abundance of imagination and creativity both on the course and off. One of the best minigolf courses in Wellington.
L.
Awesome service, our team had an awesome time and thank you to Carl for being so hospitable
B.
Best minigolf ever, love how everything has been recycled and made into artwork. Very enjoyable and my new favourite minigolf.
S.
Fantastic place, artistic and creative. A real treasure in amongst the trees. We had a great game of mini golf too!
A.
Absolutely amazing place, with all these fascinating sculptures. Awesome mini golf course. Totally different layout to the normal game, which both children and adults loved. Also has a BBQ under cover along with tables for serving/eating food.
S.
Best mini golf. A unique and fun course.
V.
Awesome place, always have so much fun thanks carlucci land!
M.
This place is awesome - so creative! Always a fun day here! X
J.
It's just the craziest most whacky place in Wellington. Totally unique and work the drive.
A.
Great place to take the kids for a look around and a game of mini golf
L.
This is by far the most fun mini golf course I've ever played. It's innovative and eclectic. The metal artwork alone is unique enough to warrant a visit.
C.
Rustic; funky; fun; clever and unexpectedly pretty cool and artistic.
T.
This place is very nice. The sculptures were tge highlight for me
L.
A fun afternoon with some really cool stuff
M.
Fun little golf course with lots of interesting sculptures!
K.
Great fun for all!
Highly recommend a visit
A.
Really enjoyed this quirky and interesting mini golf course. Loved the sculptures. Great way to spend a windy summer afternoon outdoors.
G.
Superb little place tucked in the corner of the town. Its place for family fun and office get together's. Playing 18 holes Golf was so much fun, barbecue facilities were awesome. Really liked this place.
Z.
Fun, creative, quirky mini golf course
A.
Excellent mini golf and event area!
M.
It is an artistic place, not for art snobs, but for art admirers. The sculptures are impressive. They are incredibly complex, although representing simple thoughts and using rough metallic materials. It's a great place to visit, and affordable for everyone. You can also play an interesting round of mini-golf, with lots of scrap metal in the way. You can take a date or the whole family, it's definitely fun.
M.
Unique mini golf and art , sculpture
G.
Great quirky mini golf course, it’s even open at night. Kids love it.
R.
For over 30 years I driven past saying, one day I will pop in for a look around. Today I did. Bloody Amazing, and it's free. I offered to pay, they refused to take it. Well worth it.
A.
The staff here are so unbelievably friendly, really lovely people that you can help coming back.
The place itself is surprisingly big and some of the courses are actually a lot of fun so well worth it.
They also let you drink whilst you're going around so it's perfect for small events with your friends or colleagues.
Definitely be back soon!
M.
Best mini golf course
C.
Drive through Brooklyn and beyond and you will discover a hidden treat.
The talented owner has created a quirky mini golf course and a wonderland of mini and LifeSize sculptures .
All made from scrap metal , there is no nut or bolt that is discarded. All intricately designed including the crazy mini putt.
The mini golf course weaves it’s way up and down through tunnels and holes, all made from waste metal and retired machinery.
At $12 a pop for an adult this is a must and a unique hidden tourist attraction.
M.
Was very cool for dem kids and mandem, we call after hours they turn on light and music very sweet vibes, my wife she win very good at small golf, my child was enthralled with the snails and frogs around the park
M.
Great sculptures and really interesting mini golf, we loved it. Location is in a steep valley so loses the sun early in winter, bring a warm jacket.
M.
Awesome time at Carlucci Land highly recommend!!
I.
An awesome experience with a great vibe very worth going to, we went while there was a large group and the staff were super accommodating to us! Would really recommend and we will be going again!
P.
Coolest mini golf in Wellington with some amazing sculptures
A.
Went with 2 kids, they love it !
S.
Awesome spot where you can get lost
W.
Quirky, interesting, inspiring. Minigolf, engineering and true artistry combined into a great little amusement. We enjoyed about an hour and a half of wandering around the exhibits before we even got to the golf...
D.
It is a quirky and cool Mini Putt course. Some fun little holes. The turf is a bit bumpy and worn but still fun. When we went there was a honesty box for cash as well as a eftpos machine for paying by eftpos. It is nice and sheltered by all the large trees around it.
C.
Love love love this page, had a great time!!
T.
Very worthwhile stop on your trip to Wellington. The mini golf course is extremely fun and pretty affordable with a family discount offered. Highly recommended if you're traveling with a group/ family and are looking for couple of hours of entertainment.
H.
I took my grandsons aged 5 & 9 and they loved the mini golf and all the whimsical sculptures and so did I
R.
Excellent mini putt and amazing sculptures. Lots of fun. Make time to wander round the property after golf to look at all the art!
G.
Lots of fun, a unique course but bring a jacket in afternoon as can be cold.
m.
Awesome. Had Xmas party on location. Phenomenal day. Got last on the mini putt. But first on the beverage consuming!
K.
The most crazy if crazy golf, had great fun, don't need children to enjoy this, but if you do they will love the quirkyness if it. Allow at least 1 he if you are good that is!!
N.
A great place to hang around. Got a chance to meet Carl and he showed the placed around and shared some stories about it. Really looking forward to go there again with more friends... Cant beat welly on a good day!
K.
Such a groovy place for a game o mini golf! We had a blast!
N.
An awesome place to go for mini golf. The artwork bring the while place together.
I’ve been several times but I must say coming at night is better.
M.
Great fun, neat course
C.
An absolutely wonderful place to go, the iron work sculptures everywhere and the magical thoughts put into the golf course are amazing. Well done 😀
D.
Great place for a game of mini put and take a wander around all the art.
J.
⛳️🤠🗯 holy moly... this place is a trip. It’s a sculpture park with a mini golf course. Very interesting art but you must stop by, very kiwi, very Wellington. Its a bit unsafe considering the rusty jagged bits sticking out, but don’t let danger get in the way of a good time! 👽😎🦄
M.
Great minigolf course. Has a series of unique and fun greens, well worth the $12 per adult or $7 per child
L.
A truly unique game of mini golf. The post-apocalyptic surroundings made me feel like fighting to the death with my fellow players over a can of gasoline, which added to the adrenaline factor of standard mini golf. I enjoyed the honesty box and "honesty eftpos" payment system. Quite the charming juxtaposition in such a rugged, anarchic setting. AA++++, would hole-in-one again.
R.
Great unique minigolf course, much fun had by all :)
b.
Very good, highly recommend. Only down side bit pricey compared to other mini golf locations.
L.
Carlucci Land is a very cool place. There is a lot of cool metal sculptures around to look at and the holes are really interesting. There is a nice covered area to gather afterwards if it rains.
M.
Totally awesome, love the laidback nature of the place and the interesting golf holes. The owner/artist/sculpturist popped down and had a chat
r.
Great quirky little place to play golf, owner was really nice. Worth doing for sure
P.
Absolutely wonderful, the kids found so much to climb on and have photos taken,. We really enjoyed the mini golf too
M.
Nice but too cold for me. Family enjoyed themselves. M
J.
This is a wonderful treat for families...mini golf...iron sculptures and a wonderful collection of skilled foundry work in iron and rock formations...Carl Carlucci should be recognised and knighted for his contribution to Wellington's main attractions and unique culture. ..
C.
Awesome art fused with mini golf. Great experience
L.
Best mini golf course around! And such amazing art, very cleverly sculpted.
S.
Great little mini golf course on the side of a hill. With lots of metal work art and features.
I.
Mini golf was awesome the parking wasn’t the best but the course was awesome made up of random sculptures that also fitted into the course was great for the family
G.
Art and mini golf together at last. A well made and challenging course with lots of artistic flourishes and surprises, carved into the side of a lovely valley. The approach to collecting fees was novel too.
H.
My favourite golf place, been there since I was young and still amazing!
M.
It's really good. I think adding a few more obstacles will make some of the holes more challenging.
C.
This might be Wellington’s most underrated attraction. HIGHLY recommended, totally unique mini golf course.
N.
We had a fabulous morning playing mini golf and seeing all the cool sculptures
A.
Fun and different mini golf. Interesting metal art.
A.
Great course and fantastic art. Course could use a little tlc, some of the holes are slightly broken. Wouldn't need much work to get it up to stratch and it's bearable
P.
Great little mini golf place to kill an hour or two with kids, but also a cool little sculpture park full of quirky surprises.
J.
Really crazy and fun mini golf holes and great art work made from junk
B.
This is a really cool place full of amazing metal sculptures. Really fun mini-golf course with a great honesty payment system.
W.
Rather eccentric. Great for kids and adults. There are lots of mad welded sculptures, that look like they were conceived while the artist was on LSD. These add great depth to the place for kids to explore
D.
The course didn't disappoint - it's chaotic luck making for a fun game. It wasn't too busy this fine day and only the two of us meant hitting around the course took just around an hour.
K.
Fun day out, great mini golf course and love all the weird and wonderful sculptures.
M.
Great course. Great fun.
L.
We had a good time. My son said more dinosaur metal things please 🧒 🦖 🦕
M.
Such fun.
The course itself is tricky enough for everyone but not too hard that young ones get disheartened. (Hole in ones is totally possibly, but quite rare).
And of course the wider Carlucci Land exhibits, sculptures and niknaks are a lot of fun to check out
G.
Like mini golf? Then you can not miss out playing at carlucci land. Mini golf with a twist

L.
Awesome nightlife scenery was so beautiful. Recommend having birthday party or function there.
T.
Great place. One of a kind as it's all made from recycled stuff. Only downsize is there is no staff anyone

A.
Awesome bit of mini golf. Kids always live it. It's even got a small Dr who tardis. They they love
T.
Really cool. It could do with a bit of TLC but it was fun and my kid's enjoyed it too
W.
Excellent quirky mini golf course. Surrounded and built from amazing steel sculptures. Some of the holes have ingenious rails and tracks taking the balls up and down the hill side near Wellington. Worth a visit just to see the sculpture and art work and the interesting mirrored toilet! Very popular so allow a bit of time on busy days. The kids had a great time. We even got a hole in one!
J.
Such a cool place to go, always have a good time 👍
Z.
Always a great time having a knock about at Carlucci Land. Not the place to take your putting game too seriously, even when the competition is fierce. : )

We had our 15 year old bday party at Carlucciland and it was fabulous! Anna, Anna's mum and Carl we so relaxed and incredibly helpful - they took the stress out of organising! If anyone is thinking of having a birthday party with a difference that is low maintenance and gives kids a good appreciation of reuse and recycle in a beautiful and useful way - I can't recommend it enough! Thanks Carlucciland!
