Reviews of Karori Golf Club
D.
Awesome day at Karori Golf Club today. Such a nice relaxing place. Course is in great nick, plenty of refreshments in the clubhouse after the round .
R.
What a great course, beautiful scenery and wildlife abounds, nice long par 4 and 5's with the odd 3 for good measure. Love it!
D.
First time playing Karori, today. Complete hidden gem. Course in great condition and the narrow, tree lined fairways are challenging! Members were friendly aswel. Fun course, I'll be back for a round soon.
N.
Now heres a little gem tucked away in the country side of Makara, South Wellington. About 2mins down the road from Makara Cemetary is the left turn that takes you out to the course. Just follow the sign post and keep going until you come across it on the right.. Be prepared to share the road with horse riders and the odd cattle crossing roads..

Wellingtongolftours choose this course for its home, because its Unique
The course plays hard, its tough, challanging and you need to be a thinking mans/woman type of player.
The setting is just rustic rural NZ and the goats and bird life amaze me and my clients.
The course is well groomed and fun to play see ya on the greens
T.
Absolutely superb. Course in great condition and people super friendly. Being allowed to play a course like this for $35 as a non member is pretty amazing.
T.
Love this beautiful little course.
Easy to get on, very scenic tucked away in the valley.
Worth a drive through to the coast after the game.

I've been a member at Karori for seven years and for many years before that I was a green fees player. In my humble opinion, the Karori Golf course is the most interesting, challenging and picturesque course in the region. Every hole is unique and the course requires players to execute every possible type of shot you can think of. The members are good fun and it's a very welcoming place to be.

One of my favorite golf courses in NZ. A real challenge off the blue tees and boy do you need to be straight or you'll need a chainsaw to get out those trees 😂
J.
Great course but a little expensive (compared to others) and waterways need to be better maintained. Incredibly unforgiving.
A.
Great 18 hole golf course, well maintained and a pleasure to play
S.
Nice course, been many times. Its harder than it looks especially in summer with those fast greens.
M.
Huge improvements to the course since last played 4years ago. Greens were rolling fast and true, the fairways were tightly mowed and the members seemed very relaxed and inviting.
A.
Great challenging course south of Wellington. It may not be long but you will need to prepared for a good walk.
N.
Only downside is the road to get there
G.
This is my favourite golf course in Wellington. A great challenge, designed by Commander Harris, who also designed Wairakei International.
C.
Nice golf course, very quiet with few players, but very challenging. A bit wet in winter but well worth a visit.
M.
A little gem. Feels like you’re in the country but close to the city. Same designer as Wairakei (which is obvious once you know!)
A.
Family had a great time on the Pitch and Putt. Flags need a little love, but otherwise the course is pretty neat.
G.
Course in great condition. Not long but tight and plenty of places to lose balls and get penalised. Well worth a trip.
B.
