X.It was our last visit to NZ before the lockdown that still til today near 2 years later has our borders still closed.
This golf course is just beautifully presented and is long and challenging. I made a booking to play around lunchtime. After teeing off and playing 4 holes there was a junior championship tournament on. We got stuck behind the juniors. Then when we got to the 10th hole it took us a lot of time to play the hole out so we decided to leave and head back to the pro shop. It was a great 9 holes.
We explained our predicament to the prshop staff, and then the general manager was notified and he was fantastic 👏 . He was so good and understanding without hesitation he offered us to come back another day to play, at no extra charge inc a golf cart too.
This is why golf courses are successful with great staff like these who do what is required to assist customers.
The club house Cafe is very good with their food and coffee, as It was packed with customers and the service was very friendly and great.
I recommend that if you're in Auckland, then give this beautiful golf course a try you will love it, if not the golf then it will be the stunning views as in the pictures.
G.Holly Molly. What an amazing golf course. Best in Auckland hands down. Greens are so fast and true. Downstairs cafe a bit average, coffee not the best, but have learnt this is a leased space, so not really golf courses fault. The Upstairs bar is great, food was amazing and such a great selection of drinks.

A.Great long challenging course with beautiful views of the cliffs and the ocean on some holes. A true championship standard manicured (but can be muddy in winter after persistent rain) Not a cheap fee to play but worth the treat.
H.This is the best golf course in Auckland hands down. Challenging, beautiful scenery and well maintained. Definitely the standard all NZ golf courses should try to hold themselves to. If you are your average/beginner golfer, pack a few balls as you will definitely lose a few!

N.Fantastic course, the friendly greenkeepers do indeed "Keep the Greens" ,to the highest quality.
I have played highly rated courses in the USA but they aren't as good as GHCC.

R.Stunning views and a very good course with several very challenging holes. Long enough to challenge the big hitters from the black and blue tees, especially when theres wind, which is often. By far the best course on the North Shore, from tee to green. Could do with better trained pro shop staff though. A couple are great the rest, well less said and all that

B.Beautiful but tough and long course. Highly advise getting/using a Kart as walking this course is brutal! Top quality facilities. Pro shop pro has a bit of a chip on his shoulder but otherwise top quality course!

J.Great place but food could have been better. I ordered for lunch a lamb dish with hash potato, egg, etc. There was too much sauce which I felt made it taste like a stew. There were 5 of us and one other in our group who felt the food was mediocre..
S.Wow!!! The course is in awesome shape, hats off to the staff. It’s great seeing work done to the course at last. Think it’s time to join.
Edit: Played again last week, best course in Auckland at the moment, after such a dry summer, bloody awesome 👏
S.What a golf course... It definitely deserves it spot in the Top 50 in NZ.
Plenty of car parking.
Friendly staff in the Pro shop, who warned us about the fast greens and they were fast.
Fairways and greens were extremely well kept, especially for this time of year.
Cafe food and drinks were reaaly tasty.
Best hole has to be 16th.
Definitely recommended.

T.Can only review the Albatross Restaurant which we found surprisingly good. We have returned several times both for breakfast and dinner and found that the quality of the service and meals excellent and well priced. Views over the golf course provide a pleasant ambience.
T.The food was surprisingly good and plentiful. The bulgogi burgers were funky but delicious and enormous, and "the Kiwi" was just the ticket for my wife's gran (a pile of slow cooked lamb with sauce and croquettes). Looking out over the greens is lovely from the glass-house like room. The only let down is the dreary bathrooms, but hey, it's a clubhouse.
B.Lovely surroundings and great food with a nice twist on a couple breakfast / brunch items on the menu.
Very attentative staff. Worth a visit if you can get over the bridge.
S.Have been staying in Auckland visiting family for a couple of months. Have played about a dozen golf courses in the area and this course is by far the best. It’s the only one I have played more than once, and for good reason. So much going for it, great Proshop with friendly staff, great warming up facility’s, amazing golf course from tee to green with spectacular views of the ocean. Even the greenkeepers are friendly and helpful, helped me find my wayward shots in the rough more than once. All up one of my favourite places I have played both in NZ and USA. Will be back!
J.Best course I have played in Auckland or NZ. Just played today and the greens were like silk. Not a blemish to be seen. Staff super friendly and felt super welcome. Will be back.

Only problem i have is, if your ball went out just outside of fairway, you can't find ball. Even I hit green on second shot and it rolled into rough and can't find it few time. And green speed was fastest i ever been.
G.I have been few times already. Fairway and greens are good condition. Not busy. But need more sand on most of bunkers.

J.Course is worth it for the back 9 holes alone. Go for the carry on the 16th after all its only 200yds over water! The greens are amongst the fastest i have ever played, always leave your self an uphill putt. Take a buggy as long walk otherwise but enjoy the stunning views

S.Gulf Harbour Country Club: Clearly a case where property development triumphed on the front-nine, but nature, some spectacular views and Trent Jones' excellent design won hands down on the back-nine. Although flanked by apartment buildings and houses, the opening holes do a great job in revealing the quality of this course.

K.Quiet, professional. I almost feel out of place here which is a shame because it could feel a little bit more welcoming. There is a young gent in the cafe called Aaron, what a pleasure he was to have as our waiter!
