E.I stayed here in April and thought I had posted but it appears to have gone missing SO having stayed a few yrs ago as well and loved it I went back but stayed in the upstairs accommodation.
Modern compared to the character and old worldy charm of the rooms in the house ...covid yr altered things...but my room was perfectly appointed!
Andy is a brilliant host...the cooked breakfast which is included was delicious and the meal the night before too. The large space I stayed in was enormous with a lge modern bathroom (and great views of adj. farmland and cows😊) Go try it for yourself!
K.I had a really nice getaway with my 9 year old cousin. We stayed in a beautifully refurbished, warm and cozy barn outlooking the farm land. Andy was an awesome host, happy to help if you needed it but also gave you your privacy. Lovely guy and place and highly recommend! Only qualm I have is the weather didn't cut it to use the pool this time!
S.Bold coloured rooms, soaring ceilings and old world charm. This lovely getaway on 8 acres was the perfect place to get out of town and yet close enough to grab a meal. The host was friendly and accommodating. Would stay again.
K.Dating back to 1896 this is a Heritage B and B, with high ceilings in fair sized rooms, evoking an atmosphere of yesteryear. They do a good breakfast and can do an evening meal if you want. Has a colonial style and elegance, but if you want modern chic, this isn't for you. We enjoyed our stay and would happily go again.
D.This is just outside of the lovely town of Whangarei, and it is a charming, old restored property. The rooms are spacious, retaining the historic feel, but with modern amenities. We chose to have supper at the lodge one night and found the food to be excellent and the drink list extensive. The hosts are charming and helpful. Highly recommend.

M.My stay here was just lovely. The rooms are clean, quiet, and beautiful. The area is quaint. The owner literally went out of his way to make my experience the best possible. Emails were answered quickly and the service was just remarkable. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again someday myself!
D.We arrived at short notice late in the evening and were made very welcome by Andy. The room and facilities were excellent, the breakfast was top notch, the Lodge is in a beautiful spot and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
