I have been going to the boxfit classes since October last year and it has been very beneficial for my health and fitness. Dougal our instructor has been very supportive he makes sure everyone is working hard and enjoys the sessions. I would highly recommend these boxfit classes to anyone that is wanting hit their health and fitness goals or wanting to learn some basic boxing techniques for self defense.

Absolutely awesome classes!! Trained here for almost 4 years while living in Christchurch, and always, always looked forward to training - even on a Friday evening! I still go back every time I'm down for a visit, and it's like I never left (bar the new faces and gym upgrades).
Awesome bunch of people, great atmosphere. Brilliant, constantly varied and challenging workouts that got me into the best shape of my life. On top of that, Dougal is a top bloke with a wicked sense of humour who has a very unique skill in that he will have you laughing your ass off at the same time as kicking it!! Can't recommend this place enough!

I've been working out with Dougal for a year now and it's truly been a life changing experience. I've found him to be knowledgeable but more importantly he is very genuine and truly cares about seeing you achieve your goals.
I've always been fairly active but never really tried or pushed myself too hard. Dougal's been really good at motivating me to not only push myself during my workouts with him, but even during my own workouts. Trust me when I say I am NOT one to get up and work out a lot, but since I've been working out with him I've worked out at least 4 times a week on average and it hasn't felt like a chore. I've even had days when I've come home from being out with friends and I've gotten on the treadmill for 20min at 10pm just to get that run in.
The consistency of working out over a longer period of time has allowed me to shift my perception of workouts as something you "gotta get in" to something that I actually look forward to. I also really love that he's great at modifying workouts based on how I'm feeling that day or if I have a sore muscle. He is genuine and energetic and always boosts your spirits even when you really really don't want to be working out.

Have been working with Dougal now for almost 12 months, he's a great bloke, very knowledgeable across alot of areas in fitness/boxing. I really enjoy the variety and the mix of people in the classes, the workouts are a total body workout and are always varied which is what I enjoy.

Great Personal Trainer - working with Dougal I have made more progress in my Kickboxing in a few months than I made in a year going to another Gym.
If you are looking for a personal trainer who makes exercise fun than you have found your guy !

The classes always pull in a good crowd of great people, so always fun to do. A fun, lighthearted environment, great for making a few new friends while getting fit. Dougal who takes most of the classes pushes you hard (in a good way!). He has a unique sense of humour which really adds to the class. I get bored of gyms myself but love the classes - definitely noticed a difference in my fitness and physique as a result.

Absolutely love these boxfit classes! As someone who struggles to keep motivated, these classes have kept me coming back for over a year so far! Each class is different so boredom is never an option and the encouragement you receive throughout the class spurs you on to push yourself a little further each week. Incredibly friendly bunch of people and new faces are always welcome! It provides a great combination of increased fitness, stress-relief and many laughs - the perfect combo!
