Our family is an aficionado when it comes to martial arts and this school is exactly what we were looking for our daughter. Not only does the instructor teach philosophy of martial arts, and foster coordination and speed with a holistic but simple approach, but also encourages students to work hard in a fun way. My daughter always looks forward to attending Kung Fu sessions. As for teaching, neither the instructor nor the seniors hesitate when it comes to patiently re-teaching her moves, correcting stances and explaining the meaning behind the moves. When you are between the choices which martial art to pick, keep in mind that Kung Fu does not represent one style of fighting. One the one hand, Shaolin Kung Fu has punches, kicks, joint/wrist locks and lots of hard/soft techniques that are very practical from a self-defence perspective. On the other hand, there are movements that are more akin to acrobatics or dance. And these moves are straight up beautiful to watch.

Before place my son to the Kong Fu school I made I good peace of work comparing different classes available in the area and looking at some of them. What I like in Kong Fu school were responsibility for kids, strong teacher knowledge and quite a lot of knowledgeable people that can replace instructor and make face to face training if required. As well there is quite good mixture of philosophy and practical skills. Seen this people for already a year they start to be like a small family and my son is happily attending all classes

My 13yr old daughter has been learning Kung Fu for two and half years. She just loves it. The other students are great and the instructor is very committed. It is a great community.

Dont procrastinate any longer! Come along and join this fun family friendly Kung Fu school. Scott brings his A game to every class and is always quick with helpful, clear instructions which makes learning fun. Scott welcomes everyone from flexible 5 year olds to grandmothers. Come along and observe a class and you'll see real Kung Fu taught in a respectful way where everyone has a good time while learning a martial art. I cant recommend it highly enough. So dont be like me and wait till you're 50 before you start - come along now!

The Kung Fu school teaches classical chinese kung fu, with a strong emphasis on shaolin style. They are well organised, and operate across the country. The teacher at the Petone branch runs a disciplined class, but is also a kind & supportive teacher, readily willing to share his knowledge with his students. There are classes for students of all ages (including preschoolers) and the teaching style is adjusted to accommodate the age of the student. Highly recommended school.

Very enjoyable and challenging Martial Art school. It is a great mix of fun and focus. Perfect for beginners, or people who have done another Martial Art, as the lessons cater for all levels. Great for fitness and self defence. Fully recommend.

Great instructor! Classes at a good level for all learning needs. Very friendly people. If you need help you can always go to the seniors or instructor and they'll help you!

Its real sick, you learn heaps of moves to defend yourself while having fun doing it, the instructor has great humor and will help you if you ever need. you also get really fit while learning to be safe, ten out of ten would recommend

The Petone instructor came and taught the new starters at the Brooklyn Kung Fu school, explained all the moves really well and was heaps of fun to work with.
