Lovely place to go for a swim with the kids or family. Staff are friendly, photographers on site, great amenities and right smack bang under the mount makes for a beautiful backdrop. Pool temperatures are suited for the seasons.

Had a massage with Fern. Best I've ever had, very relaxing and every minor detail of the experience was taken into consideration. Followed this with a lovely soak. The perfect relaxing holiday spot!

Awesome place to take the kids (of all ages), you could spend the day there easily. Free parking is a huge bonus, the place looks awesome, has sun beds and lots of shaded areas. - feels a little European. We will he back!

5-stars for the massage i had! it was so so soooo good & i've forgetten who did it, but it was so amazing. i had a full body massage, which came with full use of the heated pools all day, so it was great to be able to chill before the massage with the swim, and then to relax with a massage and then straight back into the water for a swim. There was a couple of pools out of use for the afternoon, which should have been told to some of the customers, but other than that, the overall experience was good.

Nice environment but unfortunately the very loud and very tinny music for teenager’s ruined the whole experience. The staff selecting the music need to look at the age of the people in the pools and respond appropriately.

The Mt Hotpools have been recently renovated. It is in a class of its own and a great place to be. The water is seawater heated with thermal water, but it isn't getting mixed. So head underwater is no problem. The massages and treatments are also amazing, for very reasonable money

Always good for a relaxing dip, prices are ok, it can be busy here at times. The facilities are clean. There is a choice of 3 different temperature pools. Water is salt and good for the skin

Lovely clean facilities with pools to facilitate all from Adults, young people, travellers and Families. Love the drinking fountains stationed around so as to avoid dehydration and the tog dryer in changing rooms. Different temp pools ensure everyone is accommodated, and fountain/slide pool is great for the kids! Life guards are friendly and alert : )

Great pools to relax in lovely and warm ! Spa jets are good but too powerful. The slide is fun for children I do remember going there when I was a child as I am now an adult and it is also enjoyable watching and listening to live singers on sunday nights keep it up and them coming . The lifeguards can be helpful at times but also lifeguards don't care much about what togs people wear to the pool. Its anything goes these days. It is over priced but if anyone has a special access disability card then they can get in pool for free

Stunning location. Great pool temperatures. And I enjoyed an amazing deep tissue massage. Such a great way to ease the pain of a long flight to NZ - great massage and a soak in the hot pools will cure any flight missery. Also a great reward after a hike up the Mountain.

Kids loved it here (4 and 2). It is a little expensive but you can certainly spend quite a bit of time exploring all the pools. Would visit again.

You should let people know that they can't get in after 9:30(on your website). I like to go when people are clearing out and I'm a regular there. I got there at 9:31 and was denied entry. I'm always happy to pay full price just to soak for twenty minutes. I'm usually out of there by 9:50 because by then the staff tells you two to three times to get out. (I understand that the changing room closes at 9:45 I never use them.) I go two to three times a week and pay full price. I wouldn't complain of I wasn't a regular there because I love this place.

So good to have the pools up and running again. The renovations are looking good, the temperature of the pool was hit and relaxing. Look forward to the rest of the upgrade being finished. Love this place especially on a Wednesday for the Gold Card seniors day.

These are the best hot pools in the country. Clean, plenty of pools to choose from, they also have lanes you can walk in, and they have a great selection of aqua classes for only $9.00 pp. General pool entry is $18.00 for an adult.

A clean cozy facility with hot pools and swimming pools. It was a relaxing experience altogether. They also had water fountains in strategic places. I love how the restrooms are huge, with soap, hair blowers and swimsuit dryers. They also made sure that lifeguards were present. Recommend this place.

Mount hot pools is a great facility, well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. Great fun during winter and even in summer when the weather doesn't allow to go to the beach. The only downside is the limited parking spaces but one can park in a short distance if the parking lot is full so no biggie. The place can be crowded but that's ok.

Such a great place. Great toddler pool with plenty to entertain - little fountains, big squirts to stand in and a slide. All 3 children, 8, 5 and 3 years and myself didn't get cold or bored with it. Has a deep warm pool, for laps or play with robust 'tubes' or 'bumper boats' as we called them, and a large, shallower hot pool for relaxing in too. And spas for those over 16. Highly recommend!

Pretty nice hot pool. There are multiple public pool available. The water is sea water so it is salty. Water is not as hot as I wanted, but it was okay. Private pool is also available. Private locker is available for 3$.

This place is lovely and has some brilliant hot pools, the staff here are really nice and helpful. The changing rooms could be improved but do there job fine. The store lockers are quite useful but you don't need the locking ones. I lived the polls thou I thought that the warmer one was much nicer.

I’ve only used the private rooms, which are adequate. Sometimes I’ve felt the water isn’t that hot, and the vibe inside is kinda sterile and off putting. Still, we have found it worth the entry price.

Great place to bring the family. Not all of the pools are hot so the kiddies can have fun in a fairly warmish pool. Some hot and very hot options available if you're into those. Plenty of shade as well as water available nearby. You just gotta go!

Popped in here for a quick soak with my daughters while down from Auckland for the weekend. Lovely staff at the desk, lifeguards that were watching and aware and pools and changing rooms were clean and taken care of. I quite liked the tog spinner machine too to get rid of excess water! 😆 Will come back next time we're down.

We got the private hot pools. They are small but suited us as we didn’t want to be outside late in the day. I had a massage afterwards and it was awesome just what I needed. Loved the facial as well with the little freebies that went with it.

It was very pleasantly warm, not too hot. There are a few different pools of varying depths and you can rent out some private pools if you want. It is especially beautiful towards evening, when you can watch the stars dance around the extinct volcano. Good wheelchair access, although getting into the pools themselves would be a bit difficult.

We try to visit the Mount Hot Pools once or twice a month for some exercise in the activity pool before a good soak in the bubbling Spa pool. Every Wednesday from 12 till 2pm Senior Citizens can get in for just $2 per person which is great value! As long as you are in before 2pm you can stay as long as you like.

I went to the Mount Hot Pools on a Saturday night. It was super busy but it was still a lot of fun! I sat in the spa pools which only had adults & had a swim around the bigger pools. Perfect on sore muscles after a long trip! One of the highlights of Tauranga and a great way to relax and enjoy the evening. Salt water pools right near some amazing restaurants hosted by the best staff :) couldn't ask for more!!

A real experience for overseas visitors. These hot pools are an amazing way to relax after hiking up mount Maunganui. Good for all ages, with different depth pools with different tempatures. Good thing to do on a wet rainy winters day as the water is warm enough to keep you warm. Well maintained and clean changing rooms. However, it is do busy that there is not alot of space in the changing rooms and we actually had to wait for a space. There is also limited toilets and showers, which if you are desperate is an issue. The general lack of parking around the Mount end of the beach is an issue. We drove around for ages before we found a park within walking distance. Don't let parking put you off,. Mount hot pools is a great experience

Great pools and facilities are very clean and well maintained. Had a live band playing when we visited and pool toys were around for entertainment and a slide for the kids. Hot spa 2 small and 1 large where perfect. Only a few blemishes with a lack of parking and had heaps of clorine and left my black trunks with a slightly bleached look but i do like how sterile i was afterwards weirdly.

A must for any visitors to New Zealand or family with kids. A great way to spend an hour or 2 any time of the year. Super clean..go early to miss the crowds. Opens at around 8.30am I think and open till late around 9pm ....kids qater slides for under 8 year olds and cool pool for laps or play and super large hot salt water pool around 39 degrees for relaxing . A must on the bucket list in NZ . Very clean. Showers and hair dryers for free. Towel hire and locker hire onsite .

Nice place with a variety of different pools – large medium and small pools to relax and have a hot soak. Kids area as well so they can splash around without annoying the adults ;). Locals get in cheaper and can take guests, so get a local to take you if you can.

Mount Hot Pools never disappoint. Same as 40 years ago just better. Love that hot salty water and how it leaves you feeling. Could go five stars but getting a bit pricey for family groups now. Perhaps we have been spoiled for to many years.

My favourite place for a warm up and relax in winter after an ocean or Pilot bay swim and hike up the mountain. Can get crowded. Off street parking nearly always available. Been going for 50 years.

Overall cool place, but I went there in winter, which means it is cold if you are not inside the water and you can't stay inside for two long, don't really a place where you can relax in the winter - not even the dressing rooms are closed, so there I was freezing as well....so it's nice stay for an hour or so, with a lovely view - but I don't think I'd do it again.

No frills though (e.g. no complimentary soap in the shower, etc.). Though there are lockers you can pay for, there are also free cubbies outside in the main area, not the safest but an ok alternative.

Hot pools are salt water and have recently had a revamp. Nice in the evening but can get a bit crowded and hate that if you're from Te Puke you can't get local rate even though the Mount gets our artisan water piped to it while we drink chlorinated boer hole water!
