I came into Te Rauparaha cafe for a coffee and bite to eat. I love a good coffee and this didn’t disappoint. Perfect temperature, with just the right amount of vanilla. It’s a lovely open, airy cafe with super friendly staff. The cake was delicious too!

Best swimming pool in Wellington region. Family pass costs under $20 and includes slide, sauna, steam room and spa. The Cafe attached is a must try after a nice swim.

The swimming area is great. Enjoyable for the little ones too. I don't love that there isn't a place to put toiletries while showering other than on the floor and I also don't like having to keep pressing a button to make the shower run rather than just a normal tap. But it's clean and tidy and the staff are lovely.

This is a great place, well I mean amazing. The staff are so nice especially to kids, people might say the lifeguards are buzz kills but they are doing an amazing job at keeping everyone safe. It is so clean I used to go there every weekend and have I nice swim in the lane pool, main pool, and spa. There are lots of swimming options for all ages (even people who don’t want to swim) It is a great place to hold birthdays and other celebrations. And, did I mention the fact that the slide is epic. All the rules make sense and should be listened to.

Huge lively facilities. Helpful staff, clean place. Not too busy. Bit pricey but worth it.

Don't like the seating and there is not enough of it. The actual pool itself is a great facility

Good pools nice warm water

Beautifully sprung floors and 4 basketball courts make Te Rauparaha arena one of the nicest places in Wellington to come and play. There's also a swimming pool, and a cafe with some of the best priced food in town. It's also for the best looking ceiling of any sports centre I've ever seen. Lighting is good, and there is plenty of parking

We visited during the week for an expo. There was ample of parking including disabled and the arena itself was light and had plenty of room

Really enjoy the pool. Love that it's a shared play pool area, which is great for preschoolers, who feel more confident because they're sharing the pool, but also don't get it past their depth. The wave maker and River Run are also great fun for learners. Haven't used the lanes, but they look pretty awesome. Also nice cafe on site and good options for having an event there

Great place for recovery in the spa, sauna & steamrooms & get some aqua jogging in. Should have rules on birthday parties to relieve yourself after eating, before going into the pools to do it. Not all parents know better so I've noticed

With the whole lockdown type scenario happening the pool wasn't too full. Made an enjoyable afternoon.

Such an awesome facility to hold our conventions and assemblies! Bathrooms are well maintained, alarmed doors at side of arena are a little frustrating when needing to be opened for fresh air.

It's got a really cool wave pool, show and spas. Entrance to this pool area is complimentary of you are a gym member there. So guess who is getting their membership with them!!! Me!! 😃

Nice spa ans sauna. The pools are big and lots of space. Definitely recommendable for children pool party and just casual swim.

I did go to the aquatic center in Te rauparaha arena but it was to one of there meeting room which is another part of there facility it does have a pool, a gym and courts the that cater for sports and they also have room for spectators on the upper floor so yes drop in and visit the arena with staff that are always willing to point you in the direction if your not sure

I really enjoy it here! Pool, aqua jogging, spa, sauna, slide and wave pool included in the admission price which is very reasonable ($5.80 for an adult). Great pools for the whole family, and also for fitness and relaxation. The only thing I would improve would be more lane swimming space in the evenings since often 3 out of 5 of the lanes are taken up by lessons.

I use the 25M lap pool. Best to avoid doing laps between 5pm -7pm most week nights as swim clubs book out 3 lanes and remaining 2 lanes get very crowded. Best to do lap swimming during the middle of the day. Public pool for kids has a wave generator and there is a tube slide also. Food is allowed in restricted areas around the main pool and there are tables to sit at. Lockers can be hired to secure your belongings. Adult entry is $5.50 I think.

Great venue for large events. The main arena is well appointed with plenty of seating and good acoustics for concerts.

Swimming pool closed. Re open 16 August Monday. Check the opening date for maintenance. Re open 16th August Various swimming pools, for kids and toddlers. Separate lane swim and aqua jogging. Wider land for aqua jogging. Two different styles of saunas and spas. Kid slide. A lady in spa was exploiting her skin in a adult spa. Family changing rooms. Sometimes there are kids birthday parties and family bbq. Good place to go with kids.

Little bit disappointed by the small size of the kids pool and the river ride requires paddling to actually move around. Very small changing area. An impromptu game of rugby league started while we were there. The people involved were reasonably respectful but took up a great chunk of the pool. Waves are decent size for a kids pool. Life guards were excellent as well. Very vigilant, not like a lot of other pools.

Pool facilities are nice and clean but someone put a former drill sergeant in charge of the lifeguards. No fun allowed in an otherwise empty pool because that section was "dedicated for lane swimming". Even with no one else there, teaching your kids to jump and dive is not allowed. Makes no sense and is a major fun stopper. I'd fully support it if we're disturbing other swimmers.

Pretty cool place to swim. The slide is free. Not much room for spectating. The changing rooms are gross and the family changing rooms are too small and gross as well. I liked the idea of the free spa pools near the main pools. But we also noticed the life guards weren't really paying attention. We watched a couple of them chatting hard out for a while. At one stage there were three of them chatting together. There seemed to be a few areas not being watched as well.

Never too busy, lanes are always free for swimming. The hydroslide is awesome and is included in the price. Great for family birthdays or just a casual swim. Includes 3 spa pools, toddler, kids and adults separately. Sauna and steam room also. Good pricing at under $10 for an adult and child. Parking outside and food available.

Great place for swimming so take your kids. Has a wave pool and a slide. Most weekends there are inflatable items up for kids to play on. The rest of the arena has a gymnasium, adult gym and basketball courts which convert into areas for shows.

Pool was hugely popular, loads of families having a great time. Loved all the extras that normally would be an extra cost. Recommend :)

Aquatic center is great ,lots of fun .They have spa's nice after a good swim and a baby pool that's nice and warm. there's a Big water slide too and a wave pool and a lap pool.great for kids and adults alike.

Great facility, always lots on. Have visited recently for an information seminar hosted by the IRD, Kindy Gym, and the Pet Expo, and must go back to take advantage of the pool more often too. Cafe is also good, and has a great area for kids.

Was awesome!!! 4 adults 9 kids = heaps of fun!!! Werr there about 3 hours the kids swam. We supervised and took in our own food. Be great if the had recycling bins on the grounds.

Good atmosphere and good variaty of pools plus slide, sauna , etc. The only downside it can get very busy of not so considerate patrons so if you are going with a little kids arm yourself with patientce and be cool attitude ;) the changing rooms are a bit rough but then as soon as you reach the pools it becomes secondary thought. Worth the visit and then make up your mind will you visit again :)

Very nice pool. In fact, they have 2. Also have a 3 spa's. A steam room. A sauna. Water chute. Gym, and a hall. I might have left something out.

Great atmosphere, great people. Bit humid, but it is a indoor pool. Definitely would reccomend for the kids. Awesome arena for Sports too.

A decent pool with a fun side and very reasonably priced. Changing rooms tend to be a bit cold in winter ( as is the wait for the slide ) ... Only real downer is if there is an event at the arena then the parking can be a complete 'mare

Have now been to this venue twice and very impressed with facilitates. Once was for a netball game and the second was for the national 2019 Ballroom Champs. Clean, tidy and modern.

Such a great facility, offering great fun and fitness at great family friendly prices. Anyone with small kids should check out the fantastic casual kids programmes for a great, engaging morning activity. And the pool is great! Wave pool ftw!

It has grown. Before there was the pool area and next door was the sports arena, now they've combined it all, and now it's so much better, not that it wasn't before. The sports arena is bigger and has a grand stand now. In the next room is another sports arena but smaller, I think it's about half the size of the other, and the pool is there as well so you don't have to go outside. It's soectacular

Can't speak to the aquatic center but the courts need to be resurfaced and cleaned. Lots of dust and peeling laminate. Felt almost unsafe at times. Great venue for an indoor tournament but they need to fix the floor.

Friendly service on the front counter. Excellent pricing for adults and kids. A great facility all round.

Good swimming pool,nice place and stuff .

Went to the Pet expo at Te Rauparaha Arena. It's a nice and reasonably modern venue. There is a swimming pool next door as well as a fitness center. We couldnt hear the music from the fitness center in the arena despite the volume being extremely loud (it was audible from outside the arena)

Very nice place clean and tidy and friendly staff. Also because it was summer holidays kids were free.

Te Rauparaha Arena is an awesome place, I mainly go there to 'the Pools', and various concerts and some school events. Has a lot of parking there and close by. Is wheelchair friendly. And has a gym, a cafe and fresh food and coffee.

They are working hard to keep things clean which for us meant the kids pool got closed just as we got there, totally understand why though and the kids got to swim in the lane pool instead which was something different.

A super facility, but the air temperature is too hot. In summer people will complaint if it is that hot. The water temperature is also above 27°C, making it less suitable for swimming training.

Recreational experience is great. Staff are polite and facilities clean and spacious. Great for families. Sometimes when events are held parking is inadequate especially for regular users.

Venue is just amazing, this place should be the template for all future sports and recreation builds for many years to come!!

Hard to review really. We came to a baby show and it was great. Plenty of space and we won a competition. Oh and the cafe was nice too.

Wave, spar, sonar, slides, deep pools, you can find everything here. It's a bit crowded though, some kids don't behave well enough.
