E.The swimming lessons offered here are fantastic. The instructors are wonderful people and they make it FUN too!
P.During level 2 there is a maximum of 4 people at a time in the hot pools but doesn't seem to be a time limit so there's no show of getting in unless you want to stand and wait for someone to get out. Kids partys are great there. And I like the option to pay for just use of the shower - has been handy from time to time when leaving work and needing a shower without having to go all the way home.
B.Bargain priced swimming,
They are trying to keep safe during covid.
Pools very tired but do the job perfectly. Be good if council got too and upgraded the centre.
Staff are all obliging and dedicated..
R.Its an iconic place but if you're wondering if to go here or a lake then definitely go to a lake no doubt. It definitely could be cleaner

L.We always enjoy our time at Richmond Aquatic, however one visit resulted in someone attempting to take my handbag.
j.Richmond aquatic Centre is fantastic. I attend hydro therapy aqua classes really great. Sometimes too many people in the classes for the size of the hydro pool. Please be careful when walking on any tiles when wet. I slipped a few weeks ago and have really damaged my shoulder.
M.Really good facilicity, good staff,toilets lovely and clean,reasonably priced for a swim too.

L.Great pool, great prices, good food available, kids love it!, warm in winter.. even the changing rooms can feel a bit like sauner there's that much heat being pumped in.
Be good if they have more things like slides, or other activities to do.

A.I just went to this pool to use the shower. It costs $4.50 for an adult where every other public pool shower in NZ (that I’ve used) costs $3. Unfortunately it also wasn’t a great one. The water only stayed on for about 20 seconds before you had to press the button again. The water sprays out from the side of the wall at an annoying angle. But still it’s a shower that does the job and there’s a curtain for privacy.
B.Kids and I love going. Looking forward to the next time. Rave waves are great for the whole family
M.A very popular heated swimming pool with a 25m length pool for for the serious swimmers, and a wave pool, and lazy river for the adolescents, and spa pool for the ones needing a good soak. Add in the kids and family pools, and it can get quite busy at times. Weekly pool party events for the kids with themed nights once a month.
Being a heated and treated pool, you'll likely want to take (or buy onsite) some goggles, or your eyes are going to struggle.

A.Awesome set up and a great thing for the public, but way too hot in there. They need something like a retractable roof to let out some heat and chlorine fumes. Other than that it was an enjoyable visit.
J.Friendly receptionist, was very helpful. At 8PM I was the only swimmer in the main pool. Fantastic. Lanes are nice and wide. The water was a pleasant temperature.

K.Great facilities for both adults and kids. Several pools, all indoors, including a wave pool with a shallow end, a "lazy river to float dow , spa pools, changing rooms and a lovely cafe. Staff are helpful and lifeguards are on duty constantly. The pools are warm and very clean. Some swim gear is available for purchase.
F.Standard facilities which is good for the community. They do try to accommodate were possible. I do agree that the hygiene standards of the facilities are not high enough given that indoor pools are a breeding ground for the worst of bacteria and fungi.
Swim school is ok. My daughter was, however, quite bored when she was streamed according to age rather than ability. In fact, progress was very little this year compared with Auckland last year. The effort of getting there was not really worth the time spent.
C.My son loves it here. Can get very busy and some days the chlorine and heat can get a bit much but you can pop outside for a break. Cafe is good for a coffee and hot chips. Very good place for kids birthday parties.
S.Well laid out aqua park with a Cafe for the adults and plenty of lifeguard supervision, but was informed by my kids there wasn't enough water toys to play with

V.The wave pool was the main attraction for the kid's. Changing room's were clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They run a great swim school program for children with special needs, it has helped my son build confidence in the water and has taught him some basic survival techniques.

R.What an excellent Aquatic Centre this is. The wave pool is the best I have ever seen and my Grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed themselves, spent 4 hours here and loved every minute. Brilliant place to bring kids to enjoy themselves

M.Maybe they are made of hardier stock down south, but we found the main pool really cold at first. The kids loved the wave machine whilst mum enjoyed the warm spa pools. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I.Main pool is CLOSED for a very long time for maintenance but they still charge an arm and a leg to get in. The water is the coldest of any south island leisure pools ( been to them all with my kids) , its dark and a bit gloomy and it's expensive. The area is in dire need of another pool.
C.My daughter does swim magic, she has progressed so fast with swimming, great instructors.
M.Not sure why it's called hot pools the spa was lukewarm, walking lane was cold, for the entrance price over $7 or csc/ gold card $5.10, showers were push button, cafe on site, staff friendly. Finding it wasn't easy the GPS sent me to the back of the building not the front which is on another street.
J.Great place to wear my toddler out. A big downer is I paid A lot of money for swimming lessons but wasn't happy with the teacher as my toddler was having trouble kicking and she expected him to do it know problem I won't go back for swimming lessons.
F.wave pool didn't go over 2 feet I was looking for a solid left side wedge around 10-15 feet to run a sesh on with the boys. Nice hotub tho
S.Great place for all ages, Lane swimming, kids wave pool, spa pools, mum, dad with bubs and toddlers pool, children's learning pool, plus three is a gym too. All heated😊
J.Cleaning routine in the changing areas needs a serious restructure. Everytime I have taken my kids the amount urine on the floor is excessive. I would suggest more frequent hose-downs, especially in the family changing rooms.
B.Great facility and awesome fun for the whole family. The wave pool, lazy river and kids pools are so neat. Clean, tidy, safe and friendly staff. Loved the family changing rooms.

L.Love these pools just needs some windows or better ventilation. The chlorine in the air is worse then being in the water.
E.My kids love coming here but my son almost drowned a couple of years ago. I was yelling & screaming at the life guards to get him! It wasn't until I decided to jump in myself that a life guard moved her butt. I think the life guards are pathetic & young, the people that watched were just as horrified as us. A parent at the same school as my son came to comfort me days after the incident & almost burst into tears. I don't wish this anybody! We still come here because the children really do enjoy it. Just be careful & watch your children!
P.Bad organisation for disabled people. Ridiculous wheel chair and entry tk pool over the other side of pool area. Pushing someone so far with this mini chair was difficult. Put the disabled changing room near to the pool. In the quiet room space perhaps?
i.Awesome teachers and well planned effective lessons, really well organised ,encouraging and great communication with the kids. Also we were lucky enough to get our 12 year old daughter into the wet and wild holiday programme, the supervisors were great again with communication, encouragement and organisation but also what a fantastic course the kids were put into groups, where there were lots of team building exercises (great for our very timid daughter who came out of her shell, and has been a much sunnier girl at home whilst doing the course), she said she really enjoyed hanging with her peers; the aqua run,and the aqua boarding to name a few;there has also been a ton of water saftey teaching which was taught in really fun ways as well as a lot of new activities and experiences which all and all has helped with out daughters confidence. We are extremly greatful for this wonderful opportunity and would like to thank the very approchable, encouraging and supportive suppervisors and other staff for the out standing job they have done.Thank you so very much.

D.Wee swimming pool with great waves, the lazy river is rather claustrophobic but service was good and the place was clean. No showers in the family rooms so plan ahead.
