At the beginning of 2019 I weighed in at an unhealthy 110 kgs and very much out of shape. I decided after 30 years off the bike to pick up the sport I loved so much but this time with no pressure or having unrealistic expectations. I started with small goals working my way up and increasing my fitness. My brother Steve Newlove mentioned Velofit one day and that I might interested in giving it a go. I started out once every two weeks then increased it to once a week. I had now set myself a goal of competing in the 50 km event of the Whaka 100. It wasn't easy nor should it be but I have no hesitation in my mind that the Wattbike training at Velofit was the game changer for me. With limited time it was all about quality not quantity. Now at 87 kgs I would suggest that anyone thinking about wanting to get fit and enjoying yourself doing it, get in touch with David, he'll help guide you with his expertise and knowledge. Contacted David at Velofit for a personal watt bike training programme after surgery for Ankle fusion.
David provided a detailed assessment and provided a 1-1 programme for the following 4 weeks.
The programme was intense with incremental gains daily, recorded in real time so I could monitor my progress.
The results were remarkable seeing you power output increase linearly while your heart rate dropping is awesome.
I can't thank Velofit enough for their patience and expertise,a truly professional service that is second to none.
All done with a smile in a warm friendly environment that is set up and tailored to you individual needs.

Dave's online training programme was exactly what I wanted! I'm on the 6 week body blast online training & I'm seeing solid results after 3 weeks! I get reminders straight to my inbox every time a session is due, keeps me motivated & the videos show me exactly how to perform each exercise. Love this place. Dave is definitely a professional with a love for what he does and it shows when he takes you through a session. The knowledge he shares is awesome and really helpful when translating the indoor training to the road. Thanks for the help Dave. I definitely look forward to our sessions.

I found the sessions that I took at velofit invaluable in helping me with my training for the pioneer mtb race. Dave's knowledge and drive to see us succeed was also a motivating factor in helping me achieve my goals this year. Will definitely be there again next winter

David’s Wattbike studio is really the way to go - with the high risk of being hit by a car, truck, bus, inhaling caustic poisonous fumes, cycling on our roads is becoming downright dangerous. David gives you individual attention and his infectious personality is entertaining and something else!
