Great for fit energetic people, good value. A bit in need of a make over, sitting area for people watching a bit messy. Could do with a tidy up and more seating

Great gym near town. It's small, but has a variation of top rope and lead routes, a bouldering cave, and some fun auto-belay setups that are great for training.

Went to the Clip ‘n’ Climb a couple of days after Christmas. It does not have a massive selection of Climbs but totally enough for a small group of children. We took 6 children of various ages and there were climbs suitable for 4-14 year olds. Had a good time watching the children climb. Staff were helpful, but not intrusive. We were mostly left to enjoy ourselves. They hung near enough by for safety and helping where needed There is a playground outside, good for any younger children.

Limited space, but they do well with what they've got. Friendly atmosphere. Would love to see more bouldering, but it's a small place. Price soon racks up if you've not got your own gear.

Awesome climbing gym, top rope routes are fun and varied in style and difficulty. The staff here are absolutly the best, always friendly and happy to help. They also offer outdoor guided adventures which are top notch.

Best thing to do in Wanaka. Try clipnclimb you're a newbie. It's great it jump off the height and it would be great fun!

Friendly staff, and fun climbing gym. There are self belayers on a very easy wall for kids, and adults. There is also a good climbing wall with enough routes to keep the beginner to advanced climbers happy (we climb from about 5.6 to 5.10, but there is harder stuff too). They do not require a belay class, they just ask to make sure you know what you are doing, and watch a little at first to be sure you are safe. This is a chill atmosphere, and in the same building with a small theater and pub! We didn't this time, but if we were here longer, we probably would have had a climbing and movie day. Also, their logo is awesome. I don't buy many shirts showing business names, but this was was too cool to pass up.

Good holiday entertainment a little small for a obviously busy area. Kids under 14 not allowed on the "adult" area. Handy to know if you have experienced younger climbers.

Good was great. We had a flyer for free chips or pizza that we got up the mountain on our car window. Awesome! The waitresses was a little bit off the ball. she didn't offer us water or bring us plates to go with our pizza and chips. The colouring pack was great for our son.

Took a trad climbing class with me and the wife. Had an amazing time, learning and having fun. Even went back days later and asked Loz a few questions which he helped me with. Definitely a place to go for learning and climbing fun with experienced and nice people!

Went here for a competition. Had a great day, the routes were well set and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The walls are fantastic and give a variety of styles of route to try, from chimneys to face climbs, aretes and overhangs. I'll definitely be back for more!

Super nice British guy gave us the instruction. It was a sunny day outside so we had the whole gym for ourself, beside on guy bouldering in the separate room. Not so many routes to do there but basically through all levels. Way too many savety precautions. It made it more complicated to stay in your routine, which made me feel even more unsecure. But that's what you gotta do, in a touristic area like wanaka. But see for yourself! Thx for the nice support, Ben! Greetings, the german speaking group

Basecamp is an incredible indoor venue for all levels of climbing interest and passion .as well as a great outdoor climb guiding / teaching service . The staff were helpful and courteous , along with a practical and appropriate approach to suggesting gear when interested in new equipment . ( it was more important to staff to equip me as a climber then it would be to sell me something above or below my interest ) I partook in a private climb guiding service and the amount of skill, technique and approach I gained from it exceeded all of my expectations . Big kudos to Loz for his teaching skills and leadership, you're a solid asset to basecamp, the sport of climbing is lucky to have you engaged in it . Highly recommend basecamp for all .
