This burger restaurant is attached to the Empire Tavern, where I regularly attend the weekly Tuesday Quiz Night. My favourite option (when considering price and taste) is to come here and get a burger and fries. The food is really good and prices cheap for what you get. The workers are always friendly, despite the fact that they're often rushed when I go (because there are lots of other people who like the burgers as much as I do).

To me one of the best burger places here in Auckland. It’s small but the food is great! They have a tendency to be really busy which causes long wait times. Recommend the chicken tenders! (Quite hidden on the menu) it’s my favourite dish!

The burger was delicious and the fries were cooked perfectly. I got the special that includes a premium burger, fries, and a beer for $21. I got the smokehouse burger which has onion rings and jalepenos. The beer I chose was Chomp, a New Zealand Pale Ale. I highly recommend this place.

Had to escape the rain and Black Dog was right across the street and on my to-try list. As far as my personal Best Burgers in AKL list goes, tbh this one isn't ranking that high, but still beats places like Better Burger. More than once I was getting nothing but bun in my bite, but at least it tasted okay. Surprisingly limited burger options than what I expected for some reason. Most aren't beef burgers but other sammies like pulled pork BBQ or chicken. The place is really clean though and the one big thing going for them is a $15 combo of ANY* burger + a beer + fries. Def hard to beat that w the beer addition. Sadly only 2 beer taps though from the Black Dog Brew Co so don't expect too much variation.

Burgers are not bad not amazing either. Fries were very tasty and nailed that nice spot where they're crunchy but still soft inside. Prices are good only bad thing is the place is very noisy because of the big bar next door and the waiting was very long

Great value and very tasty food, especially the spicy chicken. Friendly and helpful staff. Popular venue so there van be a wait on for orders at peak times. Nice beers too to wash down the food.

This was amazing. You get two very delicious burgers with some fries and a soft drink for 25$. That was the best and in the end the cheapest meal we had while we stayed in Auckland. And it felt like a hidden secret!

The best Chicken Burger that I have ever tried. The spicy chicken burger is really worth every single penny. Also, they can grill it if you don't want fried.

Love the burger. Reasonably priced and the meats cooked right in front of you on the grill. You can also ask them how rare you prefer the patty. Definitely a good burger joint.
