As someone who seeks out every interesting-sounding burger joint in Auckland, I can't honestly give this more than a 3.5 because the buns are so dense and dry that each of us ended up eating the fillings out of them and leaving about half a bun. As for the burger patties themselves, they have a homemade burger taste which means that it's okay, but the point of going out is to get something you can't make at home so they fall a little flat in excitement and taste (bit dry as well). The spicy chicken "Winner Winner" was more interesting and juicy, but very messy (no fault, just is). Got more enjoyment out of their twist on cheesy tater tots and the onion rings. Poutine was so-so but not bad; lots of cheese which was good. Overall, it's not as bad as people say, but not amazing either so it sits middle of the road.

I love trying new burger joints and decided to checkout this place. The look and feel of this place is very nice and somewhat rustic old school. I noticed they adopted the RFID buzzer system. Very smart and helps with shortage of manpower or extra expenses. I ordered the "That's Burger" and a chocolate milkshake. The milkshake arrived first and it was really amazing. It was thick and yummy. I think they used Hershey's chocolate... Anyways, I finally got my burger and it looked really good and 😋. Unfortunately, my anticipation of an amazing burger just faded away. I'll try not to be too critical as I used to have a restaurant in the past. The burger was very well presented. All the ingredients were placed or stacked very well. Before taking my first bite, I realised I was missing some ketchup. Went over to all for ketchup and she gave me some inside a tiny sauce/condiment bowl or what have you. Now, anyone knows you'll need some kind of sauce with your burger. You gotta have a squeezy bottle. There's really no alternative to this. You can't even imagine how you're gonna get to the ketchup with a condiment bowl. It's just not feasible. Moving forward, took a bite and the buns were too hard or dense for my liking. Yes it was very difficult to open your mouth as wide as an anaconda which eventually left me struggling. My burger then started falling apart and so begins the destruction of my burger. I felt there should have been a tissue dispenser on the table to help assists with the mess but? I have to say that the burger didn't have much flavor and everything else tasted as it should like the tomatoes, pickles and lettuce. Put together, it tasted like nothing out of the ordinary. The description of their burgers and how it was made doesn't quite match my expectations. Kiwi owned and operated means? Home made? Corner Burger used to always be a highlight of our trips up to Auckland, but it seems to have become more generic and mainstream over the years. Portion sizes are generous (especially the fries for how cheap they are!), but prices of other sides and more gourmet burgers are quite steep and made us hesitant to risk trying them. Be aware that they charge 10% surcharge on public holidays too. Service was fast, facility was clean, location is convenient, but when the best part of a burger joint isn’t the burger, it makes one hesitant to return.

Lovely place for burgers. We had Saturday deal which was great: a single burger, a small fries and a beer or wine for 25 dollars. The burgers are nice and of large portion. The fries are crunchy and addictive😋 Fast service and convenient location.

Good burgers with great chips! Really meaty and thick burger paties and defiantly not oily. Quite a few beverage choices both alcoholic and non alcoholic depending on your taste. Chicken burgers were a bit average and everything could be a little less cooked and juicy.

I used to love visiting Corner Burger when they were based in Mt Eden and was surprised to see them in New Market mall. I was excited to be able to have Corner Burger again but almost immediately got off to a poor start with the staff coming off as fairly rude and then finding the burger not good but not bad which is never good when you can pay half the price elsewhere and get a really good burger. Customer service goes a long way and my partner basically decided to not bother ordering everything they wanted due to the staffs attitude with my experience not being much better.

The menu is decently sized with many options of meat as well as a couple of vegetarian burgers. Another thing that got my interests were the shakes, plenty of flavours and many quite interesting. You could also make them hard if you wanted. You order at the counter and when the beeper goes off you head back to grab your food. I quite like their burgers. It is decently sized and quite tasty. I wasn't a fan of their sodas, I found they tasted quite diluted. The milkshakes were quite nice but when we went with a few people, all of which ordered a milkshake, it did take a while to arrive since they were all hand scooped. The main area is fairly big but can be crowded. There are tables outside, both at the walkway by the entrance and an outer dining area to the side. There is also a door which leads to a balcony dining area too. They have their own toilets located between the indoor and outdoor areas.

Had dinner here on a Wednesday. It was pretty busy but we got our food in less than 20min. You order food and drinks at the counter and get your drinks and a buzzer. Once the buzzer goes you go back for your meal. Plenty of seating inside and out. It was all so good! We had 2 That burgers (he had double and I had single) and it was so filling and delicious. I loved the brocoli & the gravy on the poutine was divine. The sauce that the chicken comes with tastes like Big Mac sauce. It is on the pricier side but the flavours are good. Service was great too.

The food is not bad, waiting time takes a little bit long even when they don't have many customers. I ordered fries with cheese and gravy, gravy ended up making all the fries too soggy and it was a bit overpowering in saltiness and there was a decent amount of cheese but only on the top.

Corner Burger is excellent. Had the Winner Winner and Putine. Putine is cheese rather than curds, but is amaaaaazing. Loads of cheese and gravy. Chicken burger was outstanding, very fresh chicken breast, delicious slaw with apple and a kinda Korean ketchup type sauce. Best thing, not a played out brioche bun in sight, a god send. Can't wait to try more of the menu.

Excellent customer service and a very friendly environment. Cosy place to sit and enjoy your meal. We ordered the standard beef burger and the chicken with the chips. Chips are cut the way your mum used to. Minus one star because the added egg was a little too runny and it popped before I got my burger. In fact it was so runny that the bottom bun got egg yolk soak. Would I come back there? Probably.

We ordered 2 burger and poutine fries. The wait time was about 15-20 minutes. I wouldn't say the burgers were cold, barely warm might be accurate. Not what you'd expect given the price. The cook offered to heat up one and replace it if it was still too cold. The highlight was definitely the poutine fries, which were hot and tasty. Overall it was an average experience. We wouldn't return given the abundance of better alternatives nearby.

Burgers were nice, proper meals, good meat and chips were nice. However the housemade sodas were not worth the money unless you like fizzy water. I guess you could say it is a healthy alternative but for me, choosing a soda means you are choosing to be a little unhealthy and treating yourself. That was NOT a treat. Would go back, just won't get a sode next time.

The Burgers are amazing. The Fries are too, although, its got a great twist. I think they fry all their fries in the same oil. It gave a hint of kumara to add on to the flavor. I reccomend the small fries instead of the large. The beef, the bacon, the cheese and onion rings were truly too quality.

Also, there is wine for NZD$5.00 during the happy hour and small fries for NZD$1.00, that's a win. Some cocktails get cheaper during the happy hour too, costing NZD$10.00 instead of NZD$13.00.

Wife and I had the chicken burger, we were not impressed at all and thought it was below average, we will not be having that burger from them again (if there's a next time). Kids had a beef burger with gluten-free bun, they ate without any complaints or hesitation. Chips tasted good. Waitress started cleaning half the table before we were even finished our meal, felt that it was quite rude, as the establishment was barely at half its capacity and was unnecessary.

Had the 'crispy' chicken burger for lunch, with the fries and shake combo. The chicken was anything but crispy, and left a confused texture in my mouth that didn't mesh well with the bun. The flavours of the burger were underwhelming and didn't make any sort of statement. The fries were pretty good, and the choc shake was ok, if not a little thin for my liking, I understand the straws they are using are probably good for the environment, but that soggy cardboard straw feeling in your mouth is not the most pleasant experience, there are better environmentally friendly straws out there. The front of house person was really friendly though, and was happy to take my feedback. I might give the beef burger a try in a few months, but I won't be rushing back for a burger anytime soon.

Busy Friday evening - all tables were full but we perched at the end of a table with another couple. Great burger joint. Home made type of meat patty, char-grilled. Even the basic burger is large, but there are several add-ons if you want them. The combo came with beautifully seasoned chunky fries & a drink. We had beef in our burgers but you have a choice of chicken, lamb or vegge burgers too. You can get alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks - we opted for a thick shake. Will definitely go to Corner Burger again!

Visited with a group of friends after a failed dinner to another of Westfield's new openings (having paid $$ for a lacklustre meal we were still hungry and all fancied a good burger!) So we hopped over to Corner Burger and finally got to have the great meal and fun time together that we had been hoping for! Great variety on the menu, the server on the till was great, up for a laugh and happy for us to customise our order, which actually meant we spent more money - so great upselling by him in a friendly way! Our food and drinks were ready quickly, all very tasty, good sized portions for the price and we all left with stomachs satisfied! Will definitely be back.

Had the lamb burger in here the other day and really enjoyed it, the tzatziki sauce was a nice touch. Considering it's the same price as the chicken burger I thought it was a great value . As the staff told me it was NZ lamb 😁 , when I was there the place was clean and staff were friendly.

Just went here for lunch. Burgers were awesome. Had the Winner Winner chicken burger, the fried chicken was delicious. The wife had the Spicy Burger and said it was good but the chicken was better. Even the kids burgers are huge so was well worth the price.
