Their got chips portions are enormous and really great tasting. The fish batter wasn't very good as it was slightly undercooked and drenched in oil, like the oil was not hot enough. Both my daughter and I couldn't finish the fish as it made us feel unwell. The chips were really good though and made for great leftovers!

I get burgers from them at least twice a week their really good, the bottom bun Getz a bit soggy but you just flip it up the other way and it's all guds, they pack the fillings 9/10

Food is fantastic. Never had food that was not cooked well and been a customer for many many years. Staff are friendly and helpful store could do with a new look but considering the popularity why would they want to. Price for the hot chips seems to be higher than from other local fish and chip stores but from them you know they will be perfectly cooked and crunchy.

Have lived local 14yrs & purchase from NX Takeaways approx once a week! Favourites - crumbed schnapper/terakihi or hoki, fries, sausages, Chinese Smorgasboard, chicken fried rice, Hawaiian burger, hot dog on stick. Super fast service. Ph ahead or order online - highly recommended 5 stars! Best fries!

This place has it's ups and downs tonight was a down and a few times before. Consistency is a must for your regulars. The sweet and sour pork was sooooooo dry we could not eat it $16 gone down the drain!

Good taste, but prices are basically double what you get... Order $5 chips you will only get $2 chips. Its ridiculous the prices... Smorgasbord is delish but again prices for the tubs are crazy... Go to northcote can get same size tub for $10.90 insteadof $14.90. Foods good tasting but prices are expensive for amount.
