We had a terrible experience with the previous owners and really hesitated about going back. Well I'm very pleased we did finally.. huge pieces of cod which were in a beautiful crunchy batter, chips were delicious and the service was warm and welcoming. We'll be back!

I popped in just to have a little bite since this place was recommended to me. They had four types of fish available on that day, I got the butterfish with fries. The fish was beautifully crumbed and the texture was just perfect. The fries were piping hot but I just couldn't resist stuffing my mouth. Overall, I will definitely be coming back for more.

I went there 2 days ago, and it was my very first time having fish n chips in Blenheim, and I'm glad I chose this place. I ordered battered fish n chips with garlic butter. both were AWESOME! staffs were friendly and helpful. I also had tartare sauce, and I guess it does blend well with the fish and also the seafood.

Bought fish, battered sausages, kumara chips and chips for our dinner tonight. Had guests for tea. Couldn't fault any of it, kumara chips were best I've ever had, huge bits of fish cooked perfect. Thank you everyone enjoyed them.

Ordered 2 Fish and half a scoop of chips. Well done. Good sized fish. would've liked them cooked a bit more.Half scoop of chips was pretty small.about 20 chips.for $2.60.

one of the best fish and chips lvd had in long time. the fish is always fresh and juicy inside. choice of fries as well. i was a tourist in Blenheim but I would definitely come back if I would stay for longer.

I had high expectations given other reviews but unfortunately found it overpriced and not that good. Spent $48 for five fish and 1.5 scoops garlic butter chips. Fish was mostly the $8.50 butterfish. It was nice but thin fillet and too much batter. Chips very average. Overall a bit disappointing. Perhaps just get the cheaper Hoki which was still expensive at $4.50.

Nice place smelly fishy

If you want quality fish and chips, this is the top choice. So fresh and large portions. I highly recommend the kumara chips and butterfish!! Also the bluecod was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented and quite reasonably priced too.

I’m a big fan of their various chips!! I could have a scoop of curly fries to myself! And their fish is also amazing and their batter is probably my favorite.

It has always been considered a crisp outside, and the juicy fresh inside fish is the key to fried fish. There are also delicate French fries, and the warm smile at the front desk, witherlea takeaway meets all my needs here. All I need is to walk in to order, then take my food home to open a bottle of beer.PS: Thank you for your delicious Wontons and fried chicken wings. Ka pai.

Blue cod taste very fresh and crispy. Chips are cooked very well. Good service. Love it.

This was just around the corner from my house and I was a regular customer here. Quick and easy and the quality of the food is great. Strongly recommend the battered butterfish!!!

I love how they always have a vegetarian option for people like me and their GF batter is the best I have ever had. The curly fries and the yum burgers are my fav.
