Overall this place ain't bad. But I have had a few too many inconsistent meals to warrant going again. Most of the time.the fish was nice, and not too oily. But then sometimes it's just meh. Most of the time the time the chips are crispy and we'll seasoned. But then sometimes they are bland and soft.

Fantastic quality fish and chips. Would easily top 99% of fish and chip stores in wellington region, Chips are beautifully crunchy with perfect seasonings, fish is fresh and flaky. Burgers are soft and cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place to anyone in the wellington region!

Awesome food. We have tried their fish and chips, and best in Wellington according to me. As a total surprise, we tried their steak burger, and it was out of this world! A must have! Dont let the name fool you... the have great fish, but their meat dishes are just as good!

Its been a few years since So Fine won a national award for their fish n chips but they still seem to be as consistent as ever. We rarely get anything fancy but the fish is great and clean tasting and the choice between straight or crinkle cut chips is appreciated. The price is a bit higher then most others but it's good to have a place that takes quality seriously.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Crispy, golden chips and tender fish. No greasy aftertaste. Highly recommend.

Clean. Good F&C. It must be hard to stop grease from getting everywhere in a chip shop, because they always smell, look, or feel greasy, not here. Tidy staff, dedicated person for handling money, and staff are all tidy. Didn't study the menu for price comparison, but got a vague feeling the scoops might have been small for the price paid, but crinkle cuts were very nice so no complaints.

Good basic takeaway. Certainly generous serves and friendly people. There are tables for eating in but it felt pretty rudimentary so probably wouldn't bother. Food generally well cooked except the squid rings were s bit tough. On the whole good local takeaway.
