K. M.Really enjoyed my stay here for a quick little get away. Pools were lovely, clean and warm plus they are open late which is a bonus. Slides were a real out there experience. Yes facilities are dated (seems 1980s) but everything works, plenty of toilets and showers which are clean, plus campsites are spacious. Easy check in and late check out when they are not busy. Was an awesome experience. Totally recommend.

S. B.I took my family today and it brang back so many memories from when I was a little girl. Pricing was good, although slide passes should be free as the slides are not open long enough. There are no hot showers either, only cold ones so if you are travelling from far its not really ideal.

H.Absolutely beautiful place to visit. 1x large heated pool,1x medium-sized hot pool, 2x epic slides, 1x medium-sized pool for rubber tire floating, games room and animal/bird sanctuary, decent sized changing rooms, empty pool for skateboarding (potentially), BQQ area, and some. In a somewhat valley surrounded by forested hills, horse, sheep, scenery, and the hotel/pub is on an adjacent hill.
A need-to for anyone and a great place for families and people that just want a relaxing, peaceful day. It is affordable and well priced. I highly recommend you give this place a go. It's in need of a bit of revitalizing but the more people that visit the better it will be for the future — rustic and beautiful. Truly a gem.
T. A.We have not been back out for quite a long time due to reviews I had read. We went back yesterday and had a wicked time! We also went up to the pub and had amazing burgers. Pools were clean and staff are really friendly:)
K. G.Place was nice and clean and water was nice and clean.. but it is very very pricey... no toddler pool open or full so they didn't enjoy being held the whole time.. also no slides open... and swimming nappies were super expensive I would advice bringing your own.

C. L.I love this place. The two women at reception were exceptionally accommodating, friendly and fun-loving :-) . The pools have a relaxed feeling that reminds me of how NZ used to be, you know - friendly , fun, down to earth, going out of their way to make people's visit enjoyable, to make them feel a part of the community, like family - not just a source of income. I am so happy to have found this place ❤️
N. J.It's a great place for the kids to do bombs, have space to swim without feeling overcrowded. It's a shame that no money is being invested to do the place up as it has so much potential. I use to go as a kid that was 26 years ago and it's looking so tired.
B. M.BRING BACK THE LOG!!! Lovely little spot for a family swim. Water slides are great- very fast! Plenty of picnic tables for the family to settle at. The place is a little dated, could do with some modernizing! However is very clean, tidy & presentable. Lots of parking, easy to locate from the main road. Worth the drive. Take your own food & drink.
E. F.Staff wee absolutely amazing and went over and above for our sons 12th birthday party with his friends, we travelled down from Auckland, the owner gave him free entry and heaps of goodies from the store which was completely unexpected.
One of the lifeguards was teaching the boys how to Manu properly.
Yes it is a bit run down but we had a fabulous day and they definitely made the drive from Auckland worthwhile. We will be back!
T. C.The cabins were good could fit 6- 8 people self- contained, microwave a kitchen area, table not far from pool area. There is a camp ground above th cabin area and heaps of parking, access to laundry room (extra cost) also communal lounge & showers etc. The park is a little run-down but only easy renos like paint and re- decorate stuff, its not too expensive slides @ extra cost but are only open certain times during th day. Pools are nice and warm, slides are cool 👌, We enjoyed our time there. P.S NO cell phone reception and NO gas station for few quite a few kilometres.
R. M.I love going here. The hot pool is nice and warm and the swimming pool is also heated but pleasant to swim in. There are lots of families whenever I go so it's a friendly atmosphere. Yes, it's old and could use some updates but it's not like it's dangerous, just old. I'd be happy to go here every time I want to go to hot pools.

Haven't been here since I was a kid (20+ yrs ago) same too for my partner..and now that we have kids ourselves we thought we'd pack up the car and make a day of it, and we are so glad we did. Brought back a lot of happy childhood memories for myself aswell as my partner. Chilling in the pool, reminiscing and sharing our stories with our kids...we absolutely loved every bit of it!!!...staff were lovely, lifeguards were on and the locals were nice & friendly. So glad we made the decision to come back here after all these years and we cannot wait to visit again REAL SOON!!!....other than that, if I could address any minor issues/problems, it'll be that the place is a little rundown and could do with a tidy up/touch up here and there, more chlorine please 👀😆, perhaps a better audio system that way we can actually hear the music and not the static buffering 😂😁. Last but not least....R.I.P the legendary gladiator log lol, you will be missed. Till next time Waingaro Springs 👋✌😍😃
J. S.Lovely big pools, one hotter than the other but like swimming pools. Only the steps to sit on. The one thing was no hot shower afterwards, only cold, so skipped it.

S. F.Love Hot Pools ? Then consider a visit to Waingaro Hot Springs, and next door, have a beer or dinner in the Waingaro Hotel. Meanwhile we often visit the hot pools here after hiking nearby at the Hakarimata Walkway, near Huntly..which if you're interested, has an old and big Kauri Tree nearby that is almost 1800 years old..and a locals secret. So a good soak afterwards in the hot pools nearby at Waingaro is a group favorite..A hive of activity always features here, which has locals and visitors from Auckland and Hamilton visiting often..At less than $15 entry for Adults , and extra for the popular zoom slides ..this is a fantastic day trip away from Auckland. Big main pool, and another one hottest..is why we visit. They also have accommodations and motorhome facilities. The Hotel on the Hill run by a friendly publican, boasts big meals, and with a restaurant, it looks down over the Hot Pools area next door. Out in the countryside Waingaro Hot Springs are a delightful place to connect with the locals too..and the large carpark always has a feel good factor going on with many people getting hugs and friendly banter conversations are swapped between the locals.. Are true kiwi piece of paradise ...these hot pools are best enjoyed at night if you're a couple..or during the day if you're a family..
D.OMG wat can you say about this place.. Actually nothing positive.. So expensive.. Entry.. Bbq hirage.. Swim.. Facilities like back in the 60s..the only thing good was hirdraslide...

I. J. L.This place is qyuite a drive away uf your not local to the huntly area. Nearly got ripped of when i arrived there having been over charge by nearly 30 dollars, luckily i saw the price walking out and questioned them. Only has 1 main pool, a kiddie pool, a spa and 2 smaller pools for the end of the hydroslides. Was an ok place no curtains in the showers with the only 2 showers face directly at each other with no privacy at all. Abit to work on but ok if you want to get away i guess.

A.Awesome first experience and have recommended to others to go for a whole day as my kids wanted to stay longer. There's a cute little park and a chicken cage that I couldn't drag my kids away from. The friendly staff let me know of the takeaways that's available up at the waingaro pub when I was buying snacks for my kids, ill definitely be returning soon and for the whole day this time

J. S.Time has stoped at this place in the previous era, but that does not take away any joy of these super realaxing hot springs. Do not have any experience with accomodation here, the hot pools only. Those super long slides look like great fun for the children. Bring your own lunch or dinner and relax with family or friends.
A. K.We stayed at Camp ground next door. Very expensive for what we offered as very run down. Probably good for young really young family wanting a swimming weekend get away in the natural spring water. Friendly staff. One guy was running the camp by himself. This led to a lot of confusion and a few bewildered unhappy customers.
On the other hand really appreciated the hotel and what was on offer.
L. P.This place has had a little facelift with a paint job and general tidy up. It is still very old fashioned and a little run down. The facilities are simple. However, they have great family hotpools. We love going there on a late evening and there are very few people there!
H.Still quite run down after re-opening but the water is lovely and its worth going since it's the only hotpools in this part of the Waikato.
c.Pretty awesome but safety is slightly lacking. Just be careful walking around the pool area with your children, some areas are slippery and the mats at entrances of pools are not secure and can leave slippery surfaces open and dangerous.

M. K.Good thing is that it is near Hamilton centre. Only regular hot pools, nothing fancy or nature like ones. Strangely, showers with cold water only!! No coffee machines. Didn't try the slide, seems lot of fun though. Kids pools too small, mild hot. Large pool ok, less hot than the kids'. The medium pool was good, very hot water. Heaps of space for picnics. Probably won't go there again.
d. h.waingaro hot springs is a great family day out. the lady who owns it is very hospitable and the pools are very clean. my boys thoroughly enjoyed the pools especially the toddler pool with its lil slide was perfect for my 4 year old and my older son loved the big slides. then we ate under the big canopy that surrounds the pools. i definitely recommend it to anyone who has children that enjoy the water.

R. M.It was a pleasant and enjoyable day spent at Waingaro Hot Springs but facilities are in desperate need of both maintainance and upgrades. Toilets and changing rooms need major uograding, "showers for starters need to be operational or at least turn on for starters".. outdoor awning area needs a complete overhaul especially chairs and tables.. these owners have made no effort to make improvements what so ever.

B.Back in the 1980s myself and friends use to go out to the pools every weekend ,had the log over the large pool bk in the day..we lived in the pukemero, rotowaro area..Heaps of great timesmany of us even helped build the water slide area as well

V.Very nice with an outdoors feeling because it is outdoors there are heated pools next door with 2 slides and a safe baby pool, fun for a family get away or just as a couple to get away from your busy life and relax, bbq's are available there aswell just let them know you want to use them, there is a charge on that but not to much. And there are covered places aswell for wet day cause the best day in a hot pools is a wet day

Wir waren sehr gerne dort - besonders an regnerischen Tagen.
Die Rutschen muss man extra zahlen, sind aber ganz witzig (allerdings nur alle Stunde geöffnet).
