Craving a fish burger, looked these guys up & they did not disappoint… Snapper fillet burger, so yummy - fresh - crisp - and well seasoned with beautiful sauce … $5 chips, massive serving and easily finished as they were cooked correctly and crunchy without being overly oily Thanks team ☺️

If you want a good choice of takeaways then Paihia Fish and Chips is a great place to go. Not only do they have amazing fish and chips but also a great variety of tasty Asian food. So you're spoilt for choice. Really delicious food at a reasonable price.

I have become addicted to this place I get a kids meal 3 fish bites and chips and the fish bites are a nice size and the helping of chips is huge. I can't even finish them. The fish is fresh and tasty. I just ordered a Thai meal from them tonight Chicken and cashew on rice. The meal is a very big size, tasty and comes with rice good for its price.. I will be ordering that more often too.. great staff, decent price for Paihia and big portions... fresh and delicious, thank you.

Standard chippy in Paihia. Enjoyed the salt & pepper squid. Single portion of chips was massive! Lots of seating inside and free wifi, just have to ask for a code at the till.

Very good quality food range. We bought Scallops, Wedges and Hoki Fish (Huge pieces of Fish and very fresh) Very good meal. Lots of parking in the area for customers, staff friendly and helpful. Come support our local businesses in these difficult times.

The fish size was great and there was a good amount of fish. I have found at other places like Mount Maunganui the fish was a 1/4 of the size that we got at Paihia. We enjoyed our meal, were full and would go back.

Normally when I see a restaurant with such a diverse menu, I would normally think that it is not that good, or at least decent. However I was craving chicken rice and being away from home, this was the closest option. The chicken rice came, quite a large portion with quite a lot of steamed chicken with a small container of dipping sauce. It is similar to the Hainanese chicken rice. When I tasted the rice, it was very chicken and gingery and was very yum. The dipping sauce was a bit hoisinish but with some garlicy that complements well with the chicken. Overall this dish was well done. My partner had order the duck noodle soup, and that was also quite good too. There was a lot of duck meat and the soup have a homey feel to it. Not a big fan of the paua fritter, but was probably not suit to our taste buds.

When I went into town a new fish and chip shop with stir fry meals had opened up and when I ordered for the 5 of us I asked if that was correct as it seemed to cheap. When it arrived it was huge potions and total fat free with with and chips and the rice stir fry meal totally awesome Pahia has a new WINNER in town. It's a must and they are all so happy smiling and helpful. Thanks guys oh and super cheap with big portions eat in or take away

I'd like to try the best fish and chips takeaway in paihia area but I find it closed so a guy suggested to me takeaway number 2. Kitchen is very professional and snapper was very good. Fries were not crunchy but good. Portions are adequate.

At last Paihia has a quality fish and fish and truly amazing asian dishes. There rice is so fluffy and yummy. Fish portions are very very good now I'm a big eater 1 serve of Hoki and Chips NO SALT (they will laugh at that) is $8 and normally but if I'm really hungry they have snapper fillers and other deals for $12. I dont know how the do it for the price!!!. Large eating inside and tables outside, there is not any fat on the chips or fish which is a bonus. Every thing is very clean the other night there was 26 people I couple when I walked in and I ordered and had all my food in my bag within 15 minutes GREAT SERVICE ◇ Starts with Swey ◇ at the front counter he funny and does his job very good. Also nice cold icecreams for dessert and great variety of drinks they have $2 cans of different flavors SO OVERALL U WANT FISH + CHIPS or ASIAN FOOD ..... You are at the right place I just cant fauly anything so a BIG 10/10 From me!!!!!! and on that I have 4 other couples I knew who were ordering at the say time we have spoken since and they loved it also he said fresh oysters and the combination fish deal for $12 feed was awesome. Smartly run front counter and teamwork oriented staff. Snapper was available at the time of my visit and nicely done:crisp batter and flaking meat. Chips were good with proper portion. I'll be back. I've tried a couple others here in Paihia also. I only write for places I'd return to.

WOW Paihia Fish and Chips is amazing in every aspect, Swey at the front counter will point you in the right direction. The place is clean all the cooks are in the correct attire there is lots of casual seating area inside and out, now the food is perfect!!! not 1 ounce of fat on the wonderful chips and i have had, also the Hoki and Snapper both thick fresh and in a YUMMY Batter, Fresh oysters, lots of sauces to choose from. This is one of the best Fish and Chips shops i have ever eaten from!! They also do some amazing Asian dishes. Just to top it of get and ice cream at the end. BIGGEST BONUS IS IT'S SO CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!! Welldone guys keep that quality up you wont fit everyone in!! BIG Cheers from Rosey

If you are going to do other food types other than fish and chips and burgers.....it would be a good idea to know how to cook/make it.....the burger, popcorn chicken and chips were fine but the sweet and sour chicken and the Beef Noodle Soup were basically tasteless.....nice try guys but you're going to have to up your game a lot!
