Reviews of Devil Burger
V.
Their burgers was great tasting. My partner had the poison ivy and I had the Devil steak burger. They were both really good tasting with well balanced flavours, however the mushrooms on my Devil steak burger made the whole bun soggy as I had to get a takeaway. My partner loved his burger he said it was just a tad oily. Overall I would go back there but not for takeaway. I’d like to dine in once COVID passes.
R.
It's pretty obvious that I got my burger to take away haha thought it would be nice to tuck into it sitting on the waterfront. It was a nice day and it was great just sitting on the waterfront wall chomping down whilst also ignoring the scavengers. I also ordered chicken tenders which I didn't take a photo of (oops) and man were they hot?! So cautionary tale here: if you're into chilli then you'll love the heat level but if you're a mild girl like myself then perhaps order a side that won't set your tongue and tonsils on fire. I probably should've asked about the heat level so that was my bad! I think I went for the Devil Burger with no red onion or Devil relish. Would I go back? I would. Great location and speedy service.
R.
Great burger selection but also offers other food items and a selection of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. As my wife says I love my meat but I could barely eat my Devil burger.
G.
Best burger place in Queenstown!
Went here a couple of times now and every time they nail it. We go here with my partner and order one burger for both of us and some fries which is plenty enough. They have a large and interesting variety of burgers. None have disappointed so far and the chips are also really good, love their aioli.
A burger and chips comes out to about $22 which is the same price as if you were to buy a share meal at McDonald's, but the food is so much better.
Fergburger stuff is a bit too messy and greasy and you have to wait in a huge line. Go here instead
G.
The burgers here are always yum, I actually prefer them to Fergburger plus the service is much faster. The large burgers are pretty huge so may want to share!
M.
Not sure where my original review went for this place when we visited about a month ago but rewriting it.
Have tried both this place & Ferg’s & I prefer the burgers here. The bun is softer & more similar to an American style burger. Chips are also more like a thick cut chip & reminds me of the type you have at a local fish & chip shop back in Aus.
This place is also a lot more inviting, you don’t have to wait in a crazy line & you can actually find comfortable seats/tables.
Service was fast & friendly also.
Totally agree with other locals who suggested to give this place a go & glad we did. Will definitely come back here next time I’m back.
M.
Fast service no matter how busy they are. You'll never wait more than 15-20 minutes for food.
Amazing staff with a fun vibe.
They have huge portions for the price.
You should definitely check this place out if your in town.
Way better Than ferg burger in my opinion.
Check it out!
You won't be disappointed :)
J.
Pretty good! Food is decent and has its own flavour. The logo could be intriguing for some though.
a.
Our once in a life time visit. Amazing spot, Great burgers. Very tasty and flavour ful. The Man Killer was Awesome!!! And the Curry chips sauce is the best in whole wide world!! Great customer service. Thanks for the Sticker :-)
A.
Good range of burgers to choose from. Generous fillings. Very tasty. However my partner and I both preferred the bread at other local burger places.
M.
It's not as busy at lunch time so it's a good place for me to have lunch 😁 good burgers and quite large I have to say! Good value for me. Had the lamb burger one it was good 👍
E.
Why choose Devil Burger over Fergburger?
- better dining experience. bigger and better seating area. More chilled laid back vibes
- fast service, no need to wait long for food
- cleaner and bigger toilet
Sorry to say though but Fergburger taste better. Patty is more juicy and flavourful there. I'm saying this cuz if the burgers are on par I'd rather support the underdog. I'll surely come back to Devil Burger again but more so for the reasons above.
J.
Delicious burger, the sauce shone thru! Definitely different from Qtown's most famous and in truth, I'm not sure which I prefer. Devil Burger's seating area is larger. The prawn side was also crunchy and with a perfectly matched aioli.

It was an OKAY burger. Nothing special. the patty was dry and thin... i expected more specially with this store being the top ratings by google reviews! And the location was not facing the lake side, so if you’re planning to stay and enjoy the view, it’s better to pick restaurants facing the sea.
We ordered:
Devil’s burger - we ordered regular it was big but very slim patty. not juicy at all! 😞
Chips with bbq sauce - nice chunky and toasted
Environment:4/5
Waiting: 5/5
Taste: 3/5
Price: 3/5
Service: 4/5
What I liked:
- sauces was nice
What I disliked:
- nothing in particular
K.
I feel the burger was not as good as I have had previously. Less tasty. Tables were left cluttered for some time after customers left. New customers cleared stuff away tgenselves. Felt the whole experience was not as good as in previous visits. Also they need a better way of advising food is ready for collection. Instead of yelling out a number invest in an electronic sign which displays the order number .
M.
Burgers are big, juicy and great taste. No long lines and decent atmosphere if you want to eat there with enough seating.
S.
Since Fergburger is so crowded with people waiting in line, possibly a hundred, Devil Burger is our alternative. It's ok but not pretty special in deliciousness. The service is not good as well, as the waiter was impatient during our ordering. I do have the impression that most kiwis indeed have much more patience than Americans, but it's not true here. I hope it's just a single case. The way (still in Devil Burger premise) which leads to restroom was not clean at all, it's greasy and stained. Overall, the flavor of the burger is ok and you can try it if you are aiming for fast food, but there is no need to visit specially.
M.
I really like this place! Obviously, many will compare this to Ferg, but I was told the locals would come here instead of Ferg. I tried their burger twice now. Their patties are not as juicy but they have an awesome selection of burgers and sides! I really love some of their flavours, which I thought suited Asian palate a lot. The curry cheese fries converted me here. Give it a go! You wouldn't regret it. However, the staff here don't seem as smiley.
J.
Friendly service and food came out as described. They catered for my egg allergy well by also offering vegan aioli as an alternative in my burger. Very happy with this, 5 stars.
T.
Devil Burger is better than the Fern burger. For one, you don't have to be a sheeple and wait an hour or more just for a burger. Devil Burger gets a great wrap from all the local tour guides. They quietly say go there, it's actually better. Most people I have come across have said Devil Burger is better. So go Devil Burger. .
C.
Queenstown Devil burger has a great atmosphere and everything you would expect from Devil burger. This particular branch offers an awesome chicken salad that I have returned many times for 👍
B.
We had really yummy burgers here! The pear with blue cheese was so good! Presentation was lovely and the wait time was not too long.
E.
After having the Fergburger 2 today’s ago, I wanted to give it a go as a Burger-Fan. Had the Large Devils Burger. I was pretty disappointed though. The bun and the patties are better at Fergburger. Price similar. I preferred and enjoyed Fergburger more to be honest. However the atmosphere is more laidback and enjoyable with a fire place.
R.
We had a great time here.
The devil Burger was pretty good and the aioli fries and fried onions were amazing.
They have a fair amount of seats and a toilet inside. Also good that the refil sauce for the fries are for free.
K.
I understand why the locals prefer this place over Fergburger. The quality of burgers is the same, if not better, just without the long wait. Although I think the secret is out because it was quite busy here as well when I came in.
I had the She Devil and it was great.
M.
Loved their devilish named burgers... fresh ingredients... vegetarian one was tasty n the jalapeño poppers was so good with the chipotle sauce
quick n polite service..
big area to sit down n have your meal... will def recommend to go n eat here
B.
We had about 15 people so we called ahead and ordered burgers and sides. We were able to pick up the order and head out to feed the crew. The staff were friendly during pick up and had a chat while they were finishing off the order.
There were lots of options and the menu is available online. The burger was nice but I found the patty to be a bit dry. The burger was decently sized so the sides were not needed.
Fairly cheap (mostly under $20) and tasty and close to the city.
W.
I have had better... fish is not as fresh as it could have been and beef is not as juicy and tasty as it could have been... price is not that cheap. $8.50 for a mid strength beer that tastes pretty bland
J.
Dayyyymm good burgers fo sure! The chips are always hot, fresh and crispy too!! Prices to accommodate all budgets and a great range of burgers as well as other unholy foods to feed on. The chips are way better than fergburger and the burgers are on par too!!! I 😉
C.
It has wonderful fish and chips and spicychicjen burgers and ultimately great service lovely staff and lovely food the chips were absolutley spectacular and on a scale from 1-10 it would get a 1000000/10 it is AMAZING Omg you HAVE TO TRY IT I WOULD SAY I MIGHT DIE FOR IT I SWEAR EAT SOME NOW
m.
It's simply better than Ferg burger IMO. It's easier to get a feed (line wise) and it's delicious for the price too. Sizes are crazy big and thats from someone who can eat alot!
B.
Burger was big enough to fill my stomach.
And taste was good too.
Price was reasonable. And staff were kind too.
They delivered my burger to my seat.
Beef patty was soft and lettuce was fresh.
Lunch and dinner time might be busy.
퍼그버거 드셔 보셨으면 여기도 가 볼만 합니다.
크기도 적당히 크고 맛도 있었어요.
S.
The Old Harry fish burger was great, however the Satay Sinner was too juicy, don’t know if it was too much sauce or hadn’t drained the pineapple but ended up very very messy. Nice favour though.
A.
As my friend said as we were tucking into our burgers: 'New Zealand definitely has amazing burgers'.
This one was brilliant - Marys Little Lamb - delicious.
As good as FergBurger without the wait.
A.
This was a good burger place, comparable to Fergburger without the queues and hype. I was a bystander to my husband's meal but I had a taste. One downside to the burger is that the buns were a little dry. Otherwise it was delicious.
The cheese and garlic fries, however, are worth their own special mention. I'm pretty intolerant to garlic and avoid carbs like no tomorrow but I couldn't keep away from them. I think it was worth the stomach upset.
A.
Excellent feed! Totally underestimated the size of the man eater burger, this thing was HUGE and help together quite well considering.
Curry chips were also a treat! Worth a visit.
Would have liked to be given the option to have no plastic cutlery as we were eating in.
G.
A little Busy but good if you want to avoid queueing forever at ferg burger. Large serving. Fries drenched in aoili and cheese were tasty and enough for two persons. Need to improve their beer pouring skills :)
M.
Delicious burger, super fresh and very filling. Nice atmosphere inside also!
S.
Commonly the local's recommendation to avoid the long queues in fergburger. It's a good burger, beef patty is always good and cheese comes as standard but the thin patty is a bit of a letdown to be honest. Still, if you're looking to get a large gourmet burger and don't want to be stuck in long queues, this is a good choice.
D.
A wide variety of burgers. I had the large Devil Burger which is the standard one. The sauce is a spicy salsa which I did not like on a burger but that's maybe just me.
W.
Really good taste and huge burgers, I tried beef, version, chicken. All great, personally, I think it is even better than internet's fomous Ferburger. You should try this if you like burgers.
A.
Had the vegetarian burger and must say it was far better than Fergburger. The order was ready in like 20mins and it was actually good. Big enough to fill up one person. I would definitely recommend this place if you visit Queenstown. Don’t waste your time waiting for Ferg burgers and just try this place, you won’t be disappointed.
S.
Delicious burgers. Good choice if vegetarian options.
B.
Best burger in Queenstown possible New Zealand. Past thought Queenstown a few time in the past year and definitely tops the list for me + No queue and somewhere to sit and enjoy with a beer. Also have gluten free options available. Cheesy fries are a good side. We've had most burgers on the menu Including the veggie option and we be back for more
P.
Amazing burger place! I don’t understand why the Ferg is so hyped up when the burgers at this place are exactly as delicious!! They can do any burger glutenfree and have special vegan sauce. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
A.
Devil burger became a must go place for me as my wife is a fan of their burgers and rightfully so, as this place offers really good options for both vegetarians and non vegans. The ambience is good specially the screens showing oder ready for 666 (devil's number). Come here for good burgers which are definitely the best in Queenstown for me.
J.
A decent burger place that avoids the que associated with Queenstown's most famous burger joint. Having said that it isn't quite as good in my opinion either. Still the burgers are large and tasty, and the place is comfy enough. All round pretty decent.
M.
We wanted to try this as an alternative to Ferg’s, some people told us it’s even better. Unfortunately it isn’t. But it was pretty tasty, we tried burger from venison... it was better than average and I guess it could be on of the better burgers in the town. But not the best.
I.
Not bad. Everyone told us to try this place, so we did. The meat patty was tasteless, like a frozen patty you’d cook at home. Fries were average. It wasn’t horrible, but not to the standard of Ferg, who it’s always compared to. There is a reason why Ferg burger is busy and has a long line. This place was always empty when we walked passed. Glad we tried it because now we know. No offence to this place, just doesn’t compare unfortunately. Come here for a taste and tell me I’m wrong.
J.
It's a decent burger, nothing amazing about it and also nothing wrong with it, price is also reasonable. I thought these were supposed to be spicy but I didn't taste that at all.
A.
Been here a few times and all the burgers are fantastic! I would definitely recommend and you can’t go wrong.
J.
Fantastic tasty burger! Pro choice and friendly service!
T.
Even the regular sized burgers are massive! Even my bottomless pit of a boyfriend was satisfied after only one. Tasty with quality ingredients perfectly cooked.
K.
Excellent burgers, particularly liked the Blue Devil which was a combination of beef patty with blue cheese and poached pear, sounds a little strange but it worked. Nice chips. A small range of beers but good.
C.
Fast service with plenty of seating but the vegetarian fallen angel burger I tried was underwhelming.
B.
Went here because we heard that a certain other burger place was very crowded. Was not disappointed in the least. Excellent burger, just delicious, and also tried the ribs which were great value.
R.
Best burger I had, can't fault.
R.
Mediocre vege burgers. They had 2 options and tried both. One with eggplant and the other with a vege patty. Good to try once
楊.
Not bad ,it is the second option when you want to try some burgers
T.
Ate the devil sprawns and devil burger. good servings and yummy! do try it if u r sick of the queue at fergburger! food is fast and served really quick here.
T.
Couldn't finish our meals cos they were HUGE. Poison Ivy was exceptional!
S.
Place had lots of seating. No line to wait in. No annoying crowd of crazy tourist ruining your buzz. Ordered the man killer and curry chips. Biggest and best burger I have ever eaten. Meat was juicy, mushroom delicious, and sauces the bomb. The bloody curry chips rocked my world. I don't know why don't more places do this. Chips crispy and soft in the middle, and that Japanese style curry sauce is really fantastic. I still can't believe I managed to fit that size burger plus the curry chips in my gut. The food was so delicious that I had to overcome my 'tummy full' pain and finish it.
J.
Best fries in town! Dont miss out on the delicious garlic & cheese fries such a delight. Burgers are huge for value.
Z.
Went here on Sunday afternoon and the lady was so lovely, excellent customer service. The burgers were delicious and no line. Equally as good if not better than Ferg burger. Good understanding of allergens and did a dairy free burger with no issues. We were here years ago and my hubby still insists it’s so much nicer than ferg, this was confirmation for us again 6-7years later. Had this 3 times now and has been consistently amazing!
R.
Another must visit Burger joint in Queenstown which is remarkable.
The have a variety of choices along with couple of Veg options as well.
D.
I haven't tried the burgers but 5 stars for the curry chips. They made for the best view of my NZ trip ;)
F.
Amazing experience! The staff is super nice, the burgers are great plus there's plenty of space to sit down and relax with your burger (I recommend sitting next to the fire!)
A.
Was a good burger. The halloumi chicken was very good.
M.
best burgers ever! very nice customer service
V.
Really rate this place, IMO it's better than Fereburger only because it was softer juicier, but best to experience both while your in town
T.
Really good burgers.
A.
I was a bit disappointed, my burger was bland and with no salt whatsoever. I had high expectations for the Devil burger, but they weren't fulfilled at all. Sorry to say </3
C.
Fantastic place, burgers we had were all amazing, they don’t hold back on size and ingredients, curry fries were oh so good, ribs cannot beef missed, totally worth a try.
B.
Really nice burgers. They come in 2 sizes. Regular 125g or large 175g
Had a gluten free Yankee Devil and a side of chips.
Burger reminded me of a good old Australian Chicken Shop burger... Size and Quality. Far better than the normal fast food usual.
Chips a little soft but still enjoyable.
P.
My favourite lamb burger,Curry fries with Speights😊😊
A.
Bluedevil (burger with bacon and blue cheese), hula hoops (onion rings with aioli sauce) are always a good option.
No long waiting lines, fast service, a few tables and chairs to enjoy your meal inside the place. It's a important thing during the winter
S.
Burgers were tasty and fresh, didn't wait too long despite a busy restaurant. Only downside was seating arrangements as it was so busy
P.
Better than the other place! Tasty burgers, available in 2 sizes, great chips and they’re licensed!
T.
Quick delicious food, good service and friendly staff. Great flavor and portion on the ribs, chips were very good and we enjoyed our burgers immensely.
Minus 1 star for the sticky table but otherwise the restaurant was cozy and clean.
P.
Forget the myth or reputation of other burger joints in QT , this place is the best burger in New Zealand bar none!
Plus the amazing staff introduced us to the weird sounding but sublime "Curry cheesy chips".
Go there , order, pig out and enjoy the best burger in QT 🤤
A.
I ordered the basic Devil Burger with fries. If a place can wow you with their classic burger, you KNOW that the rest of the menu will be good. This burger was excellent, from the bread down to the grill flavor of the patty. The fries were also crisp and well seasoned.
I haven’t tried Fergburger, but I didn’t feel the need to do so after having a burger from here. I called ahead to have my order ready for pick up and left right after making the call. There was barely any wait, with my orders in my hands a couple of minutes after I arrived.
A.
Waaaay better than Fergburger, not quite sure why there aren't queues out the door here, but highly recommend Devil Burger as it's easily the best burger in Queenstown.
Prices are really good and the curry/cheese chips are just gorgeous.
Ended up not being able to finish my burger as it was an absolute monster! Definitely recommend it.
A.
Very under rated for its quality of burgers. And Fries too!
W.
Great burgers. The regular size is usually enough. Their large is huuuge
W.
Really well cooked food with a good selection of burgers to choose from (or make your own). Friendly staff, comfy waiting area and pretty well priced too. Wouldn't recommend eating in, it's definitely more a takeaway place, though they do serve beer on tap if you do!
m.
Is really good burger with nice sauce. The blue cod is fresh. And chips with curry is really amazing.
M.
They have a burger for every taste. So take a chance on the devil and try their burgers
S.
Always a great burger. Very tasty and filling and pretty good value for Queenstown. Busy place with big TV to watch extreme sports. Well worth a visit and beat the Ferg burger sheep crowds.
C.
Great place for a burger in Queenstown loved the options.
B.
Got "the Man killer".... best burger ever , was only gonna have 1 bite before the photo but got carried away!
A.
I enjoyed my burger. It's a good backup. They accidentally gave us the curry fries and let us keep them. They were delicious and better than the garlic fries which were not what we expected. Get the curry fries if you are trying to decide.
S.
Didn’t know what to expect but speaking fish burgers these guys have the better one in town. The curry/cheese fries were delish and the ribs size and portion was really decent. A great burger spot if you’re looking for something tasty, quick and easy to eat.
N.
Located a bit off CBD on eastern side it has many menus from land to sea and has beer taps too. Has modern and pleasant interior and enough dinning area.
Quite popular among tourists but the bun/bread was not up to the price tags. Tried a few times and taste-wise in general, it was kind of so-so. I wouldn't mind trying more menu but only when there is no choice!
김.
+ Friendly staff, nice burger
- 15min waiting for food at the earliest
A.
Got the chicken wrap which I imagine is far from the speciality at a burger place but it was great. Tasty, big portion and had a homemade feeling to it.
H.
Tried Fergburger few times..wasn't worth the hype.. tried Devil Burger once.. was SOLD! And so was the Missus.
T.
Devil Burger queenstown is definitely the best burger place by far. Everyone said go to Ferg Burger but Devil Burger wins hugely. Great taste, friendly staff, very clean, no hour wait in line & all round fantastic. Would highly recommend Devil Burger.
M.
Very fast service, really nice burger. But there is a certain other famous chain in town that has much tastier buns. Otherwise not a big difference and well worth a taste!
H.
Great alternative to Fergburger! Burgers were tasty, loved the names on the menu too! Very creative.
M.
Oh wow. Subperb place. The burgers are the best i ever have had.
The locals will tell you the same. A bar and burger joint all in one. Amazing dinning experience.
A.
Not bad but below expectations. Didn't think the meat quality was very high and although the bun was good I don't feel like it fit the burger. I had the venison one. Also chips weren't very crispy. Menu sounds and looks amazing but again I think my expectations were higher. Nothing too special. B-
A.
Suuucccchhhh biigggg burgersss!
it was yummy!
W.
One of the better burger joints in town, lesser waiting time but wasnt sure why is that so. They serve delicious burger, usually couldn't finish everything but I gobbled everything fairly quickly. They are pretty intense with the decor. I love it. Sure you guys would too!
Food. 5/5
Price. 4/5
Waiting time 4/5
Surely have to drop by if you are in town!
T.
Very juicy and tasty burger. Large portion of chips. Highly recommended.
S.
I had a tasty chicken wrap while enjoying the fireplace on a cold Queenstown day.
A.
Very good burgers. Nice place for a quick bite. We had five different burgers and all of them were good. The patties could have a bit more seasoning to my taste, but it was still good. The venison burger (Dark Knight) was especially good.
J.
Best burger I have ever had. Didn't think I was going to get through it once I saw how big it was but once I started I couldn't stop. Real chicken not fake patties, crispy bacon, so yummy. Next time I am in Queenstown I will definitely be back for more.
T.
Have eaten a lot of burgers, this place blew our minds, move to Tauranga now!
C.
The burgers and chips spot on, not much of a atmosphere... although didn’t matter too much when you chomping down on a burger with pineapple and satay sauce?? It was surprisingly delicious. Free filtered water and a toilet out back although all round casual vibe
J.
Awesome kai, the Old Harry burger was fresh and tasted healthy, the garlic chips were very tasty and the devils spawns were delicious, highly recommend visiting
A.
I've been to Devil's burger twice now on my trip to Queenstown and i can honestly say the steak sandwich is the best burger I've ever eaten. Its so well balanced, it leaves you feel good about yourself and every single bite is packed with flavour and deliciousness. We're planning the rest of our trip around how we can fit more devils burgers in because there is nothing that even compares to this in Australia. Definitely the best in Queenstown.
J.
Great service, good price for a filling meal. When you come to a burger place, you don't require much else. I enjoyed my time at Devil Burger, which has a select menu of uniquely or amusingly named options almost all below $20. Beer available, and kid options. Got served by one of those guys who you just feel the desire to appear cool to. Has a good atmosphere, but maybe missing that final star for not outstandingly individualistic in its decor and vibe.
Overall, probably among the best in QT.
S.
We went today and were not disappointed. Hands down the best burger and burrito in town. The burgers were big and very tasty. Definitely go back
H.
Hi, i ordered 4 the spicy devil burger today.
I heard alot about devil burger so i was so excited but the chicken is overcooled and chicken is not juicy it was very dry. But the bun and sauces nice but the main ingridient chicken is not good
N.
I think devil burger is better than furfburger without all the hype driving queues 45 minutes long. Everything tasted better and wasn't prepared in a rush to meet the crazy demand. I had a chicken burger and a side of chips. I couldn't eat all that food because it was all so big. You really get your moneys worth here. 👍❤️
R.
Great “classic” burger place focused on doing a good straightforward meal. Other reviewers have complained that the meat pattie was a bit flat or not juicy. This wasn’t my experience, my burger was a good size and plenty juicy.
Also, they have the best chips I found in Queenstown.
o.
Great tasing burgers, not a long wait time as well.
L.
Place very cool, good service and a huge and tasty burger
S.
Great service, good food and atmosphere.
J.
Best burgers I've had in Queenstown. Don't bother with the queues at Fergburger, come here instead.
T.
This would be my burger place recommendation for Queenstown. I had the she devil and it was the perfect home/tuck shop tasting burger with beetroot and egg. I didn't even mind the bread (which is huge) to filling ratio. The curry cheese chips were bowl licking good. The curry is a katsu flavour. Other burgers in our group were all highly received - venison, lamb, fish. The kids grilled chicken was also deliciously soft and tender.
C.
Amazing burgers and friendly staff
R.
Great atmosphere but not the best burger in town. It was less crowded but still took a long time to get our orders ready.
A.
Very popular burger place in Queenstown and after eating there can def understand why. Don't be put off if there is a que. We still received our burgers pretty quick.
How the system works. You place your order and are given an order number on your receipt. They have large TV screens that let you know when your order is complete and ready for collection.
There is seating in the premises but I wouldn't rely on getting one, however you are just a short distance from the shore front where there is benches. We sat there and watched the world go by.
A wee side note only bottled juice sold.
The staff were friendly and helpful even though they were busy.
D.
The devil is in the detail. They had really good big burgers.
L.
big portion. devil burger was standard, but venison was good
P.
I especially enjoyed the cheese and aioli chips. They were so good, but just needed a bit more salt on it in my opinion. I got the Bottomless Pit burger and loved it! It tasted so fresh and a much healthier version of a burger. The size was massive and fed me over two meals haha. The service was not bad. Fantastic location! Two burgers and one side took 12 minutes so it was very quick service as well! Would recommend over Ferg 😊
P.
Average burger and wrap. I ordered grilled chicken and feta cheese wrap, the filling was little less. Just had two pieces of feta cheese and 4-5 pieces of grilled chicken which was little flavorless. I would rather have made the same wrap at home. And same with burger, ordered veggie burger, the potato filling was tasteless and bun size was more. But I must admit chips were good. And service was good..we came 15 mins before closing and they took my order. Thank you for that!! :)
F.
It was a good burger and even better fries. They were super friendly as well.
The pricing was a bit high and I expected better food for that price. Honestly I'd rather spend that money at fergburger or even at McDonalds next time.
Great experience and super helpful staff nonetheless.
R.
Best chips we've had in AGES. I had a tasty salad while my partner had a burger. Food was delicious and the service was great.

Recommended. The other popular place in town (already mentioned by others) was nearest my hotel but it didn't seem worth the effort when I saw the crowd. Pretty sure I'll have had better burgers with less faff. Back to Devil Burger - apologies guys but you were the backup option on the night, though I was glad I stopped by. Enjoyed the blue cheese burger, nice punch to the cheese topping and ticked all the right burger boxes. Friendly, unpretentious team too. Good tunes and a nice environment in which to eat said burger.
D.
They lean into the "devil" "666" theme HARD, so the place is dark, the burgers all have devil-themed names, and the decor is a bit Gothic. The burgers aren't cheap, this is definitely a nicer class burger joint. Minimal seating, so be prepared to wait for a seat or do takeaway during busy hours and tourist season. But for the money, it's a good value. The burgers, even the regular sized ones, are quite large, and the fries baskets (which aren't included with burgers) are huge too.
A.
Wherever I visited queenstown. Everytime I try to visit this shop for vegetarian burger and these guys never disappoint me. Great taste and very heavy burger. Try burger on your next visit.
D.
The burgers here are put perfectly together. Each bite is consistently good and makes you want more. Not greasy either - you just feel good afterwards. It outclasses the more popular Fergburger since it's less busy so they have more freedom to do burgers that aren't mass produced. Curry chips are great but very rich, each potato just tastes great. I'll sell my soul to the devil to have these in my home town!
V.
Very yummy we ordered Old Harry ×2 large. Absolutely filling, fish was delicious. Deff would come back 10/10
T.
We had two burgers with sides and despite the place seeming quite busy we got our food quickly. The burgers tasted great and the fries are outstanding, even without any dip. The music is quite loud, but you can make normal conversation.
T.
I loveeeeeeeee their Old harry (Fish burger).. and yeah they have my all time favourite Ben & Jerry strawberry Ice cream.... which u wont get it anywhere else or even in supermarket.. They are one of the best burger available in town. For me it is No. 1.
K.
Straight up delicious burgers for a decent price! Each burger I've had from here has been amazing! I haven't tried Fergburger however I would highly rate this restaurant and I've never had to wait long to order or for my food!
L.
Amazing burgers, could do with more staff as wait time are a bit long
O.
Best burger joint in NZ imo, curry cheese chips? Best idea ever.
z.
The best burgers I've had....the cheesy and garlic aioli chips were amazing....i also had the beef burger..yummmmy...bye bye diet!!!! Wont be waiting in line for the other burger place again!!!! The staff were friendly and it was refreshing to walk in and be greeted so well....
T.
Ribs were a little dry and tough. Burgers were a little dry too.
J.
While the flavours they play with in their burgers are interesting, everything is let down by the two-inch-thick bun that completely overrides anything special done with the burger.
It's too big to eat without the top of the bun, but when you eat it with both buns, it's feels like you're eating bread with a side salad - not great.
The curry chips were interesting, but the cheese pooled and hardened at the bottom, which we only realised when we'd had 3/4 of predominantly curry-laden chips.
Overall there's potential for great burgers, but they need to fix up their bun quality and bun-to-filling ratio before it earns it's current 4+ star rating.
N.
Good prices, quick service and tasty burgers.
J.
As a world traveler and burger connoisseur, i was challenged earlier today to compare the world famous fernburger to devil burger. Only about 1/2 km apart, it was an easy physical task, but a tough one for my stomach to handle in one day. I decided to basically get each one of their normal signature cheeseburgers with bacon. Simple enough. Fernburger first, and i was starving when i ate it. Good, well cooked patty, good bacon, but nothing really special about it. Hours later still kinda full i went ahead and stopped at devil burger. Patty cooked great, good bacon, the bun was way better (fernburger was over toasted) but the big difference was the sauce and condiments, it really set devil burger apart and so id give fernburger a 7 and devil burger an 8.5. Both places are small, fernburger is tiny and chaotic, and devil burger is less busy. About the same price for each. My recommendation.....skip the long lines and go with devil burger.
C.
Incredibly delicious burgers. It was quite busy and we received our burgers not long after ordering them, staff seemed friendly and polite.
Cosy fireplace warming the joint, modern system for receiving your burgers and overrall a good experience.
Their beef was tasty, as was the venison burger - The burger sizes are massive!! Even in comparison to Grill'd in Australia (They're huge enough). Chips were done great, however not salted but it's available on every table. Aioli was tasty too.
Would definately recommend this place a try, much so over fergburgers, the real hype is here!
J.
Everything was good, but as other mentioned, the bun wasn’t that nice. Too thick and taste like those mass produce bread.
If this is the signature they can bake themselves or improve the bun quality, definitely will elevate the burger into another level.
P.
Good burgers with traditional and new flavor combinations. Friendly staff, decent prices, and good portions. Vegan and gluten free alternatives are available. Recommended!
T.
My Favourite place to eat in Queenstown! Hands down WAAAAAY better than FergBurger. They have so many amazing options and combinations of burgers, it’s hard to decide what to get! Also thier Garlic Cheese Fries are so worth it. For those needing GLUTEN FREE they have the BEST gluten free bun I’ve ever had. Moist and fluffy. Absolutely delicious. If there is a line, wait it out. Trust me, it will be worth it. Also you can call in your order & skip the line all together! Great option if you are heading there soon & want to get your food quicker.
If you’re a couple of small eaters, split one burger between 2 and have a order of fries. You’ll be stuffed.
K.
If you can't be bothered standing in line at ferg burger then head here! Yum! These guys also cater for coeliac! Would definitely visit again!! Try the devils staircase 🤤
M.
Delicious burgers and a large selection of styles of fries.
M.
Burgers were great. Mary's little lamb burger had a great sauce. Chips and aioli nice. Service was bit cold unfortunately. Music v loud but we were sensitive to that w baby asleep in stroller.
X.
I think it's just as good ( or maybe better) as the Ferg. And the good thing is, there is no queue. Apart from the burgers, I highly recommend the curry fries! Such a creative combo, it works! Curry gravy with crunchy chips....mmm....finger licking good.
G.
Great burger, slow service when it gets a bit busy
C.
Great burgers, but the falafel wrap is a bit underwhelming. Deep fried mushrooms arrive at roughly 1000 degrees C... Be warned before you bite into one!! As with Fergburger, a long wait (30-40 mins) on busy nights.
C.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff, easy to order. You don't have to wait long to order and fast service. Burgers were very tasty.
A.
We had dinner here with the kids. The burgers were really great, no ridiculously long line and plenty of space for us to enjoy our meals. Will definitely be back!
D.
BEST BURGERS IN TOWN! Yes, better than the more famous Ferg. This burgers are succulent and so extremely good! Also, the place is great to eat it there, since there is not a huge crowd like in the competence. BEST BEST BEST! And you don't have to wait an hour in line!
The only thing I didn't like is how we were a little bit discriminated by the staff because we look like two young backpackers. We asked for the wifi password and they said they didn't have wifi, which we could see they did, to post this review. Anyway, next customer in line asks for the password and gets it, also with a better service to table, which we didn't get.
Anyways, service is not good, but food is the best!
G.
We were quite happy with out burguers. Definitely go for the large one 😏
h.
We placed an order over the phone and were told it would be fifteen minutes, took us twenty mins to drive there and get a carpark (making us 5 minutes late), the food was already cold so must have been ready well before the fifteen minutes. The food was still nice, but I imagine it would have been nicer if it was still hot! Unfortunately Devil Burger does not even compare to ferg burger
J.
Burgers were a good size (large), tasty and matches up well to Fergburger. Really enjoyed the venison burger, very well done and not overflowing with sauce.
A.
Always so good with a massive menu. Will be back for more. You will leave full and satisfied. They also do great fries 👌🏻
G.
Great place to go especially when your aren't willing to wait for Ferg burger. Similar menu, large vs. Regular size. The buns aren't as good as Ferg burger but they have more options for sides. Solid choice.
N.
Staff is kind, service is fast, burgers are tasty and big and the place is really cool for getting something to eat-in! Try their selection of local Queenstown beers and you won’t regret it! Certainly the best burgers in town!
a.
Wow, was not ready for what these guys are bringing to the table, the burgers are legitimate and do yourself a favour and get the curry cheese chips on the side. Great service, great food and a great location. Can't go wrong here
S.
Solid burgers for a solid price. The taste and portions are excellent, but the seating is limited and uncomfortable and the chicken burgers are very difficult to eat... I wound up tearing mine in half to make it more manageable. 5 stars for beef burgers to go though- and the curry cheese fries were incredible!
A.
The burgers are good however nothing compared to fergburger! Sorry guys.. Tasted very fast food style mixed with cheap flavors.. Really can't say I was that impressed! Would recommend beefing up the burgers with more flavors and ingredients
P.
Everyone raves about Fergburgers but at overcame hour to get served - forget it.
Devil Burger is equally as yummy and you get served straight away.
By the way it's too yummy to share (we got the signature Devils Burger) so don't even think about sharing!
Btw they have a sit down area and a toilet so that's kind of awesome.
Highly recommended!
U.
One of the best in town and staff is super friendly. Highly recommend if you visiting Queenstown. Don't forget to try thier curry chips with cheese. 😋🙂👍
D.
Beautiful burgers, best I've had in 15 years. Wish there was one near me
D.
Delicious selection for extremely good bang for your buck
K.
Devils Burger came highly recommended by site such as TripAdvisor and thus i plunged at the opportunity to try the restaurant when visiting queenstown. I was glad I did, the food was delicious and the burger was massive enough to fill me up. Staff was really nice as well and explained everything I needed help with. The prices are almost $15+ per burger but that's not terrible considering the prime location and size of burger.
A.
I went for the venison burger (Dark Knight) since deer are farmed in the area. The patty was flavorless and texture was spongy; but the kumara rosti were good. Had a bite of the Hardcore Mr Scratch, which was very tasty, so just stick with the beef burgers.
E.
Excellent burgers. Google took us to Fergberger first but the line was just ridiculous. Devil Burger was the second option but far from second rate. Minimal wait time and absolutely no regrets getting dinner here. If they offered thickshakes too they'd deserve six stars.
A.
Yum! Had the Bottomless Pit chicken burger and it was so good. The flavours were awesome and quite different from anything I'd had before, plus queues were way smaller than Fergburger and food tasted great with only a short wait.
C.
Went here late lunch time, the food was very fast and very tasty! Good portion sizes for the price, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The aioli and cheese fries omg - literally amazing, the best chips I've ever had!
J.
Great burgers, great people running it, reasonable prices
C.
Delicious and fast burgers with a range of side orders available. Because you can select the size of your burger and need to order your e.g. fries apart, a good place to eat within budget.
I.
The Man killer burger is huge. Shared it with my partner and we are both full. Would recommend it to someone. It's also easier to find a place to sit compared to fergburger.
V.
My first day in Queenstown I wanted to give Fergburger a try, but then I saw the crazy length of the line and went to Devil Burger instead, cause I heard they were really good too. Devil Burger was probably the best Burger I've ever had. The Yankee Burger was juicy and delicious and everything I could want from a burger.
Today, my last day in Queenstown I decided to call in an order to Fergburger cause I still wanted to see what the hype was about. It was severely disappointing. I got the southern swine and it was dry and bland. Luckily I ordered fries, which are really good and you get a lot for the price, and I got tomato sauce and Wasabi mayo and was able to dip my Burger in those to give it some flavor. I'm really happy I called in my order, which was only a 15-20 minute wait, rather than waiting in the long queue.
Maybe it's because Fergburger is so busy and their kitchen is so packed that my Burger was less than pleasing...
I 100% recommend Devil Burger for a great meal and an all around enjoyable experience with seating and everything!! None of which I found at Fergburger.... 😕
J.
Real tasty vegan burgers, tried both the falafel and eggplant ones and both very yum. Best bit is they have vegan pesto and aioli so I don't even have to miss out on any delicious part! Burgers are a good size and with a side of fries they fill you up nicely. Sauce is given out free of charge as well so very happy to get some more of that vegan aioli for no extra charge. Would recommend!
O.
Really good burgers here and there's not a long wait compared to Ferg. As a queenstown local I go here
C.
I love this place! 100% better than Ferg!
J.
Best burger I’ve ever had!! Big, fat, tasty, flavory, juicy, the double serving of Prime NZ beef was perfectly cooked, the curry cheese chips were so yummy! For once, worth the money we paid for! Perfect decent size! (not like Fergburger...) !
Keep rockin guys! Also, very vegan-friendly for my girlfriend, made replacement for her + discount, the cook even came towards her to let her know that she noticed her order was vegan so she’s changing her food, good on her!
Vegan/vegetarian burger was also perfect huge size! Go there without any doubt!
#ManKiller #currycheesechips #veggiedarkness
R.
Up there with Fergburger but without the wait. Fries with curry sauce are outstanding!
J.
Good selection of burgers, fast and friendly service, and very tasty! Limited outdoor seating if that's what you're after, but otherwise a solid burger joint!
W.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our burger and she said her beer was tasty and refreshing. We will be back soon to try some of the other burgers. THE FRIES WERE AMAZING! #Indpls
J.
Amazing burgers great value for money! We are Queenstown locals and it is our favourite place to get burgers! Nice atmosphere with a good selection of burgers wraps and sides!
L.
Great burgers, I had the "Dark Knight" venison burger and it was excellent. Not too much sauce so tasty but not messy, I could focus of talking to my friends rather than stopping the filling oozing out.
S.
I have wrote similar comments to my review for Fergburger, but I personally don't like burgers. However, I have to say that the experience here was amazing! It was very different feeling to Fergburger where you have to stand up in the cold waiting to order, and have to find a place to sit/stand outside to have the food. Here at Devil burger, you can sit down by the fire place and feel more relaxed. I would definitely recommend Devil burger if you are in Queenstown during winter. The buns have quite different texture to Fergburger as well, where Devil burger buns are more soft and Fergburger buns are more chewy. I prefer Fergurger for the buns, but my wife prefers Devil burger. Both are really good place.
A.
Ferg gets all the kudos, but these burgers are equally as good. Neither are in the realm of maybe a shake shack burger, but if youre into gourmet burgers that have forgotten what a burger should be, these are good.
A.
Always good service. Great atmosphere and clean. Better than the more popular neighbour around the world. Delicious food and the best chips you'll get anywhere. Just slightly overpriced is why it got a 4
c.
Best burgers in town. BBQ chicken burger amazing.
C.
Pretty good burgers. We went in a group, and everyone had the same opinion that this is overall slightly better than ferg.
B.
The customer service was excellent. The Burgers by themselves are kind of pricey, but the taste and high-quality of the food does not disappoint. Would recommend.
Z.
Fairly decent, good portions and burgers - although overpriced as always (as it is in Queenstown due to transport of goods). Theme was a bit gauche but well done. A good place that most don't venture into due to Ferg's Burgers.
O.
Amazing burgers, i wonder why the hype is at fergburger when these are so so much better. i got the venison burger and it was fantastic, although i couldn't really taste the venison. The chips and aioli were FANTASTIC and i wish i could take their aioli home with me.
S.
We love this place. No long wait. AMAZING burgers and wraps. You can sit in and eat. They have a fire place there too. They are now our go to in QT.
M.
Very good quality of food, very fast service. Razonable price
I.
Awesome burgers and fantastic menu offerings. Service was quick. Rates up with the best burgers I have had. The cheese fries were to die for.
J.
Good place to eat. Big burgers, that's worth it with Ferg burger. Différents tastes, I don't think that one is better than the other one. But the restaurant is so much confortable here than at Ferg. Also more choices for the fries ' sauces. I recommend!
J.
Great tasting burgers and beers.
M.
Got the onion rings from here, they were pretty good! I had finished them all before I realised I don't actually like onion that much, that's how good they were. Food good, climate change bad.
A.
It's okay but expensive and not as good as the fergburger.
T.
Their burgers are good and very very tasty
After having both their and Fergburger, I can say their burgers is no less then the famous joint.
Definitely try their delicious food
A.
A must try in New Zealand's number 1 tourist city. Great burgers, beautiful dining area. Has a very homely feel and will go there again the next time i fly down to queenstown.
J.
Decent burger! Ordered a large burger and regretted it because its the size of a dinner plate. Altogether delicious. Make sure you're very hungry before going
A.
It is a nice place to have dinner. Staff is affable and efficient. The burger itself was a bit shay from being a good one. The meet slice is too thin and lacks the juice of a thic portion. There are too much souces insude and the bun was prety dry and crumbles a bit.
I.
Quality burgers without the queue you get at Fergburger.
They always answer the phone so you can preorder and just pay and collect without waiting in line.
Good feed when you just want something quick and tasty.
A.
This place deserves better - I'd struggle to choose between here and the ridiculously popular Ferg Burger around the corner (definitely choose Devil if you want a seat). The lamb burger here is pretty special, I'd recommend paying a visit just for that.
R.
Way better than ferg. Save yourself the wait and get a better feed. Burger meat was better quality, sauces are tastier, chips were nicer, and no overhyped wait!
Y.
Very tasty burgers, I loved the devil sauce which added a good kick to the burger. Cosy interiors with lots of tables making it very comfortable to eat in.
J.
Good sized burgers at reasonable prices. Staff were polite and quick. Chips a little soggy and bland, but burger packed a nice punch.
I.
Stopped here for a quick lunch with my fiance and had 2 burgers. Plate was chipped which was ashame and alot of tables full of empty plates even though not that busy.
Overall food was good and nice atmosphere.
S.
Ordered chicken salad and didnt like it much. Chicken was a bit smelly and too hard to chew.
C.
September 2017
always love devilbuger
devil always good, service very good, people always happy.
big like always, "good for them and bad to us", devilburger us getting too popular, so now orders takes longer, best way is call order and them go to pickup :)
B.
Really great burger. Good size, plenty of fillings, quality meat.
The one let down was no Kumara fries 😭😭 otherwise would give 5 stars.
V.
Best chips and enormous burgers. Good place to be on a cold evening. We were early so got a table in front of the fireplace. Walked by the shop during peak time and it was packed😆 Good food attracts crowds ❤
J.
Had the beef burger with the pineapple and the cheesy curry fries. Best burger if had in a long time and the fries were excellent aswell.
R.
Good place to have burger in queenstown. Tourist mostly head for fregburger so the average waiting time there is more than an hour. This place is equally good and the waiting time here is 10 mins.
P.
The burgers are really good and pretty reasonably priced but the service was a bit slow at lunch time, it took 15-20 minutes to get our burgers
F.
Its good but I'm confident you can find better burgers in Queenstown if you look around
陈.
Not even close to fergburg. Similar price but with normal bun and normal sauce. Ordered the divel burger. I can only say it is a little better than MacDonald with double the price.
M.
I called ahead after work to give this place a try because i always go to ferg. I dont think ill be coming back here. The burger was average at best and cold when i picked up. For the same price you can get a much better burger at ferg. The aoli they gave me for $1 was half filled and he just said im sorry its all we can do after i asked him to fill up.... never again devil ill take my money back to ferg next time
L.
The popular comparison of devil's vs fergburger. It is a good burger place and definitely not as busy as fergburger but I got give fergburger the crown! I still enjoyed my burger and cod wrap, both were really good! Worth checking out, especially if you are in a rush!
R.
Ferg who? I would rather go to Devil Burger than Fergburger. Size is almost the same, no waiting times, delicious burgers.
The only sin I can think of is that you guys don't have a branch up in Aucks!
A.
Simple devil burger with chips and a pint of mac’s 4 wolves. Awesome food, great environment with some chill music. Good place for friends good place by yourself. If you’re in queenstown, get a devil burger!
C.
Good alternative when furgburger is too busy. Burger is not cheap. Flavour is good, but nothing special. Chips are nice and crispy. Burger bun is too soft and not very good quality.
B.
No que, dine in seating. taste good.
M.
Nice atmosphere and an amazing burger. Not as crowded as another burger shop in town which just made it nice to chill, chat and enjoy. The staff were friendly too!
D.
Very good burger, good and fast service.
I recomend the fries with cheese and aioli.
The burger was big, the patty was really good, the bacon and the vegetables also good.
Its better than fergburger for sure.
S.
Amazing burgers and way delicious than fergburger. Must try 😋
J.
Honestly in my opinion better than Ferg's burger. My favourite burger place in Queenstown. So worth the money
J.
Great service and no line. Completely average on the international scale of burgers. It's what you expect but not going to blow your mind, an option for sure.
N.
Falafel burger was pretty meh but that's my pathetic choice of a great menu. My girlfriends was incredible. Would be the best burgers in town if Fergs wasn't on the other side.
M.
Great value for a killer burger. Need a spicy burger though.
B.
Very nice burgers with very reasonable price. Their burgers are as good as the fergburger. Will come back for more burgers when come to Queenstown next time.
J.
Arguably the best burgers in Queenstown. Rarely has a queue and usually has warm seating available.
R.
The burgers are good but the customer service makes the difference! Everytime I go to Devil Burger, the employees are friendly and even though you have a problem because you ordered something that you didn't like by mistake, they are willing to help you.
C.
Excellent burgers, pretty much as good as Fergburger but with less queues and a quicker service time! Definitely worth dropping in to try one or two!
A.
BEST in town! Can't beat the delicious prices of these big juicy burgers and can't leave a review without mentioning everyone's favorite Curry Cheese Chips
c.
Our group left with full tummies from the amazing food! Burgers rock!
B.
Great food, cashier took the wrong order and refused to fix it. We eventually got what we wanted but he could have just fixed it straight away without causing an issue. It really shouldn't have been a big deal.
R.
Decent burger, I really liked their Devil relish and thick bun but overall wasn't blown away but also didn't wait in a queue for 2 hours so I'll take that any day
D.
Devil burger was delicious! Bring tired of waiting in a que at another burger place, here we got instant service and it was damn tasty. I had the venison burger. Yum!!
A.
Full and huge burgers, great place to sit down and grab a beer, burger and a good meal that's good value for money, instead of standing in line for 45 mins and being let down over and over!! A real locals spot, and worth going back over and over!!
k.
Didn't match the hype it created around its name. Very limited options for vegetarians and though size of the burger was impressive but didn't like the taste at all and fries were not crispy enough.
m.
Had the Blue burger, was pretty good, unfortunately let down by cuts of beef used in patty, not enough fat so was dry
A.
Loved the burger better than freg the fries is tasty too portion is massiv price is fine. There was no que however we waited 30 min for the order at least we were setting not standing up as in freg
P.
Good blue cod burger!
D.
Great burgers... Had the Devil burger and curry fries.. excellent. Nice to sit indoors and not be standing in the weather like you have to at Fergburger.
M.
Very good burgers, you need to be hungry as they are big
A.
The menu is as good as Ferg burger, but there are no queues. If you want a good burger and don't want to have to queue for hours just to order it, this is the place for you
a.
Blue Devil. Taste good.
J.
Decent burger! Ordered a large burger and regretted it because its the size of a dinner plate. Altogether delicious. Make sure you're very hungry before going
R.
Way better than ferg. Save yourself the wait and get a better feed. Burger meat was better quality, sauces are tastier, chips were nicer, and no overhyped wait!
B.
Devil dog was delicious.will definitely be going back
N.
Reasonable price .awesome food. Good and clean. Friendly staff.
A.
Great burger with lively atmosphere. Very nice onion ring. Thou, I found Fergburger to be slightly better.
D.
Devil burger was delicious! Bring tired of waiting in a que at another burger place, here we got instant service and it was damn tasty. I had the venison burger. Yum!!
I.
Quick, yummy and always answering their phone!
My preferred choice of burger in Queenstown.
Call them on the phone and you'll never have to wait in the queue for your burger fix!
M.
Nice atmosphere and an amazing burger. Not as crowded as another burger shop in town which just made it nice to chill, chat and enjoy. The staff were friendly too!
M.
Awesome menu!
P.
Everyone raves about Fergburgers but at overcame hour to get served - forget it. …
T.
Would have been perfect if the seating was more comfortable. My partner and I loved the burger, and we recommend getting it without chips because the burgers are so filling!
N.
Super good food !! I was a little gutted when they decided to stop offering loyalty cards, but they have since restocked them which has restored my loyalty to devil burger 😈 👌🏼
T.
Awesome, Delicious fast friendly service. And the fireplace was just fantastic.
K.
Never disappoints. Always have to get a burger when in town!
T.
Had the daily special, slow cooked pork shoulder with BBQ sauce, which was marvelous. Even though you might pay a bit more than at fergburger, it's totally with it, since you can get a better Burger.
A.
Food is a little overrated in that you can't taste the meat. I had the Mary had a little lamb burger with undwhelming fries and it tasted of the other ingredients and not of lamb.
J.
We had their quirkily named Poison Ivy burger - grilled eggplant on haloumi and a glass of sav!
T.
Awesome burgers, great atmosphere, good price, decent sized burgers and friendly service. Fergburger is way overated and devil burger is way better
H.
Great service and friendly staff but they put too much BBQ sauce on my hardcore Mr Scratch burger.
Chips was very average too.
S.
Big bun, little burger. Nothing special. Bummed we chose this place, the locals said it was better than Ferg. If that is the case, pass on all burgers.
L.
Good at all times of the day.
F.
Good burgers, nothing out of the extraordinary but miles better than other places in town, service was always great.
A.
Went here for the curry chips, was not disappointed. The burgers are on par with Ferg Burger but without the long wait. Venue was very busy and seating is limited though
S.
Awesome delicious devil burgers. Spent 4 nights in Queenstown and had them 3 nights.........wish we were staying longer! Don't delay get there now......run!
B.
Yummy burgers and delicious loaded fries!! Definitely worth a look, especially if you want to avoid the wait and crowds at Fergberger!
S.
Decent burgers! You won't leave hungry. I've had better but only from Goneburger in Hamilton. Great job
P.
Great burgers friendly staff, made my wife’s plain burger without issue. will be back for another before we leave QT
T.
Better than maccas. Not as good as Ferg Burger. Their Poutine curry chips is off the chain though. Best chips in Queenstown. I'd go back for the chips.
s.
Pretty good burgers, good prices, if your looking for a super tender juicy thick paddy might wanna search around though. Was very satisfied.
C.
to sell fried button mushroom is really really acceptable tasty. I was astonished theirs fried mushroom so i want to eager to eat it again.
A.
Delicious burgers. Only reason for 4 stars is they don't make their own buns so they're often not as fresh as they could be.
J.
excellent burger, had the devil staircase and the fish burger, love their toasted bun so much!
A.
Average burger. Over spiced patty.
P.
Excellent joint, great food and great service... and has a beer while you wait! Doesn't get much better anywhere in Queenstown!
A.
Nice burger, no waiting lines and even space to inside. Dont believe the hype of other spots - those burgers are at least as good!
P.
Definitely rate these guys over ferg burger . Always being a better meal
M.
burger is good, but the star is the ribs!! excellent sauce and very tender meat
R.
Good burgers but we felt sides were expensive and didn't do the burgers justice. Beer on tap, quick service and two high chairs available.
M.
Great burgers and good value. Kids meal was huge and only $12. Will definitely choose devil burger from now on.
C.
Great burger!!! Burger was huge so don't be deterred by the price, it is value for money.
P.
I love the burgers here and the menu is really fun. I think this is Queenstown's real best burgers.
H.
Burger was alright, not amazing though. Their curry and cheese fries are AMAZING!!! SO WORTH IT and not that spicy either.
M.
Great burgers, definetly competes with the fergburger hype. I prefer to go here because the wait is pretty short and you usually got a place to sit whilst waiting.
B.
Would recommend over Ferg any day of the week! They also do proper curry chips (like you can get in England!) And their burgers are delicious
L.
Good burgers, not expensive. Same price as Fergburger, however lower quality. It worth going for those who do not want to face the huge Fergburgers queues
J.
Lovely big burgers hot off the grill. Staff really friendly
A.
Very Good Burger and friendly employees. I had the Mans Killer Burger with Onion Rings. It was good and massiv. Will come again when i am in queenstown.
A.
Great burger with lively atmosphere. Very nice onion ring. Thou, I found Fergburger to be slightly better.
D.
Better than the FBurger and much less of a wait. Delicious and I'll be coming back next time I'm in town. Recommended by a friend and worth the shot.
T.
Great burgers, warm atmosphere, fairly quick service, really good chips - would come here over ferg.
S.
very good burgers. Better atmosphere to eat. Very good place, highly recommended to be in Queenstown. Chileans around the world
D.
Compared to fergburger, devil is only better in the queuing time. The beef freshness and juiciness are far below fergburger. I finally understand why fergburger requires such a long queue.
J.
Best burgers in queenstown hands down. Head and shoulders above the competition.
R.
Just as good as ferg burger, but way less crowded.
It is nice to be able to sit.
Good food, Fair prices, good service.
N.
Just did this 2days ago..fantastic. fast azz burgers...massive and hearty yumshish... recommend wraps. Queues are dealt with ASAP and people r sharers in space and hospitality is up there..have a great 2016...award winning
M.
I had the "Mary's Little Lamb Burger" which I quite enjoyed. The service was fairly quick. Definitely check this place out!
R.
Best burgers in Queenstown! Awesome staff, custom made gluten free burger, wouldn't go anywhere else.
C.
Great value, enormous burgers with barely any wait, as good as Fergburger for sure.
S.
Best Burgers I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
K.
Great burgers and salads
K.
Absolutely love devil burger. The food is always delicious and they have the best onion rings in town.
D.
Very delicious burgers for reasonable prices and no x-tra long queue as Fergburger. Ambience is also nice. I can really recommend this location.
b.
I was on holiday for a week. This is the best food here for whole trip. My devil's staircase cooked by chef Frazer Dougan a man from Scotland was 100%
M.
Amazing burgers and sides. I'd move to Queenstown for the burgers and become an illegal immigrant if I could afford the property prices here.
G.
Amazing burgers and less crowded than other popular burger places in the area which is great.
j.
Had a great burger here and was served promptly and politely. Probably just as flavoursome as fergburger but not as fresh
S.
went twice, burgers are awesome, meat was too well cooked the last time, really dry. apart from that, awesome
s.
Epic! The Burgers were sensational. Ridiculously seized. A nice atmosphere to dine in. I ordered here twice it was that good.
Y.
The burger was extremely good. Easy to down. And the portion was generous! Recommended for sure!
A.

D.
Consistent burgers. Great chips and easy fast food. The go to place when need a quick feed!
C.
Fantastic burgers and fries without the wait like ferfburger (don't get me wrong it's worth the wait). If u tried ferg already and don't want to wait in line go to devils
I.
I know you're coming for a burger... but their wraps are really good! Skip the wait at Fergburger and enjoy a peaceful and tasty meal.
H.
Better than ferg trust me on this I am a local any day this place has best burgers in town great vibe place to sit and great staff with happy faces
I.
Good burgers and chips. Fast and efficient. A reasonable alternative to Fergberger when in Queenstown and don't want to wait for the long lines.
K.
Amazing burgers and the garlic aioli chips are to die for!! The staff were so friendly and it was super cosy to eat in!
J.
The best burger in Queenstown.
M.
best burger i have ever had. great staff. would definatly go again.
J.
Something a bit different. Nice food. A tiny bit more expensive than other places.
F.
Really good burgers for a resonable price (13$) Would come again.
A.
Best burgers in Queenstown. Fergburger is so overrated!
Y.
I suggest with going with the more expensive burgers and you won't be disappointed. There is usually no queue and it's easy to get a sit in place and relax right there.
E.
Best Satay Sinner burger , was so yummy good prices and great service ! Highly recommended to stop in for lunch if in Queenstown !
A.
Very juicy and delicious burger. Staff always kind. Nice and warmer ambient.
M.
I'm sorry to say that the burger I got (pineapple) tasted like just a burger. It wasn't bad but not special either. "The counter" still wins for me.
E.
I love devil! Never really a wait. Always a great burher. Have never had an unhappy meal
Here!
M.
Average burger. Burger was well done. Fries were not full cooked and lacked flavor.
T.
Great food. Staff was a little hard to understand. Place was cool and loved the fire place. Much better than Fergburger.
r.
One of the best burger I have ever eaten (hardcore Mr. Scratch).... 2 days later... Same opinion ;)
G.
Love Devil burger. Hidden gem for the locals. Best curry chips!

Great burgers me and the misses loved it. Beer and burger go down a treat.
E.
Very good burgers even better then ferg and don’t need to stand in line, highy recommended
W.
Burgers were great, mushroom really nice. Better eat here than the other famous burger
P.
Location may not be as known but a far larger superior burger than others in the market, you even get your whole order at once not half of it when 'ready'
Cheers
T.
Too much extras and not enough chicken. Bottom pit had too much lettuce, onion and avocado mayo and not enough chicken.
In general ok but expected better.
G.
Very good gourmet burgers with way less of a wait compared to the more popular place.
N.
Average burger, recommend rather try Fergburger if you aim for taste rather cozy dine condition
G.
The place to go when you can't be bothered waiting for Ferg. Not as good but then again is Ferg really worth such a long wait. The choice is yours.
T.
My favourite place to eat in queenstown love the burgers and all ways get the curry cheese fries go here every time I'm in queenstown
L.
Awesome burger. Real value for money.
A.
burgers are delicious, crowded and bit rushed but the food makes up for it
D.
Nice burgers but not as good as Fergburger. Wait took a while considering not that busy. Buns not at good as Ferg
F.
Good burger. Massive. Wish the kids juice didn’t come in a plastic bottle.
A.
Awesome burgers. Better than fergburger! Also right across from a great donut place.
D.
Best burgers in town. I definitely rate these over Ferg... The hardcore Mr.Scratch is amazing.
b.
Great burgers better than ferg burger and I never have to wait in line to order.
A.
I am an American that visited this place three years ago, worst decision I have ever made as I have yet to have a better burger since that day.
g.
Burgers were always delicious, no ridiculous queues like ferg and a better burger, curry cheese chips were lovely too
J.
Delicious burgers and fries! It is like Ferg Burger without the massive queue to order.
C.
Don't want to line up for a f.,..burger . Eat here .. excellent BURGERS's and BEER.
Sit down next to the fireplace and enjoy !!
J.
My absolute favourite fast food place! Tasty af burgers every time 👌👌
i.
It's an ok alternative to fergburger if you don't want to wait in the long queue outside fergburger. I prefer to wait patiently in line for the original
P.
Delicious, large burgers. Not expensive. P.S. if you go there the devil may get you.
R.
Friendly staff who were able to make 3 of their menu items (2 burgers and a wrap) vegan. They even use Vegan aioli!
P.
Unique craft burgers. Hi quality. Goden curry chips/fries are a must try.
T.
Mushroom burger (funguy) really nice :)
W.
