take this review from a 76 year old that has had F&C from many shops over the years . The fried Monk fish with chips is by far the 100% best F&C my wife and I have ever had. it doesn't get any better than that! That's our opinion and I hope everyone else enjoys the same experience as us. top marks to Hooked!

Good sized meal, plenty of fish and loads of chips! Really nice homemade tartare sauce and lemon wedge is a nice touch. Also they have a cool selection of British soft drinks like Ironbru...

We normally get a pottle of chips which is a good amount for my husband and I but they have stopped that and only do small and large chips, fair enough. When my husband got back with dinner the amount of chips was a joke honestly we use to get more in a pottle of chips. Also both the owner and girl that were working were not wearing a face mask, which at level 3 they should have been. Very disappointed!!!! We are regular here but without them wearing a mask,far to risky and whats up with the handful of chips.

Best fish & chips (& mushy peas) I've had for a while.Not overcooked. Generous portions. At a good price. Friendly service Well worth a visit .
