Great value for money great service, friendly staff, lovely fresh food, I enjoy the fish, chips, burgers, home made potato fritters, pineapple fritters all yummy. My 'go to' local store. Only issue is no 'blood and guts chips' which is more an issue for my kids.

All I know is for probably the last two decades, 🤔 or possibly more?...this 🐟&🍟 takeaway has been known to be 1 of the best places to go to. Why, you may ask? ✔️ both the fish & chips are cooked to your request, I prefer underdone. ✔️ I'm going thru a hotdogs & pineapple fritters phase atm, theirs are 💯onnnn🤤, burgers & battered mussels are 💯 on point too there ✔️ They'll kindly cook your own catch/fish at no added price provided you order chips or other items from their menu with your ✔️Peak hours gets very busy, that's a good sign, yeh ✔️Good customer service, 😥They no longer sell Kina, but this hasn't stopped me from going here. ✔️ It's one of my TOP 3

Recently relocated from Whakatane and never thought I'd ever say this but the Fish & Chips are the Best! Went according to the Ratings and so not disappointed. Service good, bro behind the counter friendly and polite. Lady behind the frying excellent job! Thanks to you both. Definitely our local fish and chips spot from now on.

As a visitor don't make the mistake of thinking $14 nzd for 5x fish fillets and chips is enough for 2 ppl. Its not its more like enough for a family. Also bring cash as foreign credit/debit cards wont work.
