The rumours are true, these are the best fish n chips in Rotorua, possible the best I've ever had. Chips were amazing.

Have always enjoyed perfectly cooked fish and meals from here. Ordering ahead by phone does help with avoiding queues at this popular venue. Staff are always friendly.

CLASSIC kiwi fish and chips. AUTHENTIC Cooking, a blast from the past. The 70's ...oh yeah!..that's what I'm talking about. FRESHLY BATTERED selections of fish filets ...you point, they'll cook it...you wanna go healthy, ask for a humble crumb style, or just take it home fresh, and cook it yourself. And in my own opinion cooked "PERFECTLY"... Crispy, white or golden if you want it under or over, you choose! And of course the CHIPS!!!..not fries...'AUTHENTIC remember ' sprinkle a little salt wrap in paper...all over rover..".Gee's, I love this place."

Nice fish an chip meal. Bought two pieces of Tarakihi and received three pieces.

Stop by after my te puia show to get a quick bite for lunch. Variety of menu on the wall right in front of the wall when you enter the door. Price reasonable. Big portion of fries and good size of fish. Fish and mussels are really fresh. Good place to grab nice and decent lunch.

Great service and better fish which we used for a delicious raw fish salad. Thank you for the fresh quality and appreciate prices. Shine on. Oh we also got a tub of muscles which made the most amazing chowder and the tub of oysters never made it back home. The raw fish and chowder were the family favorites at the end of the day.

Normally this place is really good but I didn't think it was as good as usual. I asked for chicken salt on my chips and it didn't even taste like there was any salt on them at all. The Crab ticks were good and the fish was yum. The chips were cooked really well they just needed salt.

Good to see beetroot in a kiwi made burger, but all the chopped up salad mix was just falling out , tasty fish, chip and mussels but the batter just slid off the fish and mussels and was extremely oily. Maybe poking steam vents in paper with metal skewer after wrapping would help otherwise the temp of oil ain't hot enough .

This chippie is very popular for good reason having beautiful moist chips & a good selection of fish to choose from. Definitely preorder over rhe phone otherwise expext a significant wait time especially from Thursday onwards.

This is the best fish and chip shop on Rotorua. David and his wife are a wonderful couple. The food is fabulous. Never soggy as some fish and chips etc can be. I'd recommend it to anyone visitors and locals alike. I've been going there for many many years and the food and the service has never changed.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time!! Fresh snapper fillets were melt in your mouth and not greasy. Top it off with half dozen oysters and they were amazing, no wonder this place is so popular. Sorry no photos as we devoured it all before we got camera out. A must try in Rotorua!!

My favourite in Vegas!!! 92 years old schooler backs me up. It must be at least 3 or 4 generations in one clean friendly fast Kiwi Fish n Chip shop!!! One secret that recently uncovered was their fish burgers!!!!! Absolutely devine. Since covid they've become the base of every order and reasonably prices.... Mmmmm so good!

Great fish and chips in Rotorua. Fish is fresh and batter is nice and light. Beef Tallow makes a huge difference in the depth of taste and fragrance compared to most other shops using vegetable oil. Presumably less healthy but boy is the taste worth it.

Best fish and chips in town, tasty and cooked in clean fresh oil. Book ahead as they get busy due to popularity.

The battered fish and chips were expertly cooked but the flavour of the chips was a little oily and I had to close my eyes when I looked at the condition of the area around deep fryers. It was very busy and may have been the result of the setup but I've not seen so much overflow in my life.

The chips were tasty and the fish fresh but unfortunately it had no taste. Sorry wasn't sure what type of fish it was.

Second time coming here. Love the tasty battered oysters, mussels and scallops. Their fresh oysters, smoked spicy salmon were also a treat. You can see why the place is very popular with the locals .

The food is excellent, you just have to be clear about what you want and how to order. The person at the counter wasn't very helpful and we ended up ordering too many chips and not the right amount of fish. How, the food was excellent!

The fish was small but super tasty and the batter was wonderful. The banana fritter was something else. Very tasty but a single portion was more than I expected.

Nice place clean and tidy.. Ordered 4 Tarakihi and half scoop chips.. However the fillets weren't very big.. thin.. and also slightly over cooked and abit dry.. Chips great though.. After reading others comments I guess I went in on a bad day.. So I'll put a 4 star rating instead of my 3 star..

Blink and you'll miss it, this tiny shop has the best fish'n'chips in Rotorua. Also sells an impressive range of fresh fish and seafood.

The mussels were good and I like how they sell fresh produce eg fish and punnets of raw fish, kina and minced paua. Their batter isn't great though and the chips are quite bland tasting.

If you want huge yummy oysters, tangy sweet raw fish, fat milky kina, tasty tender paua and the biggest beautiful snapper heads ive tasted, along with yummy smoked and fresh fish fillets, haere mai koutou ki te Toa Iti humarie.
