Best burger I've ever had. No exaggeration. Exactly how you want a burger to taste, but so so fresh! Also the gluten free bun is amazing! You would never know it was gluten free. Just like a real one. Fluffy and delicious. Also the chips actually taste like potato and don't seem.over fried or greasy. Truly amazing.

We usually eat at restaurants on the island but wanted something takeout. Ordered two burgers from here and didn't disappoint. Opened the wrapper to find a fat burger that could be in a commercial. Tasted as good as it looked.

Amazing burgers. There's often a wait - but this burger joint us Waiheke's resounding answer to Fergs of Queenstown. Totally worth the wait. Highly recommend walking down to the beach with your prize!

I came to Waiheke Island today to go to Too Fat Buns. Now you might be wondering, why cross the ocean for a burger? Fair question but this is no ordinary burger. This burger was cooked to perfection at a juicy medium temperature. It was seasoned with just enough salt to dance on your tongue with every bite. The Swiss cheese melted beautifully over the burger like a warm blanket. The sesame seed bun is so delightfully soft and structurally sound to give the burger the right chew texture while also functionally keeping everything together without a mess. If I could afford it, I would move to Waiheke Island for this burger.

Genuinely my favourite burger ever. Forget Ferg Burger (which is heavily overrated) - there should be queues for a Too Fat Bun. Hope to see more pop up in Auckland City!

This tiny establishment produces really good to-go food! Beef burger patties are done medium, and really tasty, with a good balance of lettuce, cheese and sauce. Even the small burgers were solid meals in themselves. Also tried the spicy chicken burger which was indeed spicy, and also tender and juicy. The hot and spicy wings were also fabulous. Last of all, all of it was really affordable at NZ$12 for a regular burger, and NZ$8 for a small one.

Should've checked the reviews, but can't live with a medium/medium-rare burger. Otherwise to be fair, really good burger. Good fries also.

Had the Spicy Chicken burger and Choc milkshake; both were delicious and the chicken breast was nice and juicy and really tasty. Will be fantasizing about the burger when I'm back in Auckland!

Best burgers on Waiheke! Tucked away in a little mall in the middle of Oneroa, it’s easy to miss Too Fat Buns. Seek it out. The burgers are amazing! After returning from a long hilly walk, we were ready for a substantial lunch and Too Fat Burgers didn’t disappoint. Packed full of ingredients, but not greasy, the hardest part is choosing which one. I don’t often go for a vege option, but felt like it today and it was so good. Oh and service was excellent with the friendliest person taking orders. Highly recommended!

Best burger ever? We have found this place "accidentally" in october, and was very positively shocked by the burger... Big and very tasty for a good price!

Phone order, really good to speak with and got my large order all correct. Everyone loved the fries. We had Hot Chick’s, Small Beefy Bun’s, Small Chicky Bun’s and they were all outstanding taste and quality.

The burgers here are perfect. Tasty ingredients, perfectly made. Always feel well fed and happy after a feed here. The vibe is awesome and service is quick, just beware of weekends!!! Sometimes there's a long wait due to high demand.

Absolutely one of the best burgers I have every had. Definitely representative of the fantastic burgers I was expecting in New Zealand. Very helpful staff. Wife had the Hot Chicky and loved it as well. Would certainly recommend to anyone!

Ordered the chicken/bacon burger, fish burger and fries. All I can say is these are the BEST burgers I have had in New Zealand! They take their time to make these gorgeous gourmet beauties (15-20 mins) so be patient & it will definitely pay off :-)

Fantastic burgers at reasonable prices. Their chocolate thickshake is a must try also. I was later at a vineyard in the evening with average food at ridiculous prices, and all I could think about was how good my lunch was at this burger joint.

Fair pricing for the highest quality food and staff you can't find anywhere else in the world. These two manage to hit a home-run with everything they cook here. The soda is fantastic, and the shakes top it all off. Glad I took the trip over to the island, will return in the following years for another round! Hope you guys stick around until the end of time!

The Best gf burger I've ever had. Best fish Burger I've ever paid for. normal sized bun with seeds, and the fish was fresh and tasty. Super Friendly staff and the business is very environmental as a bonus.

This was my first visit to Too Fat Buns, I was immediately taken at how clean and crisp everything seemed. I was warmly greeted by who I assume is the owner, the banter was easy flowing. The menu is not massive but I feel it doesn't need to be, the emphasis is on quality. The burger I ate was delicious, the bun was fresh as was the greens inside the burger, as for the pattie, it was very yummy. If you're on Waiheke then you'd be silly to not chow down on one of these burgers.

The best burgers on Waiheke! What a great menu to choose from. Extremely fresh produce, and tastes great! We had the Veny and Chicken burgers and we are still talking about them. Take your burgers down to the beach and enjoy.

Wife and I are in New Zealand for our honeymoon. Stopped by this little hole in the wall for a bite to eat while on Waiheke Island. Surprised to see a vegetarian and vegan option! These burgers were both delicious and the woman behind the counter was super friendly. Totally worth a visit if you need a bite to eat. Short walk from here to the beach where you can enjoy their food as you hear the waves crash. I recommend to anyone visiting the island!

I went to Too Fat Buns last weekend and it was absolutely delicious! All of the ingredients were fresh and the patty was cooked perfectly. We had amazing service and I would highly recommend going to Too Fat Buns when you are on Waiheke Island.

Well.... when my brother-in-law said we just HAD TO GO to Too Fat Buns, I knew it had to be something special. Well, a Veny Burger and a Mam Bun later, I fully get it! Good quantity and quality for the price, the service was excellent and the wait was reasonable. Would highly recommend, just be willing to spend more than any other burger place.

Simply the best beef burger I have EVER had. Fresh well prepared ingredients perfectly put together to give you a culinary treat. Beats 5* restaurant food,you should definitely try it.

Seriously good burgers. Everything about them - consistency, quality of ingredients, how well they held together, how juicy they were - was just great. Fries were good, too. Well salted, nicely cooked, and the aioli to dip them in was nicely garlicky.

The vegan burger was delicious, but the place is a little hole in the wall with very limited seating and no view of the ocean. This doesn't matter for takeaway (which I would recommend), but be mindful of this if you want a sit-down meal.

Absolutely incredible. My burger was absolutely packed with delicious ingredients and I asked for my patty to be cooked medium rare and it was perfect. Thank you for the excellent dinner :)

This was a great spot just a little bit away from the beach. We got the chicky backey and some hot chips, both were good, solid foods but nothing mind blowing.
