We don't live in Wanganui, but when we come to town and they are open before we leave we call in there to buy our lunch. The best fish and chips ever, never had a bad meal from them. The staff are always happy and polite, the shop is clean and the food is delicious. What more can you ask for.

First timers to Hilltop and we were not disappointed at all. My husband is gluten free and he enjoyed his fish very much. Beautiful nice sized battered fish. Chips well drained and very little grease. The buffet was scrumptious and there was a variety to choose from. Definitely a place we will continue to return too. Customer service was excellent and wasn't waiting to long for order. Thank you very much 👌

Bloody - 2xCod, 1x chips - been eating 'their' f&C's for +/- two years - the Deep Sea Cod is the be5tter of the three fish offered; chips are constantly 'good'...

Good fish and chips find. Highly recommend the corn fritters and scallops, the fish had nice texture and the seasoned wedges were great. Would return next time we travel through Whanganui. Note their signage outside just says hilltop fish & chips.

A fab Fish'n'Chips spot. Good fish selection and lots of other food like squid rings, springrolls, hot dogs, etc. They even do reduced salt/seasoning and pan fry if you are health conscious.
