Great place for all your tool needs and very knowledge friendly staff. My 2 yr old daughter loves pushing the kid trolley around and helping and seeing the dogs around the shop.

This Bunnings is awesome, it always has what you need, and if not they will order it in for you. A special mention to the special orders team, I worked with Matthew to design a kaboodle kitchen, he helped me every step of the way, took returns of things I didn't end up needing, and was a general great bloke to work with. The team are young and enthusiastic and explain everything to you, so even if you are a novice at DIY (like I was) they make it nice and easy. I couldn't have done such a good reno without their help!

One of your amazing staff saw me battling with my kids at the checkout, to avoid a tantrum she let my daughter scan 3 pairs of pink gardening gloves and then sneakily deleted them and took them out of our basket. What an absolute star!

I had placed 3 online orders from my chosen store in Auckland, each order was diverted to Hamilton. Both the first & second orders had items that were no longer available, therefore a refund was made back to me. After my refund was made, I then placed my third order for the items that were missing from the first & second orders. After a few days, I was then sent a text to say that my entire orders were canceled. That day I watched the online covid update from Govt. in the live broadcast I made a comment stating something to the effect of "Bunnings needs to get it together," & oh my did they ever! My comment received a reply from Louise from Bunnings Grey Lynn. In her personal time she chose to remedy the situation. She messaged me right away & by the following day she & the team had collected all of my items & had put my parcel on an overnight delivery out of in Auckland. Can I stress that Auckland are in L3, therefore Bunnings aren't delivering out of the city which I later found out. She then kept in constant contact with me to ensure I had received the parcel. Today I opened my parcel & was absolutely overwhelmed. On top of the items I had ordered, Louise & the team had put a TON of goodies in there for my babies. Louise had no idea how stressful this time has been for me & that kind gesture absolutely meant the world to me! Louise apologised for all of the inconvenience, which I thought wasn't necessary at all given Auckland are in L3 & I'm currently in L2, but appreciated it non the less. Can you promote Louise to CEO or something her customer care & professionalism is second to non. Thanku soo much to u Louise & the team at Bunnings Grey Lynn, I'm absolutely speechless, overwhelmed & soo incredibly grateful, thanku all soo very much! 💜

Best Bunnings branch. When you call, they answer unlike New Lynn and Mt Roskill. The young lady working at the tool shop register was highly competent at applying the 15% discount to a product I found cheaper elsewhere. At New Lynn there were 2 staff who attended to me, one was clueless and passed me onto someone else. The next person had to ask their supervisor how to do discounts. Then the supervisor said specially hired "price checkers" had to do it, and they only work weekdays. So I couldn't get the item, even though Grey Lynn could do it in 5 mins.

Shopping at Bunnings can be a bit like shopping for a burger. The picture looks great but the delivery is a bit different. Really a bare 2 12 stars today at Grey zlynn. Got the product I wanted (I think) but for all the staff in there, nobody to give advice or guidance when I'm looking for $1000 or more of racking, shelving and storage cabinets. As I say, got probably the right stuff but won't know until I put it together as there was nothing assembled to view. Loading it up, about 180kgs in 4 packs, the staff just walk on by. I'm not decrepid but at 66yrs, I'd rather be lifting half the load of awkward 1.8m long 45/50 kg cartons, especially when they have signs on the packs '2 person lift, hahaha, or is that only for their staff. Customers do their own checkout and heavy lifting.

What a huge store! Aisles as far as the eye can see! Great for some very large shops or bulk orders as this store will definitely have a higher share of distributed stock. Parking spaces huge as well. 5 stars.

It's hard to argue with the selection and the prices, but it really could do with being better organised. Too many items have no price info, many in the wrong place. Also, some similar items can be found in two or even three different places (like home automation and security). That being said, the paint tinting guys have been awesome a couple of times.

This is a great, large Bunnings. Whenever we go there the staff are happy to help and most things are usually in stock (some covid impacted items but staff always try to find an alternative or another store with stock). The trade timber area is easy to access and the free trailer use is really useful. Often got a sausage sizzle out front on the weekends and the undercover parking is a bonus

This looks like a small store from the road but it is huge, has lots of car parks and covers different levels. Having a Bunnings located here is a real boon for the community. Take note that the entrance to the car park is a bit tricky in that you can only enter from one direction and leave in one direction

At first it's kinda strange going up several escalators to get to the store, but it's cool, and adventure for kids I guess. Staff member that served me max has a super smile and really friendly. Otherwise it's a burnings like the others.

One of your staff did a very good customer service this morning when we were trying to buy a toilet in the store. His name is Rex, who is an aged gentleman. We know one of the toilet in clearance online. But we can't find it in Mt wellington store, so we went to the Grey Lynn store and try our luck but without any chance. Fortunately, Rex stay with us and help us find the toilet in other places, He made lots of phone call to Mt roskill store and New Lynn store and spent long time to communicate with different stores to make sure we are going to the right direction. He had lots of experience on pluming and with a very polite attitude to customer. he is patient, professional, friendly and considerate person. He should get a pay rise or promotion in my opinion. We just want to say thank you to him very much.

This place is great for people with small children. It has a small indoor playground which is gated for security. And cafe where you can sit and enjoy coffee and cake while watching your kids playing in the playground. Great service, there are plenty of workers roaming about always happy to give advice or direct you to the right isle. Love the mini trolleys for the kids and the workshops which they have on been weekends for the kids.

The service in the plumbing dept is second to non. Expert advice and they take the time to explain things so you do understand. Everytine I go and the staff are busy, I don't mind waiting as I know the service is worth it. ( I'm not a plumber so I need things explained to me... slowly... lol.. )

DIY painter, the service man was very helpful in choosing the right roller brush and explaining the difference between pricing which was great. The thicker the handle the more sturdy the roller brush is from $7 upwards and than you get the plastic handles from $17 dollars up. The cashier lady (islander) was brilliant natural and certainly her pleasantness and courtesy you would want to return. Staff professionalism on the day was great. I do though have one gripe and that is a directional sign saying taking payment at the information desk as I notice several people going to the checkout also it would be nice if you are busy attending to a customers needs that you direct other customers to the next register as I and another gentleman were standing for 5mins before we notice the lady was going to be a while hoping over to the other line. Plenty of parking just be mindful of traffic when entering as on a busy stretch of road.(Great Nth Rd)

i love bunnings, always have, always will and nothing will ever change that. However, I went the other day to buy myself some boots and the smallest size you had was not small enough. I probably could have fit two of my feet in the one boot. Please please please get some smaller boots, my feet aren't even that small. Also to make up for my disappointment with the boot situation, I purchased a lavender plant and it died within two days. I refuse to accept responsibility for the death of my lavender plant, it was not my fault. Please do not sell lavenders when its not lavender season that is cruel.

Nice large Bunnings warehouse store stocking almost all the major items in their catalogue. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Ample parking in the basement. The timber and trades entry is from the basement. The garden section is extensive with a huge variety of products. The best thing about this chain of stores is the hassle free return policy. Very well managed. The location is very handy to the city and city fringe suburbs. Highly recommended.

This Bunnings doesn't have the whole range of products, but it's pretty good. The playground for the kids is helpful. The staff seem knowledgeable too, on the whole. Good parking underneath. If you're coming along GtNrth road towards Ponsonby, please don't turn in across the traffic. It's dangerous and illegal.😎

Use to have such friendly and helpful staff. The paint guys and one or two others are super helpful. Some of the Staff are rude and clueless. Don’t trust the lady that works at special orders. She doesn’t check if any of your orders are rite when they arrive and then try’s to blame you.

Bunnings staff always seem to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Nice touch with the staff member greeting you. If you are in a rush, they can direct you exactly where you need to go as soon as you arrive. Very helpful. The only downside with this location is the underground parking situation and the moving ramps transporting you up and down. Up is fine before shopping, but if you have bought a couple of bigger, bulkier items, getting them down the travelator on a trolley can be a bit of pain. My prefered Bunnings are those with the carpark out front on the same level.

If you are living in the city centre, catch 110, 132 or 133 bus. The bus stops in front of a fish and chip shop that is right next to Bunnings. Better than Placemakers on Cooks Street by far.

This Bunnings warehouse is absolutely huge. It seems to be a very well-run operation and with a wide range of products and well-trained and knowledgeable staff. This is especially true of the paint section, where this store has a comprehensive range of paints - e.g., including moisture-cured polyurethane resins. There is also bags of free car-parking. Definitely one of my favourite and most useful stores and with an extensive gardening and plants section. Highly recommended.

I used to go to this Bunnings all the time. It has a good selection of products overall for your average DIYer, and the price is pretty good. Also no complaints re customer service so far - except for one incident which really really annoyed me (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). I went in asking for some wood to stop my rabbits escaping underneath our house, I mean I wanted the next step up from scrap wood. I explained this to the guy, paid for my wood, came home. And then I found out that he'd sold me one of the most expensive cuts (?) of timber he possibly could. So that soured my love affair with Bunnings a bit.

Not bad, primo location. Will have to see how it handles traffic on DIY traditional days. If you don't want to get accosted by every staff member wear headphones, got greeted by 31 staff asking how I was and if I needed help. Drove me mad. The travelator needs to be swapped so you travel up on the left and down on the right for extra room traveling down to maneuver your trolleys. We also drive on the left, makes sense to keep consistency. Well stocked store overall and will be back.

I asked a guy here what he thought about DIY, to which he told me driving drunk is only for emergencies. Another gentleman was practicing swinging a hammer, but holding the wrong end. Too many electric-mower-using, shiny-toolbox-toting, chino-wearing.....people...for my liking. Would have given a two if it wasn’t for a brilliant young staff member asking if I needed help then immediately taking me to the right place for the right thing. Unheard of!!!! Kudos, and I wish I’d got his name - he should be employee of the decade, especially given most of the staff can’t tie their own shoelaces. They also sell stuff here that you don’t know you need until you go. Bunnings is psychic.

This Bunnings is huge and has almost everything in stock. So it’s a good idea to call this Bunnings first and ask them if they have the item you want in stock. A bit of drive away from where I live but this is my go to Bunnings, especially when I’m buying multiple items.

Gosh so exciting as Google asked about Bunnings I'll write something. What I can say it's All Spit and Polished at this rather newish hatch of Bunnies. Nothing out of place, more staff than you can shake a stick at. Parking to die for (in a positive sense) they've got everything covered from A to Z its a flawless display of retail. I've been in it all my life and I know. This Creme Dela Creme when it comes to D I Y but wait there's more.

I'm really pleased to have a new Bunnings close to home. I usually drive to Mt Roskill so this new location will be much easier. However they are a smaller store so don't have quite the range of some of the larger stores. The staff are very friendly but many are still learning and don't know where things are or even what things are. I'm sure this will improve with time. I do like the garden center and see they've brought over one of the ladies from Mt Roskill to get it going well. Looking forward to visiting this store again soon.

Bunnings Grey Lynn has a Large selection of building materials, a good stockist of most DIY requirements. Nice new facility with expansive carpark. If you need any DIY elements for work or personal projectsit definitely worth checking out, as staff seem knowledgeable.

All the bunnings are really the same. The only differences are the layouts and staff that work there. I would say the layout is a bit cramped compared to the New Lynn one and it has less staff roaming. When checking out, there was only two operators meaning there was a bit of a queue.
