Had such a great experience today at this store - all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I brought in a 2mm paint chip without much hope of getting a match and the guy at the paint shop matched it perfectly by eye - such awesome service. I never write reviews but really wanted to shout out the team here for being so great!

I love this branch. You get good products from any store but this branch has staff that seem to go a little further to assist. I came in looking for general weed spray etc and the staff took me to all the relative places. Even gave some advice. Great 👍🏼

The staff today were fantastic, I was searching for a Nouveau Multi-season heating & cooling tower. The staff were really helpful and friendly they helped find the one I'd found online and as I had my puppy with me it was even carried to the till for me. Talk about going the extra mile and providing excellent customer service. What a great experience.

I asked a staff member where I could find a lumberlock joist hangers and told me to go to trades section and told me the directions to go and then found it and asked another staff member where to find the product and they pointed to the isle and made my way there and took a few more minutes to find them! If the first staff member just took me to them and helped me find the ones I was looking for then I would of been really happy! Staff aren't always helpful there and makes me not want to go there!

Within only 1 minute of looking lost a staff member helped me find the things I was looking for. He helped me choose the right equipment for my needs - fantastic service!! Then the staff at checkout had a laugh sharing a passive racist remark with her colleague which just dampened the whole experience.

Always very pleasant to shop at Mitre10, and the New Lynn Branch is not exception. Denny from the timber department was very very helpful, showed us and explained in detail which types of timber we need, helped us to cut them, show us which hammer to purchase and even gave us some tips of how to use the hammer properly… what a legend!

Awesome and friendly service. Robin at the power garden tool section was great. My initial phone call to the store was answered very quickly so good first impression. Ample car parking spaces. Was my first visit to this store as they have in stock what I was after. You can see the store from the Main road but took few turns to get into the car park. Would recommend a visit regardless. Great place to buy the household stuff. Probably one of the biggest store of Mitre 10. They have drive through for building material section. They have electronic appliances, kitchen and bathroom section and plenty of there things to look for. They also have the facility to buying the stuff online and pick it up later or being delivered home.

How the heck do you enter this store? From driving in to finding the right entrance doors, all confusing. I know it's very near closing time, but no help seen anywhere as if store is empty. Walked all the way back to customer service at the front to help me find something, and then once they found it, I realised I didn't see the product I need because the box it's in says "Shipping carton only. Please remove from box for sale." 🙄

The best thing about shopping here is the second to none customer service that I have always experienced. You can basically ask anyone where any thing is and get pointed if not escorted to the items your looking for, and if you need any advice it's always been given in a friendly to the best of my knowledge kind of way. And of course the product range and pricing has also always been great.

I usually love shopping here normally, but just a heads up during LEVEL 3 for click & collect was ridiculous today I was scheduled to pick up my order at 1pm for a 30 minute window as stated in the automated email, I get there at 12.55pm & the line is backed up all the way to Astley Ave, wait for almost 2 hours to get there & they haven't even packed my order yet, which means I have to wait for a additional 15-20 minutes. I don't mind waiting but 2 hours is ridiculous. So don't shop there till it's calmed down, alot of angry drivers & pushy people.

It was a quick in and out on the day,just picking up two 20kg bags of soil for the garden. The cashier was very quick and polite as we paid for them. ALL the staff here are brilliant and more than happy to help and are helpful for any DIY projects you may have. There is 1 staff in the Plumbing department her named is Kirsty. She went above and beyond for us. She really does know her stuff about products and how to do things. I had a bit of a chat with Kirsty and she would really like to do a Plumbing apprenticeship. She seems to really have quite a bit of knowledge and gave me some really good tips of how to find out things I needed for jobs at home and her advise worked. Thank you Kirsty for your help. Went to new lynn mitre 10 to purchase an air switch for an insinkerator but was told that the one on their shelf wasn't the right one, I asked them if they could find out which other stores had it. They found one at Westgate mitre 10 but when I arrived it was the wrong one even though they were told which model it was for, after finding the right one, noticed that the same one was at new lynn and could have saved myself wasted time and travel. There is a lack of knowledge from certain staff and I can imagine slot of customers are given the wrong info and unnecessarily sent on wild goose chase. Not impressed I have a client that ordered a designed kitchen, she wanted me to remove and install the new flatpack. I've installed many kitchens and bathrooms and generally have little issues. This was dropped off by 2 guys, one was older and according to my client wasn't keen to help with taking up to a second level, unfortunately I wasn't there at the time. It was approximately 4 weeks later and because of the flatpacks unable to check off and where it was stored was pretty cramped, this was organized way before lockdown, when it came time to assemble cabinets and install found a few missing items, this discovery was found until the recent lockdown so as early as possible notified the kitchen designer band was told that the components would hopefully be in the following week, I required other items which they have in store but trying to get hold of them is proving impossible, even no response via email or ph calls. I know they are really busy but no communication is not on. I'm now to the point of no more progress and my client unable to move back home as she is away to give me full access. These emails sent 2 weeks ago and several ph calls not answered

This store needs to be run better. Staff here are amazing and knowledgeable but unfortunately it seems upper management and the owner may not care about staff turnover. I'm a trade user and have since switched companies due to the high staff turnover. This store can be great again with the right staff and owner being more involved with the community and trades.

This is the most child friendly shop I have ever used. All the staff treat the children well as well as being super helpful. The playground is lovely. The child trolleys are just right. I go here often just because it's easy to take the grandchildren with me. Nice dry outing in winter.

It was such a wonderful memorable experience because I hadn’t ever experienced it before. A mixed visit this time. Found most of what I was looking for. As usual the staff were plentiful and for the most part knew where to send me. Though one guy sent me to the wrong isle twice. The choices were as expected and priced accordingly. For one item I did have to take 2 options to the till as there was no price tag on the shelves. Always check out the special offer bins dotted around the isles as you can find some good bargains.

We (my family & me) occasionally visit Mitre 10 Mega whenever we need to buy things for our home. Parking spaces are more than enough, the staffs are very friendly and super-helpful. Things are properly organized and labelled - which easily helps the customers to find items that they need. My kids love to see the greens (and it is normal for them to choose their preferred small plants for our garden at home). The playground? Safe for kids, and secure locked. The cafe next to the playground? That is my favourite place to go after shopping. Partnering with Airpoints is a great decision, as it helps me to collect more points while shopping here. Overall : great experience, surely will go again 5/5.

I have shopped at Mitre 10 Mega at New Lynn quite often and the staff on one side of the bldg are very friendly and enjoy i shopping on that side, but on Sunday I had to go to the other side of the bldg to purchase one piece of timber. The Indian man who helped me was very helpful but the cashiers working on that side of the till were absolutely hopeless. There was a lady and a young guy ( Sunday 11 August at around 11am) who had no smile on their faces and looked like they don't enjoy working on a Sunday. I have given Mitre 10 5 stars purely on my previous experience of my visit but this time I was shocked.

Bought 3 bags of soil wheelbarrow and 5 trees with various items. You would think the 5 staff at the garden centre counter would offer to help considering 3 of them were standing around talking. Instead they watched me break out 3 separate loads to carry to the car. Upon asking for plastic bags to wrap the trees pot they picked the smallest bags. Just complete nonsense and disappointed at the staff engagement. I would usually go to bunnings due to the prices and more attentive services however was making a stop of convenience along the way at mitre 10. In saying that the trade staff were eager to help and attend. So definitely a good start with lack lustre ending. Kudos to them.

Will change rating based on future experience. 19/7/19 Pathetic customer service Placed an online order on 14th May for 2 metal sheet to be collected from New Lynn store. Firstly told they will transport from albany to be collected, then it wasn't available at any store. Yet it was showing available ONLINE. J****y tried sorting out and to be collected today, and apparently it's nowhere to be found. Can't believe the standard of service. My first ever project of kitchen bench is now hold for a month. Will not make this mistake again to walk on your doorstep.

Went to mitre 10 on Xmas eve 2018,the staff in there are very helpful and friendly also like to mention the nice Asian lady who helped me and is very kind in the garden center. I've been many times and had lunch there, good coffee.

To be honest I did useto drive past this store and head towards another opposition store. Because I found the service here not as good. I called in to buy something maybe 3 weeks ago. Still not overly impressed. .... But then the past couple of weeks I have been in multiple times. It almost seams like the staff have woken up. I have noticed a more engaging staff. Just yesterday I barely got thru the door when a friendly face approached me and spent time showing me various products. What's more remarkable is this guy had only been there for a week and was on his way to a break when he stopped and helped me. Great service. I most definitely will now be making it my 'goto store'. .... closer parking to the door for us lazy fellas too! !! :). Big change. Has this got new owners or new management? ?? Either way. Keep it up. I think the helpful guys name was Topia.... or something like that. *sorry. He was in the heater /bbq area. Please give him a special award.

Staff members are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Prices are quite reasonable though not as cheap as Bunnings. The store is huge with plenty of items for your gardening & DIY projects. If you collect Air New Zealand Airpoints, then this shop will give you Airpoints. Parking spaces are plenty; and you're also able to get in and out from Clark Street. If this is not your local store, I would recommend you to find your local one as if you need to return any items, it'll be much more complicated if you return/exchange/refund it at the different store.
