They just had a renovation so all looks nice and neat. Service was good as I had some questions answered. My most annoying thing was to find things as the signs above the isles have the text vertical aligned, which is difficult to read especially if you come into the store looking at the left isles!

This Placemakers is a delight and heaven for all tradies DIYers or if you just love Frank's Ginger Beer!!🤣🤣🤣 - clean store inside front and back - signages clear and visible - clear clean aisles - Staff awesome!! Helpful and really knowledgeable. Desk staff may have been a little grumpy that arvo but overall all the other staff were a delight - The loo was clean and the hand wash oml oml THE BEST!! I really enjoyed my time there returning the trailer to the back and waltzing in to see the bathroom kitchenware etc showrooms. Keep up the awesome mahi Wairau Placemakers!!

These guys are great and I enjoy going there. Was looking for timber in the yard a few times in recent days and I was thankful and impressed with the friendly helpful advice I received. Then the guys on the Trade checkout desk are always equally great - and I'm not a tradie - just a DIY guy.

This store is situated in the wrong place. It is in the middle of a consumer shopping area in Wairau Park but the store caters more for tradespeople than consumer DIY customers and rarely has many customers in the store. I expect it to be competitive with Mitre 10 Mega and Bunnings but it really doesn't compete in this area.
