J.Today I needed to buy it 30 metres of garden edging plus wooden pegs. The young man who served me was so helpful, advising me how to shape the wood to see round my edges in my garden. He then cut the wood into pieces that fitted inside my car to take home. I was impressed by his knowledge and willingness to share it with me. If you need to wood, Halswell Timber is the place to go.
S.We visited a number of timber yards, for wood to make a set of stairs and Halswell Timber stood out miles above the rest. With the stair specs, they have good advice and quoted it out on the spot. They sourced and finished the timber to the exact requirement. Note, their website just doesn't do justice for the great service you can expect.

Guy i spoke to at the reception doesnt seem to be interested in talking to me and gave me high price of timber and decking boards compare to other place i've been to. Guys at the yard seems to be more friendly and helpful. Only bought my piles here and never came back.
I.Friendly staff, they had fence pailings IN STOCK and pencils and a tape measure to send me on my way accurately.
