Mundane experience as per usual, but the conversation with staff member Marshall at the returns counter on Saturday really perked me up. I'm sure it would have been just another day for him, but his positive attitude and general kindness really made my day. Big thank you to Marshall, and I will definitely be returning here!

The customer service at this store is why we always come back! No matter whether I call them on the phone or go into the store, the staff are always polite, helpful and happy. They know their stuff too. I found the click and collect process quick and seamless and it's easy to pay via e-gift card and/or credit card online. There was one item (a Gasmate companion to POL brass BBQ adapter) I needed that wasn't showing on the website, but when I rang and talked to someone they did indeed have it. This could be something to check that all stock is loaded onto the website. We also love the range of products available and the giftware and homewares section. Having a cafe onsite also helps!

Looked around for some reasonably priced bollard non solar lights. This place had small and medium sized ones in stock. The helpful sales lady opened the box and plugged in the medium sized lights as there wasnt one on display which was very helpful. I also brought a dusk timer which was from the same brand but the plug was slightly different. I carefully removed 2 small sides on the plug and it fit the unit and worked. Sorted.

I have a suggestion for this business, would it be possible to have the AISLE NUMBER shown on your website when listing products for sale. This would make it easier for customers to find a product.

Today I got one of the best customer experiences I think I have ever had. I was trying to track down a part that it appeared that only the Ferrymead store had in stock but delivery couldn't be made to me online since I am North Island based. Matthew was on to it, engaging and proactive and is a credit to your store. I would hate for him to think the extra effort and standard of service he provides went unnoticed...awesome!

Absolutely wonderful customer service - beyond all expectation. I had a special order and everyone concerned - the salesman, customer service desk, storemen, delivery driver and others went out of their way to help. A more pleasant experience would be hard to imagine. I rang to check on delivery (supply lines being what they are just now) and was phoned back less than 5 mins later! Interestingly, ever person I commended on their service said "Well, we do try". That speaks volumes for the way the store is run.

Only down side is that when they are restocking the put the crates in middle of isles I have a daughter in the trolly and didn't want to leave her out of site to look at what I wanted. Make sure there are room for trolly to go down the isles please other than that small issue love this place!!

I love this home store. My son has autism and can't handle loud noises and they even have noise cancelling hearing protectors that look funky and wonderful and don't make him look out of place. They are not the standard orange but a fluro green. They have everything here and a very knowledgable staff who will help and have advice on everything in store. And there is an awesome little play area.

Thier fault but there is no way of keeping 2 meters apart most people wouldn't worry too much about it but me with terminal cancer and a pic line in my arm and hand not ideal I have had deliveries during lockdown with them so I might have to go that way for me

Helpful staff, was stumped lookikgnfor a pilot light for my oven and a staff member came and helped us without hesotation. Additionally i have a mask exemption my family wear masks but i do not and i often get anxious going out in public as the stress of being questioned amomg other things is very stressful. But when staff observe and take a moment before approaching and respectfully ask rather than bombard you and overwhelm you its a pleasant experience and i need these moments to be heard and acknowledged. My 19 year old flat mate and I walked in and within seconds were greeted by a lovely lady, directed to the right department for what we were after AND she called ahead so there was someone waiting for us in isle 5. A nice man took all of 2 minutes to give us what we needed at a low price and we were on our way. Stellar service and we will be back in the future! (Usually in hardware stores staff just look at us younger girls and leave us to our own demise so this was a really nice change)

We have been regular customers here since it opened. It is now well organised and has friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff. The building is a bit of a blot on the landscape but on the other hand it is locally owned. In recent times I have used click and collect more and more, and it's really well organised. The store has more and more, and in some cases better quality, stock. But the website still leaves a lot to be desired; it can be very difficult to find some items.

Mitre10 Ferrymead can be a very busy place. Even so, given it is so large, so distributed across such a large space, thanks to the very personable staff, it does not necessarily feel so. Operatively, I have patronised this store over the course of the last four years quite consistently. Curiously, the diversity of Mire10’s product offerings, for me, has meant I have visited the store looking to service numerous varied needs. It is this aspect, along with the very human interface, the very friendly, approachable and helpful staff, who find me returning again and again, and almost always, finding or being directed to what I sought. Likely, any attempt to offer analysis or review of such a complex business offering as Mire10 product portfolio represents will be biased in favour of my own subjective experiences, which are unlikely to be wholly representative of all of the store’s products and services. However, in general terms, my experience and inclination would be to emphasise that without the staff, Mitre10 would merely be an extremely large warehouse sitting inert and unrecognised. Distortedly, however, my perspective omits the very large clique of trades people who frequent the store, who, most likely, easily find there way around and would successfully meet their professional requirements one way or another, regardless. As a facility, Mitre10 Ferrymead is very accessible, including walk-in shopping, browsing interest, warehouse-based collection and ordering, and tradesperson specific supply. Furthermore, facilities are distributed across a number of adjacent sites, geographically, looking to service such a diverse clientele. Parking for domestic customers is plentiful, communal with numerous adjacent businesses. Entry and exit is well marked, and, by in large, transacting purchases is fluid an trouble free. Practically, where there is, on occasion, rarely, a problem with a purchase – returns or faulty items are delt with helpfully and empathetically. Mitre10 consistently demonstrates a remarkable flexibility. I do not exaggerate to say Mire10 does advocate for its own customers, proactively. Finally, perhaps in recognition or this business’ size and complexity, there is a cafe’ – a Columbus coffeehouse eatery. This facility operates to ameliorate the potential trial of shopping, parenthood, retirement, and the daily existential anxiety, quite nicely; although, not entirely to my own tastes.

We found paving stones over a year ago at the Ferrymead Mitre 10 we wanted and received excellent advice on how to lay them. Returning a year later the pavers of choice were no longer in production and out of stock.We were directed in store to Clive who said he would arrange to have them made for us. All staff that I approached for help were friendly and accommodating with answering all of my questions (I had a lot of them). One staff member went out of his way to walk me to the other side of the store, to find the exact spot of an oven thermometer I'd been looking for. I really appreciated him taking the time to do that - instead of just directing me. This saved me heaps of time hunting it down myself. A female staff member really impressed me with her knowledge and expertise on fire extinguishers and gas bottles. She took the time to listen to me and was patient when I asked her a lot of questions. The advice she gave me was really helpful! It allowed me to go away feeling 100% more confident than when I'd first walked in-store. I didn't catch her name but thank you so much for your help. Much appreciated. At the checkout I was served by a lovely lady called Jen. She made my day when she came along with a handheld scanner and scanned all of my products directly in the trolley. This saved so much time and effort of having to put each product on the counter. Mitre 10 in Ferrymead is a great store which has such a wide range of products to choose from. They have excellent parking outside the store. We always try to make a point of visiting there when we're in the area and will continue to do so in future. I am so pleased that this mitre 10 had a makeover! The old garden centre used to be a bit drab and on a windy day it was awful. I love that there's a play area and also a coffee shop now! I can go with my toddler and he can burn off all of his energy then sit in the trolley as we walk down the Isles. A great selection of seedlings and plants. The staff are also super and often give Theo a balloon when he comes in. Always a good shopping experience.

I like this Mitre 10 because it stocks items I haven't seen in other stores. I like to have unique items and I can usually find a good presents for myself and others here. Has a great gift shop selection and a good Gardening section that's easy to find things in. Staff are always welcoming. However, buying plants and bags of potting mix can be annoying as they don't stock bootliners anymore and have no alternatives. Not even a roll of thick paper they can cut a slice off from.!

I visited your Ferrymead store today in the Gardening section. I had excellent service from Jack who helped me with two brass tap connections I had inhereted from a friend. He worked on the taps and made them easier to manoeuvre. I am 81 and have arthritis in my hands and find it difficult to manage to turn them. Stephen also was very helpful and he added to the excellent service I received. I really appreciate good service and these boys deserve a thumbs up.!! I find Ferrymead Mitre 10 an excellent store which is why I always go there for my hardware help. Thank you.
