J.This furniture decoration materials store, a lot of tools used in daily life, a lot of decoration materials, electrical tools and a variety of flowers and trees, everything!
J.I really like the fact that the website tells you what aisle and section in store you need to go to. Would be better if there were more staff to approach for DIY questions/advice and more checkout bays open later in the day.
S.Bunnings are great. Ordered something at their special desk. Had to get down from Auckland. But of an effort, but the staff were lovely and kept us informed til it eventually arrived.
J.Great store. Well laid out, I especially like that online search gives you aisle and rack number to find goods.
M.No stock on shelf of what we wanted however a very nice & friendly young man was so helpful checking if there was any stock in the system and he was not even working in that department, great customer service.

N.bunning never dissappointed me about customer services. Bought one electric lawn mower here and it got problem after one year, brought it back and the team assisted me very kindly

He was so amazingly helpful and even stacked our kitchen cabinets and sink onto a pallet and wrapped with a plastic cover and shrink wrapped it for us so it wouldnt get wet on its 200km drive home. He is AMAZING!!

J.Well priced stuff, customer service is a wee bit lacking as the staff don't usually acknowledge you making it less encouraging to ask for help/input from the staff. I understand most people don't like shop assistants being in your face every few minutes asking if they can help but a simple greeting or smile helps break the ice a lot.

J.A bit peeved off. I went in to get vegie mix but they had the isle roped off and putting stock into it. I asked for the mix they said no, come back . So I put my plants back and went to Mitre 10.
T.An unlikely place for a cafe review but if you'd like a consistently good espresso coffee at the cheapest price in town AND it comes with a chocolate fish, you will find no better in Dunedin.
Overdue for its planned refurbishment but you still have a garden centre view and effective heating in the winter months.

B.Found what we needed pretty quickly (a folding trestle table), and at a good price compared with other stores. And a good few to choose from. People are helpful, if you can find one. And I like how they have random little things hanging on the corners of shelves... gardening gloves, torches... things you didn't go in to getbut are glad you saw. I also got non-slip coathangers for a VERY GOOD price from a table by the checkout.

W.Great service as always at bunnings, got some phillips hue bulbs which aren't cheap and then realized i messed one of the fitting types up but they let me take the single bayonet I didn't need and switch for the Edison and even refunded the difference. Was fast and efficient
M.A great range of products at reasonable prices. However coming out of Christmas period they were a little short on some stocked items and there were no alternatives available when normally there were. Additionally, Bunnings are currently going through a period of product refreshes and therefore some products previously stocked are no longer available. Best to check with each store and not rely on their website information.

R.The store has great prices, and the quality of items is reasonable. However, often the isles are cluttered with stock that is left on the pellets, instead of being stocked on the shelves. Quite often you have to back out of the isles if you have a trolley.
But the staff are always friendly to help, and if they don't know the answer they know who to defer you to so you get the information you need.
M.Bought a new drop saw off these guys after my old one died. Not bad: 3 year DIY warranty, so I know I can rely on even the bottom of the line, price wise, gear to last a bit.
Young guy serving was a student studying law, so good to see someone working and hitting some serious study. I assume Bunnings' shifts and hopefully the management are supportive of students who are prepared to do the hard graft of work and study, so good to see.

h.Most of the hardware and bits and peices can be found here. The staff are very helpfull but the cafe is terrible. Limited food not fresh just packaged but they do have some gluten free stuff. The Coffe is a bit hot and over priced.

S.Customer service is shocking. Staff member spent over 20 having a social chat with a mate while I waited to be served!! Had to serve myself. Also, the click and collect service, in store, is slower than actually shopping for goods!

P.They have great range and prices are good but the staff are not always that helpful. They are not quick to get back to you with phone queries and not enough staff which may be why the service is a little off but still great place for DIY regardless and should be supported.
T.Great parking, and great problem thinking staff, they honestly can think outside the box and get what you truly need. Although garden staff are not big on botanical names for plants. Still well worth checking out!
M.Great store. Plenty of staff wandering around to get help from or ask directions. Big range of most goods, excellent competition to Mitre 10. Generally I find most goods are better priced here. If Bunnings don't have something in stock, ask first before going elsewhere.

My only complaint is that I'd like to be able to keep track of purchases I've made when I've scanned my trade card.
I can check the last few purchases total price on the powerpass website, and the total spent each month. But I'd like to be able to look at the invoices, and have a full purchase history so I can keep track of my purchases properly.

M.Wide range of products, generally competitively priced. Biggest drawback at times is finding staff if you need assistance.
L.Good store friendly staff. However a bit more thought needed for certain items to be easily transported by the shopper. For example we purchased a quantity of 3 metre wide flooring vinyl. This ideally would have been transferred to a cardboard tube to prevent it losing shape, and this is not something that could be put on to a trolley so we had to borrow a length of wood to be able to carry it through the store ourselves with out it bending.
Plan ahead if you're intending on purchasing something like this.
L.I like the old guy at the entrance and the indoor plants. A few years ago a staff member was really rude to me and I didn't go back for years but the last few times I've been it's been really good.

C.Bunnings has always been a favourite of mine. Its never overly busy, the staff are always friendly and the price's are better than other places. We have just started renovations on a kitchen. We received two quotes and Bunnings was cheaper by over $2000 ... The quote from Bunnings actually had more listed items as well.
P.Good weekend shop, with kids entow... free facepainting and the kids playground. Then to purchase what I Needed. The staff always knowledgeable and point us in the right direction and remind us of extras we may miss out saving us a second trip.

C.I only ever tend to go in if I drive past and remember I need something. I inevitably walk out empty handed because I get so frustrated looking for things amongst the jumbled mess that is their shelving and aisles, and what makes it worse is it seems impossible to find a staff member. When they first opened you could t walk more than 20m without being asked if you needed help, those days are long gone unfortunately.
N.I have found the staff and services at Bunnings south Dunedin to be knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They really couldn't go out of their way more to help a customer (me!) find what I want and need.
Plus - there's sausage sizzles on the way out for two bucks!
I find Bunnings to be cheaper than its orange competitor, by quite a big margin. Makes a big difference when you're doing big projects. Plus the workwork team will cut to size for you for free - a big bonus when you don't want to bring a trailer in, or don't have one. The paint shop is the best in Dunedin - no debate - and the staff there excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

S.Great place to shop if you need something at a cheaper price while maintaining quality on the same stocked item of others. Knowledgeable staff that will go out of there way to help. Only downfall is if you're on foot it's a little inconvenient
E.Good place to shop, has a children's playground and cafe. The garden centre has a wide range but it can be hard to find plants as the layout/sinage isn't that great. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable.
T.Almost always better pricing compared to other hardware or departmental stores. Decent quality too. Excellent value for money.

C.The selection of plants here are a bit different from those at Mitre 10, so may be best to visit both stores. The prices here may be a bit lower for some items as well, but I felt as though there's a lack of staff knowledgeable on specific plants of interest, but nevertheless willing to help.

With their changes which have already been done it appears as though they have shrunk their range and taken away dozens of items in each aisle, likely because those items didn't sell as well.

G.Bunnings is a very large and diverse hardware store with everything and more that you would need, for the home handyman or the professional building services . They also have have a well stocked area for the gardening enthusiasts with products for the home gardener with the green thumb or the professionals alike.

A.Would rate a 6/5 solely on the fact you can bring your dog in while shopping.
D.Amazing store love that u have public toilet and a play ground. The gentleman at the entrance to greet us was such a honey today.

S.This place is Aussie based so we only go here occasionally, good variety of products, has a grab and go small cafe or rest a while, good staff interaction, great parking easy access
T.have to edit sadly as of late i have had to return two products first time no prob ... second time the lady and the tool man were poorly trained..in the end i had to have a tantrum and the got a guy who said no prb 1 week old of course its returnable ...but still awesome people
C.It was a quick in grab what we needed and out again.
A.The plants in the plant dept were dry and there was a scarcity of some vegetables. Rest of shop good.
A.In general pricing are good compared to other hardware store. Huge big box warehouse style store. Staffs are quite helpful.

R.This lot are ok, but I needed a plastic bucket, and asked if they could deliver, this was all on line I was told yes it could be but waited 3 weeks for it, in the mean time I got in touch mitre10, and had it within 3 days
