Good fast team, always willing to help. Cheaper prices overall than competitors. Good long operating hours such as closing 9pm summer time, weekdays. One of my favourite local stores on Te Rapa Straight. Highly recomended for a visit. There is something for everyone.

This shop is legend!! They stock every conceivable item. They advertise that they don't have sales, because their prices are already the lowest! But, the BEST thing about them is their staff have been properly trained, they are knowledgeable as well as courteous and pleasant. It is a pleasure shopping there! Splendid!! I love it that you have the soil for planting and a variety of seeds and many colours. Could you get cactus soil in your shop please trying a new type of gardening, you have good access to lime and dolomite that can be hard to fine and your shop has it thankyou. Just need some lemon grass. No photos yet, but so far according to my 8 cats your cat grass and mint and coriander would you believe it is great. 💖🌺

Huge store with an enormous range of goods, to the extent that it can be hard to find what you want. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, but there are only a few of them. More often than not they are helping someone else find something. There are bargains for people who look for them. The toilets were looking a bit worn, which I find ironic in a hardware store (when you have the tools, consumables and people available to keep it looking functional) and they needed a good clean.

We love Bunnings at the worst of times, but we have a 4yr old autistic son, who had been having withdrawals not visiting during level 4 2021 to the point he was ringing Bunnings in the middle of the night. (Face palm plant) We had been able to calm his withdrawals by making up Bunnings visit stories, Bunnings Warehouse lowest prices guaranteed” was on daily repeat, we had to avoid him going in car rides as he would become distressed when there was no Bunnings visit. Once level 3 hit we ordered his fav Bunnings building truck blocks online, knowing we had a work delivery to do and a trip in the car for him was unavoidable.. after processing payment was told we had another 5 day wait for pickup.. (face palm plant) Doing the delivery for work and he was in the car, he became highly distressed, crying for Bunnings with every breath, we had stopped to buy his fav drink and ice lock in hope to distract his thoughts… with zero luck ally all….so in desperation I made a call to Bunnings… We were initially told we had to wait like everyone else, (fair call) but I explained our situation with our son, and Kaye from Bunnings Te Rapa so kindly agreed to allows us to pick up and had it ready and waiting within 10mns which absolutely saved our day, totally made my sons day and gave us our calm and happy son back till the doors reopened in level 2 and we were able to take him right back in.. Thank you guys and Kaye who attached a beautiful hand written note and included an inflatable hammer that he had never seen and loved and he sacked his siblings over over repeating His Bunnings Warehouse lowest prices guaranteed with great delight.. hahaha. Really meant a lot to our whānau, and son..Ngaa Mihi nunui Bunnings … you have an obsessed Bunnings shopper for life

I quite often pop in for a coffee and the staff in there are exceptional. There is a lovely young girl in there Ayla who’s coffee is amazing and service always great. There has been a few times when there are more than a couple people waiting and another young girl (looks same age with blonde hair) jumps in and helps. I’m not sure of her name but she takes off her coat and bright vest and does what she can. Her coffee I’ve noticed is also great. It’s a refreshing surprise to see people help each other and these two enjoying their jobs together. After the rush you can hear them laughing and it’s nice to listen to. Keep it up!

Customer service is almost non existent. Waste more time in store trying to find staff to assist you than what it does to complete the job you came to buy the items for. The guy in the Cafe is excellent though and makes a damn good coffee at a very reasonable price. Very frustrating store to shop in if you are in need of a assistant. Although slightly more expensive, I would suggest MITRE 10 where the customer service is a lot better.

I love Bunnings but annoyed this week that they told us they definitely had the product we needed and when my tradie got there, sorry no stock. Of course that cost me money!! Tradie then running around town trying to find the product we needed. Staff need to be aware of this. Make sure you are giving the customer the right information. Large items are taking longer for delivery at the moment too. Don't count on 3-5 days. If you need something go pick it up.

I've never been in a Bunnings this big, it's great an I only looked in the plant section. I got kale an silverbeet plants for my winter garden. The staff helped me out twice an they were friendly helpful an had great sence of humour. Heaps of plants I could have filled my car. I love the shop but I'm sad the Bunnings in our town Te Aroha closed sob sob. Next time I go to Hamilton I'm looking throughout the whole shop of Bunnings. I'm bring my piggy bank lol

Great price range and can find almost anything you are after. But unfortunately both the Hamilton stores staffing are pathetic. Everytime we go to bunnings there are hardly anyone their to help. So much time is wasted waiting for someone to come and help. Even if a staff comes to help they don't tend to know what we are after and always call for another staff who doesn't show up for a while. Purpose : Went to get clarification on the 'fastcrete'concrete powder products available at bunnings to fillup pits on the road in front of our house. Time of visit: around 3-5pm Tuesday , Sep 2020. The officer on duty was a welcoming person.having questioned about my requiremnt , went to the shelf and explained each and every product with pros and cons related to my purpose. I am fully satisfied as a customer, he adopted a customer oriented style and pleasant when speaking. He is knowledgable on his area of work,confident in explaning . Great service from the kitchen design department. Gave us a quote for caboodle kitchen cupboards. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only part of this store that could do with improving is the cafe. Very basic food and service to the point we would go elsewhere another time. Cafe prices low so I guess for some customers it is suffice.

One of my favourite places in town. Always a good price and they generally have everything I want when I head in. My only real complaint is they often don't have enough checkouts open and you often have a massive line at the information desk because that's the only one up the front that's open. Best bet is to try checkout at the tools counter if you can. Otherwise always love shopping here.

Because of the lack of oxygen we were not able to get anything from here which forced me to head down to mitre 10. I was able to shop in comfort and spend money. Sorry Bunnings i have to give you a 3 star. My visit on the 21st Jan 20 was ok. However the lack of customer service and checkout staff is ridiculous. I stood at the end of an aisle searching for help but no one was around. Only one checkout was open and a line of customers with lots of products waiting. I only had one product which took almost 20 minutes to find after been directed to the wrong aisle. The returns aisle had a quite a few people waiting in line also. Luckily for me a customer who was also waiting for the returns aisle said to me you only have 1 item it will be faster for you to go to the tools section check out i would still be waiting. Disappointed Bunnings because i love shopping here. Maybe the Welcome person at the entrance could have a walkie talkie to advise staff management that more checkouts are needed as they have full view of all the checkouts? Just my 5cents worth suggestion?

Experience mostly good but dealt with some young slackers who said they couldn't assist me as they were loading some timber onto a forklift. Went to see Haley at the counter and was told that yes it was a safety issue but all they had to do was put it down and assist me. Haley saved the day need more staff like Haley Bunnings.

I had an issue this morening with a FlexiStorage product that I bought earlier this week. I was busy installing the shelving system (not at home, but close to Bunnings Te Rapa). The holes in the rails did not match up with the pegs on the tote shelving system. Needles to say, I was extremely annoyed (not with Bunnings, but with the manufacturer). I took the product back to see if I can change it for the right one, even though I did not have my receipt with me and I have already removed the labels. No problem! The friendly (and very patient) lady at the exchange desk found the record of my purchase on their system and I could exchange the items and even got some money back. Well done Bunnings and thank you friendly lady for your patience with a slightly upset customer.

Went to get some plants and compost. I had 6 x 40 litre bags of compost loaded on my trolley, waiting in the queue at the garden center part, when the lady in the little shed serving us decided it was to wet to continue. Sent us to the main counter inside. It was drizzling with a very light rain. But as the elederly couple in front of me pointed out. We're gardner's and this very light drizzle was perfect weather, not cold and she wasn't getting wet in her shed. Id parked close to the garden center, purposely, so I could more easily get to it with my heavy load. By the time I had got to the other counter, the rain had stopped. Stink move lady!

Sometimes the staff are short in one area - yet in others there seems to be a plethora of people conversing among each other. Unfortunately often this discourse appears not to be work related and more focused on the personal lives of the employees and their mating behaviours. Yet despite this irksome situation I still rate the store well, return I will - for the bargains and selection of wares which improve my home and enjoyment of life on this planet.

Went there for a sausage, usually there is an organisation running the BBQ, but it was 2x staff members, the dude had sausages loaded in oil (gross), no onions. Had an unprofessional attitude when I asked for the darkest sausage lol.
